Bio

William Fury grew up a product of a military style upbringing, in which discipline, respect, and obedience were held in the highest regard. While Fury had been raised with all the advantage that came with wealth, it was a curious kind of privilege. In mansions that strived to emulate the architectural fashions of the Core worlds but were little more than gaudy imitations of the originals, the Fury's and others like them did their best to mimic the customs of the affluent, without ever succeeding. Their hardscrabble roots were far too apparent, and life in the outer rim seemed barbaric compared with life on cosmopolitan Coruscant. Fury understood this at an early age, particularly when dignitaries from the Core visited and made his parents feel smaller than he knew them to be; less evolved for living on a wild world whose outlands were racked by seismic quakes, whose rough cities lacked weather control and opera houses, and whose residents were still battling pirates and rapacious nature for supremacy. And yet he felt no need to search outside his own family for childhood heroes, since it was his ancestors who had fought back the wilderness, survived the odds, and brought order and progress to his planet.

Even in relaxed and safe surroundings, then, Fury was not the entitled child one might have imagined judging by his tailored clothes or rambling home. As proud as his parents were of their achievements, they were also well aware of their low social standing among people who mattered. They never missed an opportunity to remind their son that life was inequitable, and that only those with an appetite for personal glory could succeed. One needed to be willing to crush underfoot anything or anyone. Discipline and order were the keys, and law was the only unanswerable response to chaos.

After completion of primary schooling Fury enrolled in his planet's most prestigious university where he double majored in interplanetary relations and military history. Initially Fury was undecided as to whether to pursue a career in diplomacy or the military. Effortlessly rising to the top of his class Fury was given opportunities to study the politics and governmental systems of Coruscant and Naboo; and while he enjoyed his time on both planets it was the flaws of each that stood out to him, in his opinion each was in it's in own way dysfunctional. He found that each planets commitment to the light side of the force prevented them from making the tough decisions necessary to get things done.

In a surprise twist of fate Fury found military academy to be much more a challenge than university. Indeed the physical rigors that came with training for active duty proved to be outside the capabilities of the young man who had spent most of his life in books or at cocktail parties designed to promote social climbing, only through his undeniable tactical gift was he able to survive his first year. His second was easier than the first but halfway through he was contacted by representatives of the Sith Empire eager to recruit the young cadet from his homeworld. At first Fury has rejected their overtures but when it became clear the resources that were available to the Sith Empire he became interested in the prospect of leading armies of some of the best warriors in the galaxy. Naturally the move from Kal'Shebbol to Dromund Kaas was a long one but it would turn out to be the most important of his life.

Personality:

William Fury is above all else a very ambitious and calculating man, who is comfortable using anyone and anything to achieve his ultimate goal of power. As a leader he has been known to rush his men into situations with a certainty of high casualties for no other reason than to brag about military victories compared to his fellow officers. This attitude has made him unpopular with those under his command, as they know he merely sees them as stepping stones for his own personal agenda. While ambitious Fury is extremely loyal to the Sith Empire and it’s ideals.

Fury is an incredibly confident person no matter what the obstacle being put before him, he believes that he has the ability to easily overcome it.

Strengths:

Small Arms Weapons Specialist

Expert Tactician

Above Average Human Intelligence

Relentless Determination

Calm Under Pressure

Weaknesses:

While talented in many areas Fury has always been a poor pilot, he has enough basic knowledge to get a ship off the ground but other than that completely useless behind the controls.

As a result of his upbringing and lack of desire Fury is a poor hand to hand combatant, if he doesn't have a blaster in his hand then there is little good that he will be able to accomplish in a battle.
