Faction Will you have another drink? [Summit Of Star]

I traveled far across the galaxy, taking the hyperspace route of the Corellian Run. I reached the intersection at the other end and stopped on the planet Ryloth, where I decided to establish my main base. To do so, I purchased a local cantina and renovated it into several levels to operate as a small organization.

On the ground floor, you'll find the cantina itself, along with a traditional dance floor. On the upper level, guarded by security personnel controlling access, there are offices and a private mini-bar where staff can relax and party between administrative tasks.

The second floor houses bedrooms, offering a place to sleep and, more importantly, to sober up in peace.

In the basement, there are clandestine laboratories accessible via a special freight elevator. These allow us to conduct experiments on Ryloth subjects and create less-than-ethical substances, such as drugs or other items to achieve our goals.

This fully equipped building, along with the security we've installed, serves as the headquarters for my organization.

Everyone has their own office, and the meeting room is spacious enough for our needs.

The publicly accessible area is designed to be discreet and unremarkable. We've hired skilled staff, and the customers are plentiful. This creates a significant financial flow and even provides us with free test subjects for the lab, depending on the state of intoxication of certain clients. As a result, the system is self-funded—credits flow in faster than we officially spend them, allowing the business to grow steadily.

I decided to sit at my desk and start sorting through some files to organize things and stamp directives that I either approve or reject.

I'm also expecting visitors, and I hope they won't be too late for tonight's party. For the occasion, I've stocked the mini-bar with the most luxurious drinks and a variety of snacks so we won't go hungry. I've transformed the meeting room into a dance floor, allowing us to party away from the eyes of other customers.

The twin suns of Ryloth were dipping below the jagged cliffs, casting long, crimson shadows across the rugged terrain. The arid desert air shimmered with heat as a lone figure streaked across the landscape on a speeder, leaving a trail of dust in her wake.

Lafi leaned low over the handlebars, her large, rabbit-like ears pressed flat against her back to reduce drag. Her silver sunglasses glinted in the dying sunlight, a makeshift accessory scavenged from an old cockpit visor. Her fur rippled in the rushing wind, a chaotic blend of whites and grays catching the golden light. The engine of her custom-built speeder purred like a predator, its sound almost drowned out by the thumping beat of the
music blasting from a crudely rigged sound system.

She grinned as the adrenaline pumped through her veins. The speeder's HUD flashed warnings about pushing the limits, but Lafi ignored them. She was alive in this moment—free, untamed, a blur against the barren, rocky horizon. She twisted the throttle, urging her creation to give just a little more, the engine roaring in protest but obeying.

The landscape blurred into streaks of red and gold, the occasional towering spire of stone whipping past. The road—or what passed for one—was uneven, a mix of hard-packed dirt and jagged rock, but the speeder's enhanced thrusters made it feel like skating over smooth glass. Lafi's hands danced over the controls, adjusting the repulsorlift emitters for every sudden turn or unexpected dip in the terrain. She wasn't just riding the speeder; she was one with it.

In the distance, the lights of a city flickered to life, a beacon of civilization amidst the desolate Ryloth wilderness, and amongst them, a Cantina. Lafi smirked, cranking up the music and made her final approach while singing at the top of her lungs.

"Feelin' like I'm hellbound !

Headed for a meltdown !
Why do all these thoughts hound me on and on?
Confusing my thoughts with reality !
Zoned out !
Drowning in my own doubt !
Feelin' like I'm hellbound, whoaaaaaa !

Feelin' like I'm HELLBOUND"

The speeder kicked up a massive cloud of dust as she approached, the sound of the music now loud enough to rattle the cantina's thin windows. With a practiced hand, she cut the throttle and let the momentum carry her forward, the vehicle sliding gracefully to a halt mere meters from the entrance.

Lafi hopped off, her ears springing upright as she adjusted her sunglasses and gave her speeder a proud pat on the chassis. Her fur was ruffled from the ride, and she didn't care—if anything, it added to her scrappy charm.

She strolled into the cantina like she owned the place, dancing to the rythm of the music from her speeder still faintly audible outside as the dust cloud slowly settled behind her.

Everything is calm upstairs, the atmosphere festive, when suddenly something catches my attention.

A crazy woman shows up on her speeder, a big cloud of smoke trailing behind her, music blasting at full volume.

Needless to say, all eyes are on her.

I look out the window to see who it is, and my eyes widen suddenly. What the hell is she doing here?

Wait, does Mistress seriously intend to give her accreditation? Am I going to have to collaborate on a sniper shot with that?

And on top of it, she's out here dancing like a maniac in the Cantina with her music blaring. What on earth is this demon?

Yeah, how can I put this... no, I don't think this is going to work. I head to the cabinet for some tranquilizers, but Mistress stops me.

"Mistress, are you serious right now? I hope for her sake that she has a solid dossier. I can't even sense an aura on her."

"You know, aura isn't everything. There are plenty of soldiers who fight without power. Be nice and go get her."

"At your command. Boss"
I stomp down the stairs, grumbling. I'm in a foul mood. And now that other degenerate shows up. Just what I needed.

I reach the bottom of the stairs and address her directly.

"Hey you, how about turning off the music on your speeder? The boss is waiting for you upstairs."

Once I deliver my orders, I head back up and storm into my office, slamming the door loudly enough to make Mistress sigh.

she shrugs as she watches Nyva Shei walk away.

"Killjoy" she thinks without obeying, instead, she aim for the boss office, whistling the air of the music blasting outside.

"Hello ! Lafi, at your service" she says, bowing ridiculously with a smile on her face. "Ready to blow up things for you, volontary or not" She burst in a laught.

"Seriously, I'm good with a sniper, and if you have some scraps, I can turn them into usefull things, I also LOVE to pilot things, like my little speeder outside, or my ship, or anything that needs a pilot. Especially if it have some big guns, goes fast, or better : both"

She smiles charmingly to Lyssara.

The Demon appeared in the Cantina without a trace, no wind, no walk in, she was suddenly there at the bar, and the Twi'Lek Tender turning to see her, her trenchcoat of tan, and her blouse open slightly to reveal a black bra. Her head covered in a hat to shield her from the harsh suns of Ryloth, and her long lavender locks falling as if water falls down to her shoulders. Her neck had a cloth black choker, and her right eye was encased in chrome patch, as if she had lost her eye, at least that is what she wanted people to think. Beneath was a bright blood eye, from which she summoned the power that gave her the ability to move without notice, a glass was poured of Twiliquor, a very potent green drink that if drank too quickly would immediately intoxicate the person.

Dominique took out a case, inside was a long pipe, to which she affixed a tube that looked like a death stick, and immolating it she began to puff some smoke from her lip, she began to look around. This world was known for two things, exotic dancers and miners, both slaves. Most men across the galaxy loved a Twi/lek female dance, and there were plenty in here in their various greens, blues, yellows, and even a red or two in skantly clade clothes, rubbing up against each other on the stage, some serving drinks and being pawed at. One of them was trying to be Devaronian to stop gabbing at her booty, to which The Demon with a puff of her smoke did not blink and suddenly he was on the ground with a burn mark on his neck, him crying out. No one had seen it, she had moved with such speed that she bore the tip of her device into his neck, and gotten back to her stool, and had already immolated it once more, no one would be able to claim they saw her accost him. He got up and said,
"Who the hell did this?!" His possee looked at him as if he was nuts,
"He Grug, I think you had too much to drink, no one touched you!"
The Twi'lek Serving Girl walking away and holding her empty tray as she paused. She looking at the Devil who was making a scene, she had not seen The Demon move, but she was aware something happened, he clearly had been pushed from grabbing her hindqaurters and was on the floor in a split second.

The real reason the Demon was here is that she meant to hear about this new faction that was on world, one that she had recieved a transmission from. A Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn who had ambitions, which for Dominque meant a job. She was growing tired of the odd bounty, and the crimes of passion people refused to carry out themselves. She would like something "more real," that would allow her to test the limits of her power.

It's really fun to see that there are people showing up at the recruitment office where I am sitting in a very comfortable armchair. My legs are crossed, and I look up from the file I'm working on.

The first person is a strange Lepi who has a very particular style. One detail that amuses me more than anything is hearing the door slam violently—it's Nyva Shei's signature. At least she did what I asked her to do, I have nothing to reproach her about her orders.

The girl begins to explain a bit about her background and to tout the merits of her abilities, to which I nod politely with a little smirk. I could always consider paying her in carrots.

"You're in the right place, but don't worry, I don't need your resume."

Without warning, I grab my datapad and transfer the necessary accreditations to her so she can settle into the building and enjoy the facilities as she should. Since it's a brand new installation, we still have gaps that is, we don't have much to offer in terms of files or third-party features, but that will come gradually.

The next person to come in is an exotic-looking woman; unlike the first who didn't have any aura in the force as I suspected, she's a soldier. But one should not underestimate soldiers because they can be very strong. I know what I'm talking about; I've teamed up with a soldier on a mission, and I was very glad to have him.

Just as another woman peeks her head into the cantina, she's someone new; I had never heard of her before, and I will therefore approach her.

"Do you also wish to join the faction?"

Without a second thought, I then transfer the accreditations to everyone, at least these two people, so they can freely roam the building and enjoy what it has to offer. We have a cantina, a laboratory in the basement, and residential quarters on the upper floor; everyone will have their own room and can relax as much as they wish.

For now, there are three of us in the faction, but it's the beginning of something that will grow gradually.

"Welcome to both of you. Here, know that there are no rules as long as you don't break the equipment, and as long as we accomplish some missions from time to time, you do what you want. I don't care about many things."

Dominique was sipping the green liquid gingerly when a voice spoke to her, turning she saw it was Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn , the one whom she had recieved the transmission from. Putting down the glass she gave a nod and said in her soft but raspy voice,
"You must be Lyssara, I recieved your invitation. I am Dominque, they call me The Demon because I move with such speed no naked eye can detect. I have long wanted to use my talents for more than hunting down bounties, and your offer enticed me."

She could sense a strong presence emanating from this Woman, there was traces of the Dark that were familair to her, and yet something else. The Demon stepping away from her stool and abandoning her drink came closer, she did not employ her power, she walked as all others did, for she did not wish to bear any hostility towards this Lyssara. There was another, a rather peculiar figure that seemed to be a Bunny and Humaniod mix, was this a race she had not encountered before? Or perhaps something created? She had heard of Sith Spawns and the many unusual hybrid beings that were all over the galaxy. She did not feel uncomfortable around such oddities, the galaxy was full of faces that intrigued her, and long as they were not a threat, she had no prejudices.

"It seems that you attract the most unique sort. I am curious about your operations and what you intend for Ryloth. To answer your question more plainly, I am looking to join something. I have no intention of being a cog in the Sith or some of mercenary groups, I want a vision, can you provide that vision?"

A nice play on words since her power literally derived from her Demon's Eye and its connection to the dark side. She stood at attention in her gunslinger garb, confident that she had a made a good judgement to come and answer the call of this Faction. Time would tell if her talent would be of use and if she would find her place in this Summit, growing in strength and breaking chains. For she had much zeal towards perfecting her craft, and it helped to have a covering, a people who had your back and could mitigate reprisals. In turn she would offer them her lethal skill, and make their ambitions even easier to obtain.

All the people present in the room have now received their authorizations to navigate freely in the Cantina. Since this is a new headquarters, the guards will let them pass from now on.

"I'd say that the goal of our faction is to sit on the throne at the top of the world."

It's both short and to the point. I can't explain our mission objective more clearly than that. Of course, there will be battles, infiltration missions, espionage there will be everything. What I want is to aim for the top spot, and for that, I need time, resources, and energy to achieve my goal.

My operation for Ryloth is quite simple: in the long run, I intend to take over the entire planet so that it serves us.

"As for my intentions for Ryloth, my ultimate goal is to take command for the benefit of our own faction."

The key here is to have fun. Everyone is free to participate in the missions they want, whenever they want. Every small individual victory, every achievement, brings us a little closer to our ultimate objective. Everyone can chart their own path and strive to reach the peak of their craft. That's the spirit of the faction: a free space offering a secure and relaxed haven where everyone can progress at their own pace.

"What is your goal in the galaxy?"

This question is addressed to the two people present in the room here

The Demon lit up a death stick that had tabacco only in it and her one eye which was not covered eyes Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn as she replied,
"My interest lies in doing more than some simple bounty hunting.. I want to be part of something more meaningful. My talents are wasted on scum.. and so I came at your invitation."

She blew a cloud of smoke in the air as she looked at unusual Rabbit figure and then back to Lyssara,
"My skills would help you with Ryloth.. no one is able to, well.." she took another breath of the tabacco and said, "let's just say that what I can do has not yet been countered."

She blew another smoke ring and said,
"What is your end game with this world if I may ask? Slaves? Entertainment? Twi'leks are all the rage in cantinas all over the galaxy. The ladies fetch a good price to be dancers, and men make good miners and hosts."

The dark side gave her a keen sense of things, she could read the room well, and noticed every step, and prying ear. She had already demonstrated her power, though if necessary she would show this Leader of the Star some more of her talents. The aim was the job, to get out from the aimless odd jobs that she had been caught in for so long. Though she did enjoy the freedom of contracting her own kills, having a covering, allies in a galaxy at war was becoming a necessity, and it was the usual, "you scratch my back, I scratch yours."

The woman in front of me is ambitious, she says she's fed up with odd jobs, and what makes me smile softly is that they keep bragging about their skills when I've told them they don't need to.

She works as a bounty hunter? I think we're going to need more than just bounty hunters here. I plan to conquer this place and for that I'm going to need manpower.

"The final quest is to make this place our own."

Well, yes, we need a headquarters, and what better place than Ryloth to provide us with all the manpower we need, the strategy, the location, and we're also at a fairly important Galactic Crossroads.

Rising from my desk, I quietly make my way to the window to contemplate this place. Imagining that it will soon be mine. Of course, I have enough to pay them what they deserve.

"My ambition is simple, I just want to offer us a place where we'll be safe. Where we can live our dreams and party. If it's money and recognition you want, you'll get it, I'll have some big assignments for you shortly, but for now I invite you to discover your new quarters. And i want dominate the entire world, there are a empty seat in the summit. I want take it."
