Jedi Knight Ella Nova had failed to light up the darkness. Venturing out into the void- in between the rising Empire of the One Sith and the rapid demise of the Galactic Republic- she had encountered the dreaded Darth Vornskr, and consequentially, fell beneath his power.

Perhaps her words had run a chord with the Sith Lord, but unknowingly to the Jedi, she found herself deep within the Black Pyramid, a colossal superstructure designed to house the enemies of the One; development of new weapons; and the study of new powers in the dark side of the Force.

Currently, Ella had no idea that she was inside the Pyramid, having never known of it's construction. Perhaps if she were to escape- which was about as likely as the One Sith agreeing to stop the war- then the Jedi Order would know of it's existence. But for now, she would play guest. Not like she had a choice in the matter anyway.

Hovering in the center of a darkened room, held up and bound by a stasis field, the Jedi Knight hung limp and tired, awaiting the return of her captor or other guests from the One Sith. Escape wasn't in her mind. She had wanted to end up in this position. She was following the will of the Force, and it had told her to go to Vornskr, who would bring her to the rest of the One Sith.

War had failed the Jedi. In an effort to restore peace, Ella would do what she must, to ensure the survival of the Republic.

There was always something new to see on Coruscant. Today, it seemed a familiar face from the battlefields of Contruum had found its way to the infamous Black Pyramid prison, which alone seemed to give off its own uncomfortable aura of darkness only seen around the cruelest of Sith Lords. A tickle in the Force had hinted the newly-crowned Sith Knight that there was a surge of Light side energy on Coruscant. Not that every Sith on the planet would feel it, it was just a familiar signature he recognized.

Surely, it was her. His suspicions were confirmed when he landed Patriot at the Black Pyramid and followed the scent to a particular room, where the white-armored guards stood aside for the Sith Knight dressed in elegant-looking robes of black and silver, the long hilt of Bleeding Cross hanging from his belt on his right hip.

Stepping inside, Mullarus' familiar, indigo gaze found the body of [member="Ella Nova"] suspended in midair within the swathe of sky blue. He crossed his arms and took a few steps forward, then began to circle the suspended jedi. He studied her body, looking to see if there were any missing limbs or new scars since he last met her on Contruum. Mullarus himself had certainly matured. His hair was much thicker and longer, falling to his broad shoulders, made to look even wider from the mantle of his robes. The faint breeze inside of the room blew his robes behind him as the thick steps from his boots echoed through the room.

"Ella" he said, remembering her name from the single time she gave it to him in their battle, "I have to give some credit. I'm surprised to see you here. Who was the lucky Sith who got to take you home?"

Gingerly, Ella opened her eyes. They slowly grew accustomed to the dark. Her connection to the Force had been severed- her Force powers abandoning her- but she still felt the trickle- the feeling- that had led her in the sanctum of the Galaxies most dreaded Sith Lord.

A door ahead opened, allowing a man to enter the cell. She did not recognize him. When he spoke, the voice sounded familiar. Still, the Jedi did not know this man.

Limbs intact- although scarred from here Vornskr's torrent of Force Lightning had claimed her- Ella tried her best to follow the Sith, as he encircled her.

"Believe me, it wasn't on purpose," Ella replied, lying through her teeth. "I am as surprised as you are, stranger."

"Stranger. Heh. I knew I wasn't a very...memorable Sith, but I figured you'd remember that Sith Apprentice who actually saved your life from a bloodthirsty pink beast while your back was turned." Did it hurt that he was forgotten so easily? Not really. Mullarus did not care what Jedi thought of him. Maybe it was just the hair. Certain women had told him that it made him look more like a man and less a boy now. Perhaps that last sentence would jog her memory a bit. His dark blue eyes stared up at her as he said it, which would likely help as they were the same eyes as the Apprentice she knelt before on Contruum as a plea to stop the fighting. The very moment before her back was nearly impaled before Mullarus decided she was not worth being impaled like the animal who sought to do the killing.

"Now that I think of it, you smell a bit singed. Flown in from a crag like Sullust or Mustafar, or was your captor a fan of the old Palpatine ways?" Of course, he meant lightning by that, a skill that most, if not all Sith these days could use. Mullarus knew it, he just preferred to not use it over abilities such as Force Grip.

Ella continued to follow the Sith with her eyes, exhibiting concern every time he disappeared out of her line of sight, where he would walk behind her and back around to the front again. She listened to him. His words stirred memories that she had learned to tune out in the intervening time between then and Contruum.

She could almost feel the ice cold pellets that had descended from the sky on that fateful day, as he finished speaking. A slight shiver ran up her spine as she whispered, "Mullarus?"

"The Jedi haven't poisoned your mind enough. Good. You may prove to still have use to the Order." Of course, ut wasn't Mullarus' place to decide that, but it would bring joy to Mullarus if the woman could be brought to their side. Though he had a feeling she would never do such a thing. Like himself, [member="Ella Nova"] was loyal to her cause.

"Now i'm very curious as to what brings you here." His heavy footsteps ceased as he stood in place and watched her slowly rotate around and around helplessly. "Don't be afraid to admit defeat. I, too, was in your place not long ago. Your dying Republic held me in captivity for a few weeks after I was bested by a Vaapad-wielding padawan on Balmorra. It was humiliating, but as you can see, it motivated me to become stronger. Now, I am proud to call myself a Knight of the Sith."

| [member="Knight Mullarus"] |

"Congratulations," Ella replied sarcastically. After the Battle of Contruum, she had thought about the Sith Acolytes she had fought. In particular, she remembered Mullarus well. After all, he had saved her life. A token gesture that she had taken as sign that there was still good in the boy.

She ignored his question. He was goading her. It was obvious how she had ended up in this precarious situation. She found herself interested in his claim, in which he had been captured by the Republic, at the Battle of Balmorra. The same battle, where she had seen Corvus Raaf fall over the ledge at the Balmorran Arms Factory. It remained unknown to her, as to whether or not the Jedi Grandmaster had gone on to live.

"I will never join the Sith, Mullarus. But it is never too late for you to join me."

Vaulkhar strode in silence through the halls of the Black Pyramid. The massive super prison and research center was a region he knew almost entirely by heart. As the son of Vornskr, and a Lord upon his planet, the young man had quite an easy time going wherever his father controlled. As such, this was one region he took particular interest in. The large prison was likely going to be home to anyone foolish enough to challenge the rule of Vornskr or the One Sith. And there were quite a large amount who were foolish enough to commit such an action. One such fool was why he was here now. If what intelligence he had gathered was true, the woman who was responsible for the loss of his arm as well as many sleepless nights was here. And he intended on approaching her.

Eventually the young knight came across the entrance to her cell, or holding room. It didn't really matter. Punching in a simple code, he activated the door and it slid upwards, allowing him entry. He looked between the two guards, nodding to the both of them as he found himself doing quite often whilst he was exploring the pyramid within the past. He stepped in and the door slid to a shut behind him. Hanging within the center of the room, held aloft, was [member="Ella Nova"]. And currently striding around the woman was a Sith Knight, one of which he cared not for. He had a reputation, somewhat, for being decent in terms of power.

"Quite interesting to see a familiar Jedi face upon the planet of Coruscant."

Vaulkhar strode towards the woman, ignoring Mullarus for the most part. Not that he intended on being insulting, his focus was simply on the more interesting subject. And that was the Jedi knight that currently decorated the holding room he stood within. He raised his left hand, the cybernetic arm scratching softly at his own chin.

Ella averted her gaze from Mullarus, to the new entrant. She recognized him. There hadn't been the pouring ran, freezing cold or the heat of battle against two opponents, to make her forgetful of faces. She regretted what had happened to Vaulkhar, as he walked in. But as she had been prepared to kill Nerius and Mullarus on Condruum, she had been prepared to do the same to Vaulkhar on Balmorra. The fate of an entire world- and by extension the Galactic Republic- had been at stake at those respective battles.

It only added the exclamation points to the events that had occurred between herself and the two Sith Knights, that the Republic had lost both star systems, despite her best attempts and readiness to do what was necessary in order to procure peace.

"Vaulkhar..." Ella said softly, as he entered the cell. She closed her eyes, to keep herself calm. She was in the lions den and the creatures inside appeared to be hungry.

The moment his name was said, a grin formed on the face of the young man.

"It's rather flattering to hear you remember my name, Jedi." Vaulkhar would stride forwards, moving towards the device that currently powered what held her aloft. Small machines that emitted the stasis field that currently held her within the air. He studied them in silence. It was clear to any who looked upon his face the young man was deep in thought. He turned his attention to [member="Knight Mullarus"]. He only knew what he had only recently learned upon the Knight's promotion. He was well trained, or so his former master preached. The man was only a generation behind in terms of his knighthood, but even the shortest amount of time could mean quite a bit in terms of skill.

"Mullarus, you and I served together upon the excursion to Toola, if I remember correctly. Congratulations on your promotion." He pressed a hand against what powered the machines holding [member="Ella Nova"]. A small generator and it's controls. Looking between the two of them, he shook his head slightly. "What is the purpose of holding the Jedi here? Like us, she is but a knight. Her power is minuscule compared to the master's she served. She is a grunt with no information we can gain. She'll simply be tortured until her death." Vaulkhar looked back towards the controls his hand currently were hovering beside. His blind gaze sweeping over the mechanism with a frown.

"The Jedi will always fall to the One Sith, and this is an example why. The Jedi have given up the values and principles they once upheld to fight a war. They are spread thin, into various orders, and are nothing in comparison to the Sith, because they have become just that. The Sith."

Without another word, Vaulkhar pressed his index finger against a small button upon the control panel. The blue energy field that held her aloft blinked out of existence, dropping the woman towards the floor.

Mullarus' gaze followed [member="Vaulkhar"] after he entered the room. Curiosity shut the Knight's mouth, wondering why another Sith had come. Mullarus did not know the man much, just as he knew little about him. Mullarus had gathered from the operation on Toola that Vaulkhar was the apprentice of Vengeance. It was always fascinating to the young man how Sith and their apprentices always sort of entangled themselves in a big web.

"Thank you" he said in return to Vaulkhar before he started to monologue about why they held [member="Ella Nova"] here. "A grunt? Knight Vaulkhar, have you ever faced this Jedi in battle before? Even if she is not a Jedi Master, she is a formidable foe. On top of that, she is of few Jedi who remain loyal to the Galactic Republic while the rest flock to the Alliance. She probably knows a lot more than you think. Even then, whoever left her here isn't going to wan-" Vaulkhar cut him off as he stared at the controls.

Mullarus' eyes darted from Vaulkhar's gaze and the controls, "...If you release those controls...you're releasing a prisoner of the One Sith. Knight Vaulkhar, many would call that an act against the Empire. Be reasonable. Don't be arrogant, arrogance is for acolytes." He tried to stay calm, but then, his finger touched the button.

Ella began to fall to the floor, but as quickly as he could, Mullarus reached out a hand and launched a Force Grip at the woman's ankle, attempting to suspend her in the air where she just was. His voice raised to a yell, "You brat! Turn that thing back on! She's a damn prisoner, not your guest!" He reached out with his other hand to grab Vaulkhar with the Force, subtly move him aside, and push the button to activate the stasis field again.

[member="Carn Dista"] would have taken umbrage with Ella, if she didn't take the unexpected opportunity Vaulkhar had presented her with. In fact, should the Jedi Master ever discover that his favourite Jedi Knight had ever allowed such an opportunity to escape her, then she was pretty confident that he would scold her until the end of time.

Instantly, Ella felt her Force Powers return upon the stasis' deactivation. As she swung head over heel, held up by her ankle, she released a Force Stun onto Mullarus and then put out her hands, when the Sith Knight's sense dulled enough for his Force Grip to release her, sending her head first into the floor.

Tucking her head into her chest, the Jedi performed a roll forwards and stood up. She then turned to face the two Sith.

"It would appear we find ourselves in a set of unfortunate circumstances. I don't think Darth Vornskr will be pleased with either of you."

"However, I am not here to get either of you in trouble with someone like Vornskr, or the other Sith Lords that you serve. On the contrary, I'd rather not live with either of you suffering some horrific injury or ended up dead because of me."

There was irony for you, at it's finest. Vaulkhar had lost an entire arm on Balmorra.

"I don't know why Vornskr decided to let me live, but the ends justify the means. I am on Coruscant on purpose. I was captured on purpose. Before you attack, I propose a trade."

Lifting her hands up defensively, at the prospect of Lightsabers being drawn, Ella waited to see if Mullarus and Vaulkhar could be reasoned with. Indeed, the Jedi Knight was not in the Black Pyramid- at the mercy of Darth Vornskr- in order to get two Sith Knights in trouble; and she knew that at least one of them could be reasoned with, if Contruum was any measure to go by.

There was nothing but honesty in the Jedi, at the prospect of the precarious situation they found themselves in; and both men would be able to sense it through the Force. Her powers diminished, Ella was incapable of fighting one of them alone- let alone two- and behind it all, Vornskr was keeping all three of them under the bane of this thumb, without even being present or aware of what was unfolding in his jail. A testimony to his powers, in the dark side of the Force.

Vaulkhar managed to push forth a small barrier within the force to protect both himself and the panel from the action of [member="Knight Mullarus"]. He was not surprised to hear the words spoken by the Sith or to see his actions. Mullarus was a noble man, if any within the Sith could be called such, and he was loyal. Deathly so. And none within the Sith truly appreciated loyalty, aside of course, from those such as Mullarus. Vaulkhar's hand slipped down to his belt, where he unhooked a simple lightsaber. He moved towards [member="Ella Nova"] as she spoke, listening to her words clearly, but his attention was mostly focused on the Sith Knight beside the two of them. He held the lightsaber out towards her before looking towards the Sith.

"Allow the Jedi to speak. My father will kill the both of us for simply being here, not even considering the fact I released her and you allowed her to be set free." Vaulkhar stood beside Ella, but he was facing Mullarus, his right hand at his side, ready to draw his lightsaber whenever necessary. "I respect you, Mullarus. You are a noble man, one I would entrust my life too if necessary. But you must see reason, whatever information she had, Vornskr would already of gotten from her. The man is a genius when it comes to interrogation."

Vaulkhar fell silent, watching Mullarus with an expression best called stoic. If one thing was clear, it was that Vaulkhar was on the side of Ella.

Mullarus' face lit up with nothing but confusion. What was the point of this? Why was [member="Vaulkhar"] trying so hard to release [member="Ella Nova"]? Why did she have to be set free to be allowed to speak? Why was he faulting him for 'allowing her to be set free' when he clearly was not? For a moment, Mullarus wondered if Vaulkhar was an undercover jedi of some sort. But- No that wouldn't make sense. This man has tried to kill Jedi before. He would have been a master of selling the deception.

"I-...do not understand why you're doing this, Knight Vaulkhar...not at all. For the record, if we are found here with this Jedi released from her stasis field speaking freely...you will not place any blame on me. This is your bright idea." he said sarcastically. "Though, I must admit, even for a Jedi you are trustworthy, Ella. You demonstrated that on Contruum...What is your proposal?"

| [member="Knight Mullarus"] | [member="Vaulkhar"] |

"I am here to save the Galactic Republic."

Ella didn't take the Lightsaber that Vaulkhar was trying to pass to her. In fact, she blatantly told him, "No." Turning her gaze back between the pair of them, she begun to explain her reasons as to why she was here.

"I fought Darth Vornskr on an abandoned station, between Sith and Republic space. He defeated me, as I knew he would. I am no match for your Master."

Leaning against the nearest wall, Ella sank to the floor. Hanging by stasis field was quite tiring and her legs hurt too much to stand. Looking weakly up to both Mullarus and Vaulkhar, she continued.

"Somehow, I knew that Vornskr would not kill me. That I would end up somewhere like this. The easy part was drawing Vornskr out to fight me. The difficult part comes next."

"I don't know where I am, but I hope it is closer to the Sith Lords that lead your Empire. You see, I am here on a diplomatic mission, on behalf of the Republic. I am here to try and negotiate terms with your Masters, in order to end the war."

She sighed. Nobody else in the Jedi Order was aware that she was here. Diplomatic mission was putting it loosely. She had taken it upon herself to pursue her own agenda, which did not go hand in hand with the Galactic Republic leadership or that of the Jedi Council. However, Ella was thinking of citizens on both sides, knowing that prolonging the war would only lead to more lives being lost.

The Jedi had lost the war. The Galactic Republic was in a shambles. They were nearing the end of the conflict that begun on Coruscant eight years ago- a quick and decisive win, in comparison to other wars in the Galaxies history- and if the Republic was to survive, then concessions would have to be made.

"I am here to discuss the Galactic Republic's surrender. None of the other Jedi know that I am here, pursuing this mission, nor does the Prime Minister or the Senate. If my side is going to ever consider surrendering to the One Sith, then they need to know what your side want in return."

"We- myself and Vornskr- have yet to talk, following our duel. He doesn't even know the exact reasons why I am here, or why I told him during our duel, that I wanted to meet with the Sith leaders. In the scheme of things, the only people who are in the know are in this cell, wherever we are."

As an after thought, Ella added, "By the way, where are we?"

Vaulkhar nodded to [member="Knight Mullarus"] in agreement with what he said. If someone were to come in here in an attempt to punish the both of them, Vaulkhar would step up and tell the truth. As much as he was beginning to hate the One Sith, he did not hate the individuals within it who followed it blindly. They were raised to be warriors, drones within an ever growing war machine with the lifestyle of kill or be killed. Turning his attention away from the Sith, he looked to the Jedi who denied the lightsaber. He shrugged and slipped it back into place at his side. Knowing Coruscant, she'd eventually want it, and he would give the lightsaber to her.

Hearing the woman's proposal, Vaulkhar perked a brow and had to quite literally bite the inside of his cheek to stop any laughter from escaping. The concept of ending this war because a grunt wanted to, was impossible.

"Why would the One Sith end this war? The Galactic Republic are getting decimated every step. Just because Imperial soldiers are dying doesn't mean the Sith will stop. Soldiers are tools to the dark side to be used for conquest. For every one hundred that die, there are a thousand more waiting to be chosen on the planet that will soon be conquered."

Vaulkhar shook his head. He could not believe he had risked so much to release [member="Ella Nova"], only to hear of her plan.

"You must realize, the Sith are completely different from the Jedi. They have no regards for life whatsoever. Even if tomorrow, we invaded another planet, and Mullarus and I were to die in battle, the Dark council would not mourn us. They would not care for us. Our masters may be upset at our passing, but that is all. There will be no honorary funeral or anything of the sort. We are grunts sent to battle to kill or be killed. And that is all we are."

He turned his attention towards the door, staring in the direction with a frown. His jaw was set. The young man was agitated and he was annoyed. There was no other way to describe how he felt at this very moment.

"If the Sith don't care for us, what makes you think they would care for your order? Your people? It's not as if the Sith are losing anything in this war. To stop the war now, when they are already so close to destroying your Republic would be foolish."

As Vaulkhar said his part on how the Sith did not care for their grunts, it felt as if Mullarus had just been punched a few times in the gut. It hurt to hear not because he wanted to be remembered, but because this was fact, unfortunately. He was loyal to an Empire which likely would not bat an eye at his loyalty toward it. Mullarus strived to be a hero for the Sith Empire, but [member="Vaulkhar"] was right. To do that, he would have to rise to the degree held of Lords like his master, Darth Pyrrhus and his master before him, Vornskr. Mullarus once again questioned his loyalty. No, he would rather remain a pawn of the Sith than fall to the level of calling himself a Jedi, that was certain to him.

Mullarus' face remained expressionless as [member="Ella Nova"] described her plan. Sure, it was not the most thought-out plan, but it was noble. As much as Mullarus would want nothing more than to see the Republic at last defeated, he had already felt the satisfaction of stomping on its banner when the Sith took Onderon. Not to mention there was some doubt brewing in the back of his mind about the demise of the Mullarus family at the hands of the Republic. That was a story for another time. Mullarus, unlike most of the Lords of the Sith today, genuinely cared for the lives being spent on this war because he, too, was once a common citizen like them. He knew what it felt like to lose his family because of a war, and he wanted most of all for that to end.

He did not say it aloud, but he would support the Jedi's claim to surrender if it mattered in the end. He has felt and seen the satisfaction of the Republic falling to its knees and suffering at the hands of the superior Sith Empire at last. The empire continued to throw more bodies at the cornered Republic now to see them finished once and for all. If they stopped now, surely they would rise to power again and strike back at the Sith with their new allies, the Galactic Alliance. It was for this reason that Mullarus also did not want the war to end until the Republic was finished.

"The Sith want the Republic wiped from the face of the galaxy, Ella. Unless your plan is to convince the Republic leaders to completely surrender all of their worlds over and give up, I think your... 'plan' is a bit too much to ask for." Mullarus said, stroking his chin thoughtfully. Like Vaulkhar, Mullarus had begun to doubt the nobility of the Sith Empire. What would become of it?

| [member="Knight Mullarus"] | [member="Vaulkhar"] |

"You are both, of course, correct."

Ella rubbed her tired face. She still felt the affect of Vornskr's attack across her aching body. Although her Force Powers had returned, there was a void in the Force, wherever it was she had ended up. Instead of finding the ally, which had gotten her through the injuries she had gained at the start of the war; the Battle of Condruum; and the duel she had with Vornskr, Ella only felt death, almost like there was an absence where the Force should have been.

The Jedi was feeling the power of the dark side of the Force.

She had felt this only one other time. It had been on Korriban, when she had found Darth Vyrassu and the Jen'ari Empire he was attempting to craft. She decided that the Force was not in this place. She would be glad to leave, when or if she could.

"The Galactic Republic has been defeated. Prolonging the war will only bring about it's destruction. I have to try and make your leaders see reason. It was the Force that led me to Vornskr. I have been granted visions, where the war ends. Perhaps I misread them..."

Lifting her gaze back up, she released a small smile. "Whatever happens... If I do fail to convince the One Sith to negotiate with the Jedi for our surrender... Then at least some good come out of this, by seeing both of you again."

"You know, that I know, that it seems impossible at this point. But both of you don't have to be their puppets. I can help you."

For a moment Vaulkhar considered speaking up on the truth of why he was here, on what he had been doing since the skirmish upon the planet of Toola. But he bit his tongue and decided to remain silent upon the matter of his life and his choices. With that being said, he found it increasingly more difficult to not speak involving Ella's mission to Coruscant. To take the matters of the Galactic Republic into her hands like this was foolish, but to throw in the fact she willingly put herself on a suicide mission in hopes the One Sith would be merciful towards the Galactic Republic and allow them to survive, when they were so close to being annihilated was beyond foolish. It had a certain, childlike-innocent surrounding it, though, ignorance would be a better word to describe the actions.

"Do not worry yourself involving my stance upon the force, Ella." If she were to look upon him, to feel his connection to the force, the woman would note a distinct lack of the Dark Side. Though it was still there, feint streaks of it slithering about through the essence of the force surrounding him, she'd not for the most part, what power once consumed him had all but vanished since there battle. "I have chosen my path, and that path is why I am here. Your mission is one of suicide, and I'm sure even Knight Mullarus would agree with that." He turned towards Mullarus, seeming to plead towards the man's better nature.

"Yes, what you're doing here is noble, Ella. But it is suicidal, if you wish to stop the war you must do so in a manner that will aid the Galactic Republic. If the Jedi learned of your actions, they would be infuriated with the One Sith for taking you captive and likely torturing you until you eventually perish. But how would the Republic react? With the withdrawl of the Jedi Order, or at least as rumor has it..." He pauses, further gathering his argument against her actions. "There is likely a growing lack of trust between the Republic and your Order. What if they found out you willingly did this? And failed. The rift formed between the Republic and the Order would send the Republic into a state of chaos, one it could never hope to come back from. And then they would be annihilated as if they had never existed in the first place. Your actions are noble, but they are foolish. Leave Coruscant, return to your order, and prepare your people for the onslaught."

[member="Ella Nova"] | [member="Knight Mullarus"]

Mullarus decided to keep it short and simple this time.

"If you ask me, there's just no hope for surrender. It is clear the Republic has lost. Now the Sith will deliver the killing blow."
