Wind in the Trees

At the Rest on Kashyyyk, Ra was starting to feel more welcomed. While she never thought she could be one of these people, Josh had said they night be able to offer her help. Maybe it was in control, maybe it was with her calling. She did not know. However, she felt drawn to be there.

So here she was. Not walking alone yet, but not entirely watched the whole time. Josh was at her side and taking her meet with one of friends. Not just any friend, but also the Grand Master of the Jedi. She had met with the Sith Emperor, yet she was nervous to meet this woman.

Not exactly scared, but unsure of just how this woman was going to treat her. She was open to what Josh suggested finally and he had arranged this meeting. Dressing in something quite similar to what she had worn when she met Josh, Ra was more business today than pleasure.

This would show in her body language and attitude, however when she looked at Josh that look became less business and more caring. She did not even notice this within herself, but it would probably be pretty obvious to anybody that looked at her for long.

"What is she like? I know you trust her and consider her a friend."

A great man once put to paper that with great power comes great responsibility. And let's be honest here, spending much of her life under Sith training, no positive reinforcements or influences? That power, coupled with being a merchant and baroness surrounded by people in a merchant's world and a noble's world that would want to push her... It was a bad combination. For someone that was trying to turn her life around, do the right thing and do things honestly? It was an even worse combination that could destroy everything she sought to do should someone push her to violently act out like she did again. He knew Ra better than that result. He knew that Ra wasn't like that. Ra the person wasn't like that... But Ra the mind and body was capable of it and would do it without thinking. That was why, when that was made clear to Josh he would recommend that she consult the Silver Jedi. The Silver Jedi were healers that specialized in matters physical, mental and emotional. If Ra was having difficulty in keeping her impulses in check and controlling herself, if she sought self improvement so she may better protect others if that was her wish... Well, Jyoti Nooran was who he knew would be the best person to consult and thus he had recommended her.

Granted, he didn't know for sure what Ra had arranged this meeting seeking. He only knew his own recommendations. If she had come to a different conclusion... All the more power to her, he supposed.

Of course, he had already told her that Jyoti might not be overly trustful. They had spoken at length about her time in the Dominion, and he had warned her ahead that things might be a bit haughty at first when it came to the Silver Jedi, considering her prior loyalties. She had sworn that she had nothing to do with the Dominion's betrayal, and Josh believed her. If Jyoti would, was another matter. Either way, it seemed that Ra had decided to go forward with meeting with Jyoti, some time after the Hand had established a pact with the Silver Jedi Order. Josh had been asked to come along.

At first, he wasn't sure why, but as they spoke, he figured he was likely just here to be a mediator. Someone to serve as a bridge, if necessary.

As the two walked, Ra would ask what Jyoti was like. He thought it over a moment.

"Strict, but fair. Understanding, but all business when she needs to be. Kind, but not one you want to cross. I've told you before that she has been an adviser for me, and has helped steer me in the right direction. Provided she speaks with you at length, I'm sure that whatever you have decided to consult her on, she will be a great boon to you. She hasn't let me down before."

Expecting Josh and his friend, Jyoti had planted herself in her office, a large spread of tea and refreshments across her desktop.

Trying to stay productive, she used the time waiting to perform some admin work, which seemed neverending. It always amused seeing how people focused on more of the "glamorous" side of being Grandmaster, but most of the work happened behind the desk. Needless to say, she was quite envious of Josh who still managed to quite active in the field as an Assembly member. It's one thing she missed while working as just another faceless Jedi within the Silver Shadows.

Her door was open, as usual, as a sign that she was available. She was ready for them whenever they arrived.
