OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Card List
Released simultaneously as Galaxy at War and Black Tyrant's Destruction, Winter King's Deck is a structure deck created by Galactic Illusionary Gaming that takes inspiration from one of the most famous Jedi of the modern era, Thurion Heavenshield . The deck, a mixed White and Green deck, is designed around buffing, saving or improving the player's cards, even replacing weaker cards with stronger ones, or limiting the abilities and stats of the opponent's cards as evidenced by the Planeswalker card for the Jedi Master. Several exclusive cards take inspiration from the native species of Midvinter and their cultures such as Aelvar Archer and Beorni Journeyman and introduces new archetypes for the Forceful Being category by giving them several of the Being archetypes and a new Being archetype called Elementals with the Skaugr of Averlorn card.
The planet Midvinter itself is a featured card of the deck, allowing the player to keep a field presence by reducing the summoning costs for cards in the deck and even when their cards are destroyed. While the deck only has one Base in it, based upon the Fortress of Dawn, two Biomes are introduced that showcase some of the Midvinter mountains and the Averlorn Forest. At the request of the card designers, two unique artifacts of the Heavenshield clan were added into the deck, Anarion, Sunlight Blade and The Heavenshield.
