Even when the storms had died down, the numbing chill never left this planet. Very few people took such interest in this planet due to the scarce resources it might have, but the Sith Order still had to make their presence known for monitoring activities within the sector. Occasionally they had to deal with creatures who prowled on their tauntauns, but it was difficult to track as the culprit seemed to use the storms as cover.

”I don’t care if you freeze out there, you will find the source of our missing beasts, or I will give you a swift death that you desire.” A twi’lek man said in a low and threatening voice towards a dark haired woman with green eyes. His leku twitched out of annoyance as the woman before him had been rather bothersome for an Acolyte. Always testing his authority, and he swore that the pointy eared human was the source of rumors floating around. Rumors that had no base, yet they still lingered on everyone’s mind.

The outpost was built inside a network of caverns that shielded them from the blizzards that had become infrequent to say the least. The elven Acolyte merely presented a mock bow as she could feel his restless state of mind. His anger that constantly fueled his actions. It wasn’t time just yet, but she had every intention to make sure this Knight dies. Just… not yet. The timing wasn’t right, and she had to do it carefully or else she’d be executed by the full force of the Sith Order.

”As you say, just try not to look too disappointed on my return.” Cellica was perhaps a bit crass with her wording, but it wasn’t enough grounds for the Knight to strike at her. It only fueled his growing frustration with annoyance as he shook his head with a dismissive wave of his hand. She didn’t need to read his thoughts to know that he hoped that she didn’t come back as it would less of a headache.

Just as Cellica left the office and made her way over to her chamber. It was there that she came across a somewhat familiar face. Only by passing of course as Cellica never got a chance to talk with hardly anyone since Knight Xesh had her running around doing what should’ve been impossible tasks for anyone to pull off. Whether it was to retrieve missing survey logs that had fallen into a den of wompas, or venturing deep into the frozen wasteland to check on the survey beacons at specific locations to ensure they were working; and to fix them if need be. The latter might be simple, but the planet was unforgiving and has claimed several lives already.

”I’d give Lord Xesh a moment to collect himself. He seemed to be rather frazzled.” Cellica advised with her words flowing past her lips smooth as silk, her usual skin of golden hue from what could be seen had taken a pale complexion in contrast to the usual white and light blue lighting. It wasn’t exactly secret knowledge that Xesh didn’t like Cellica at all, not even a gram of likeness, but due to certain rules in place he couldn’t outright kill her since she was placed under his watch. Only time would tell if one of them should fall, and it was inevitable.

The frozen wasteland of a world hadn't been Adean's first choice for a mission. Quite frankly, her first choice would've been no mission at all. Alas, be it fate or force, she was not so lucky.

The facade was easier to keep up on the outpost. Rather, there was little upkeep she actually had to do. The eyes that were on her now had been here for some time and would, for the most part, remain here for some time after her. As such, she found that outside of responding to 'Brassius Zambrano' she could act as she saw fit. The isolation was freeing, in a way, just as it was maddening.

She'd buried herself in the outpost's meager excuse for records. Whether it was develop a rudimentary understanding of how the outpost's sensors work, identify patterns in reported disturbances, or catch discrepancies in supply notations she had dedicated herself to appearing useful while spending the least amount of time among the elements as she could help it. Still, any amount of time was too much.

Her fingers burned something fierce as she reentered the outpost, her gloves having done their job of keeping her appendages attached despite the bitter cold's best efforts. The first few instances had nearly brought the Epicanthix to tears when she first arrived, will along with the terror of showing weakness keeping her eyes dry. Now, she ignored the pain, shrugging off her outer coat as the semi-familiar woman spoke.

"What happened this time?" Adean never would've spoken so casually at either of the academies. Likely not on any of the other Sith worlds, either. Yet she'd seen enough of the pointed-ear humanoid to gather she drew the Twi'lek's ire like few had previously. Just as she'd seen enough to imagine Celica wasn't particularly bothered by the Twi'lek's wrath, either. The upstart was someone Adean could benefit from growing closer to, at least for now.

Cellica couldn’t fathom how some people could survive out in the wastelands, especially with how fierce the storms can get. Even with the heavy doors that shielded the outpost from the numbing chill that dug deeper than any vibroblade through the layers that was supposed to keep the young woman warm. However, Hoth had proven time and again just how brutal it can be. And to think that Cellica was now tasked in locating the missing shipments.

”Just the usual breathing the same air and suddenly he acts like I stole his ice cone.” The pointy eared human spoke of it lightheartedly as if it was less of a death sentence and more like a prank. At least that was certainly the vibe as Cellica allowed herself to smile, albeit small as she internally dreaded having to venture out in the wasteland.

”But it would seem that our shipment of supplies never made it from the spaceport. So I’ve been given the lovely task of investigating and see what the fuss is all about.” It was one thing to make light of someone’s suffering, especially of Xesh’s, but Cellica was no fool. Without the supplies they wouldn’t last much longer. It’ll become even more perilous once another storm hits their location as they tend to last minimum three standard days worth.

Cellica glanced over at the side for a moment as she weighed her options. Venturing out in the wasteland for a lost shipment was the equivalent of searching for a needle in a haystack. Even with the planned route on hand, it could deter from the expected path, and Hoth was infamous for burying any tracks that would’ve been left if any.

”You wouldn’t happen to have a shuttle or a starfighter docked around here by any chance?” It would certainly make the journey a bit easier than to trek on foot. Knowing Xesh, he likely meant for Cellica to walk out there with barely enough supplies to last. But since he had never specified that, Cellica intended to exploit that loophole by seeking aid from others if they were willing.

A delicate brow rose at the other's nonchalant answer. While she knew not the specifics of Cellica and her almost rivalry with the Lord Xesh, there simply had to be more to it than shared air. Adean couldn't help but be curious as to what the origin of that was and, more specifically, how she could avoid experiencing a similar fate should the other woman depart from this frozen realm.

"You're braver than most, taking his fetch quests in stride." Perhaps foolish was a more apt description to wind up in such a position to begin with. Yet it wasn't Adean's place to judge, at least not outwardly. Flattery was a far more useful tool than shame, one that she employed quite regularly when she had the misfortune of being perceived.

Supplies being lost...now that was an issue and one that affected all of them. Adean shuddered to imagine what it'd feel like should the outpost lose power and all their battery packs run out. Without that supplies run, it was a very real possibility.

"I don't have one, no," Not even the name she was known as was something Adean owned. Posing as a member of the Zambrano family had granted her privilege in some situations; a personal ship was not one of them. Not yet, at least. There was a hope that once she got past this supposedly brief venture, she could set to work climbing the ranks of the various organizations she'd ingrained herself into, but that was all purely theoretical.

It didn't mean she was completely without options, however.

"Give me a moment." Burying herself in a datapad, Adean set about pulling records of previous correspondence from the spaceport. Her previous records work would be a blessing in disguising her new purpose as she spliced codes together to create a new signal.

"I'm having a request for the outpost's shuttle sent from the spaceport, assuming it works at least." Unlike any personal shuttles that might've inhabited whatever extra hangar space they had, the outpost maintained one shuttle to be used only at the order of the outpost's command...or special request from those above. "In a couple hours, I'll send a new correspondence, saying the previous message was an error - should give enough time to be on the proverbial road and conveniently miss the summons to return, at least until the supplies are found, you know?" She hesitated before hitting the final key to actually send the request in. What if Cellica used the opportunity to skip out completely? Was this worth sticking her own neck out?

"Are you sure you'd be able to get the supplies yourself with the shuttle? Maybe an extra hand would help?"
