Public Work Hard, Party Harder | Agents of Chaos + Open

30fnsF.png

Pain and pleasure. Since the day history began to form, that has always been a thing. Ryloth and Siskeen had been freed from the hands of the Confederate Empire. The Agents of Chaos would never deny that they took pleasure in what they did - the removal of the Altar, the fear struck into the hearts of Confederates, and more, had brought them pure joy. Returning home to see the floating bodies… That had been the pain. The cold blooded murder of those who had been just refugees, not even politically aligned with the Agents, many of them not even interested or aware of issues in the Southern Systems or anywhere outside of their corner of the Unknown Regions, had been snuffed out. One of the Confederate leaders had even gone as far as to say it was okay to kill them because they were slaves. It was ridiculous, all over.

And while the pain was still not over, was still being handled, the sphere of HOPE was now repaired and extra security added, it was time to enjoy the pleasure again.

The Agents of Chaos' message to the Rylothians had been heard. Twi'leks around Ryloth had begun to rise and to demand freedom for their planet. Not even the Confederate lies about those who had been evacuated to Trendivar being slaves had been enough to halt that. Ryloth and even Siskeen, despite the events that happened there, had spoken.

And now they were here again, with ships laden full with construction materials. With the recent improvements in the Agents of Chaos and the Scintilla's financial state, there was very little they wanted for, and they had enough to share.

The attack on the capital biodome had not been something they had done. But now was their moment to show why the planet was better off being free than being under foreign reign. They would remind the Twi'leks that they had something they had not received in a very long time - choice. There would be no removal of the biodomes unless the Twi'leks themselves wanted to do it. But for those who wanted to remain there and continue their lives in the capital biodome, the only one to have been damaged during the war, the Agents of Chaos were there to help with repairs.

And as always, time was against them, though this time the added pressure brought smiles to their faces. The city center square had to be finished today - because there was a wedding planned for a small handful of hours from now, which would take place there, and mark the celebrations of freedom and a new life.

Not only would the streets be prepared and made safe again, but there would also be a monument raised in the location, symbolising the end of the dark days. And to make things even better - those who had chosen to go to Trendivar during the more violent days would be returning. The records were made public and were open for scrunticious viewing to ensure the data was correct - not a single one of them had become a slave, nor even seen evidence of slavery during their time on Trendivar, receiving humanitarian aide.

In preparation for the end of the construction, an armada of food stalls had been set up, with peddlers selling their food creations, many of them authentic and native to Ryloth, with a small number of food industry representatives from places outside of Confederate territories. Prices were all at 80% off. People were free to help with the repairs, or just enjoy the noms while Rylothian bands took a corner and provided music for those who had already arrived.

Today would be a day of celebration. Today, with the repairs, the food, and the wedding, would be the first celebration of the new national holiday - Freedom Day.

30fMVX.png
Food time! And drink! Whether you want to try Rylothian Yurp, Roast Gornt, or any other Twi'lek delicacy, now's a good time to try it out! Foods from other planets are available as well. Bonapetite and cheers!

30ftQe.png
The repairs are almost done! A fresh coat of paint for the nearby buildings, a few more doors and windows, and the city center will look shiny new!

30fXkM.png
If you're not hungry, thirsty, or want to paint a wall, you can go ahead and take a seat - doesn't matter which side, since it feels like people are coming from all around the planet to celebrate the wedding of Petcaze, a rising young star in the Rylothy political scene who had been speaking with passion about the need for the planet to remain free and for more trade with other planets as well as forming creative pacts, and Owidzehe, the daughter of one of the Freedom Fighters who had died during the war. This is going to be a joyous celebration of love and hope ♥

The dusts of Ryloth coated Domino's spacer leathers, the oil stained work gloves she wore working on her ship were tucked in the back of her belt as she walked down the row of vendors stalls. She'd only been helping out since mid-morning but with the festival atmosphere inundating her ancestral home she was already finding herself ready to toss back something cold, something refreshing, and maybe something intoxicating. And food, lots of food. Something local, scratch that, something the locals were eating.

Finding a water station serving the stuff chilled was easy enough, the people of Ryloth knew the importance of hydration and supporting major work crews fixing your own home was just being neighborly, and after slaking her immediate thirst and tossing the little paper cup into the recyc bin, she moved on down the row. Something smelled good, a spicy grilled meat, she could already taste it.

Objective: Recruit for/Advertise the AoC Armada! Do Photo Ops!
Location: Capital Dome - Outdoor Recruitment Station

The day that she decided to enlist in the accelerated starfighter training program at the Fleet Academy of the Scintilla, Bella had not anticipated that she would have the opportunity to do photo ops.

For the past hour, she had been taking photos in front of a magenta-hulled Needle interceptor with a number of people, including small children, hopeful Armada recruits, families, and even a few elders. Clad in her skintight flight suit, Bella hoped that she made for an attractive presence, one that would convince a few people to join Armada while also looking good in the photos. All the while, in the booths adjacent to her, a few Armada personnel were handing out information packets and making conversation, presumably fielding various questions from each of the prospective recruits. Fortunately, Bella’s job was much easier, since she didn’t necessarily have to engage much in the way of conversation.

“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I saw you in a holovid!” The excited, high-pitched voice of a woman vibrated in Bella’s montrals. When Bella turned around, she was greeted with the enthusiastic, yet thoroughly astonished features of a female Lethan, who was seemingly on the verge of fainting. “Y-you were at GalaVision!” She continued. “I’ve watched the opening so many times on HoloTube and your face is like...ingrained in my mind!”

“Would you believe it if I told you that I received my tickets for free as a part of my benefits?” Bella answered softly, smirking as she took in the Twi’lek’s delicate features.

“What?! Are you serious? Free tickets to GalaVision?!”

“And more~” Bella replied with a coy wink. “Want a selfie?”

“SQUEEEE!”

In the days that had followed her battle with Lirka Ka Lirka Ka at the Mandragora castle, Scherezade was mostly running between checking up on her sister, who'd literally lost her face during her own fight, and to the mirror, to remove churi feathers out of her hair. People said glitter was the hardest thing to get rid of. People were wrong! She'd brushed her hair hundreds of times since, and had even gone through it with a lice comb, and still those infernal feathers showed up at random places. She was going to have to invent naked churi if she ever wanted to ride one again. Or use one as a baseball bat again.

Her hands gingerly wrapped around a small paper bag that had been handed to her, containing cheese cubes of a special variety, in many different colors, all made from the local dairy that could be milked. Two types of cheese she'd easily recognized, back from the days during which she had roamed the planet freely, before she thought she'd been banned from the world. She hadn't been, but that was a whole different story.

She'd come back during that time. Once. But now… The very air felt different to the Sithling. It was as though it had become easier to breathe in Ryloth than it had even during the innocent days.

Scherezade loved it.

Her body was fine. Movement of her limbs was as fast and efficient as it always had been. If mirrors had not existed, Madalena would probably not even realize something bad had happened to her on this very planet. But she had mirrors. She had plenty of mirrors. And still, the medical staff had attempted to not let her look at herself for those first few days. Poor sods. They had no idea what type of a person they were dealing with, and Madalena had ended up ripping the images from one of the nurses' brains, leaving the woman sobbing on the floor.

At first, she had never wanted to look again. Yet as the healing progressed, she couldn't help but look. Under the careful guidance of Taozi Fuyuan Taozi Fuyuan and Rashae Rashae , somehow her face had been glued back on. It wasn't perfect; far from it. At first, she had looked like a bad quilt of various pizza slices without cheese. But then she had stepped in as well, throwing everything she could into the healing.

Now?

Her face and neck bore the scars of what had happened. It would take months if not more than that before new and healthy skin could be grown for her, and then there would be more healing time needed. For now though… She could handle the scars she bore. There would be no hiding, and there would be no shame. She had taken the damage when she blew up the Altar of Spirits, and she bore the marks of it with pride.

And to that, she could add the success of the Agents of Chaos. The mere thought made her smile. One of the oldest planets taken by the Confederacy, and now it was free, as well as Siskeen, despite the actions of its Viceroy who now was officially no longer one. People were rising against the shackles that had been holding them back.

And now, there would only be a little bit of waiting before the wedding began. Madalena was proud to be able to attend it. Only good things could come to the future of Ryloth and Siskeen now that they were free. And a wedding celebration was a perfect way to start it off.

Morgan curiously looked around, slightly amazed by her surroundings. She had been here not too long ago, but everything looked so different now that it was free from conflict and pain. It was a lot calmer, and to her surprise, she actually preferred it this way.

As she roamed around, she spotted a couple of people with vaguely familiar faces, but most of them were completely new to her. Eventually, her eyes landed on someone she did know, Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter . A small smile appeared on her face as she slowly made her way towards the other girl, trying to stay out of her sight. Once she was close enough, she swiftly put her hands on the girl's shoulders. "Boo!", she giggled before letting go of the woman again, giving her the opportunity to turn around.

"Hi there," she then added, still smiling from ear to ear," it's nice to see you again." She took a step back to look at the woman's outfit, and chuckled. "Wow. I love your dress. I'm definitely going to secretly have a look in your wardrobe when you're off on some mission or something", she joked, shooting the girl a wink.

The Doctor was a little surprised as the communication inviting her to the wedding on Ryloth. She was not aware of how much of an impact her aid had been to both the Agents of Chaos and the Twi'leks of Ryloth. The analytical mind of hers thought she hadn't done enough or there was far more death than lives saved. Much to her surprise, they had celebrated her. It was for saving lives. The celebration was also for bringing closure to families and proper burial for their dead. She had asked for a Matron or two to see to the dead she had recovered or that had died from grievous wounds. Apparently, the word got around.

She had bodyguard escorts. Considering what happened on her ship of someone wanting to steal her data, Commander Stephen Cantalos Polaris and Ardgal Raxis decided that it would be a good idea for her to have an escort. Two Godkillers, those who have sacrificed their future to be made into monsters, flanked either side of her. They were heavily augmented with cybernetics, genetics, stims and more. She didn't want them there as they hampered her movements but she couldn't argue with Ardgal and her Commander. Any argument she would have would not have any effect so why even argue.

The door to the hover limo was opened by one of those Godkillers after they scanned the area for dangers. Just the sight of their beskar armored presence made people melt out of the way. Ardgal would be the first out of the door who did the same thing only he was decked out in a nice suit. Rashae recommended several designers though his size and form required custom work. He was infuriating to work with when it came to his closet. After a certain amount of time together, she had his measurements and would stock his closet with nice suits and casual attire. The elegant woman would not be seen without her man looking the best she could get him to be. She stepped out at that point and went to stand beside her man as she cocked one leg elegantly and lifted her chin. She would pause a moment or two to let the eyes on her to drink in her appearance.

One was not supposed to outshine the bride and Rashae would not mean to but the raven haired beauty was what she was. Ardgal and Rashae would stand those few moments as image devices would capture the power couple attending the wedding. Ardgal a being of war. Rashae a being of healing. Some would say that they were incompatible as being too far in either spectrum of life. Some would say they were perfect. There was probably some galactic betting pool as to if these two would marry and even if they would have an epic fight and call it quits. If it was one thing this couple would prove, it would be that they defied any odds that people thought they had.

The two would move down the aisle to take a seat that the Godkiller escort or Ardgal would say was strategically the best option. Rashae would spot Madalena. She would think that being here was a mistake but she wasn't a psychologist nor would she have any idea of what was going on in Madalena's mind, A delicately boned and aristocratic hand would gracefully come up to stop the procession. She would step to the side where Madalena was sitting and gave a soft smile. It was known that her bedside manner was not the greatest but she did try to at least smile.

“Good day to you Madalena. How are you feeling?” She would ask. Of course the doctor would ask, it was an occupational hazard to ask this question.

Rashae had garnish enough viable skin material to start growing Madalena the skin of her face. There were several different types of skin on the face alone. These were gathered and placed in incubation to grow. It takes time. By the beautiful scientist's estimate it would be three months to grow sufficient skin to repair her face and neck. The worry by herself and her psychology staff was to her mind being out in public like this. Then there was the fact you couldn't cage a woman like Madalena. No more than you could cage Rashae herself. Rashae would hold back any comment in that regard.

That lustrous blue black raven hair was done up in an intricate bun. It would reveal the curve of her neck and her back was in full view of the open back of the dress. Rashae would melt back into Ardgal's arm. Ardgal's expression would remain impassive as he would be more or less on vigil with his Godkillers. They would smoothly find their seats and sit to await the ceremony.

Standing near where Bella Bella was doing great work, Alwine had thus mostly kept to the shadows. She smiled as she saw the Tortuga take selfies with excited Twi'leks who wanted to hear more, and nodded in approval.

When the next person asked Bella for a selfie, Alwine came out of the shadows, moving with a lightness that none had seen on her in a long, long time. The new drugs administered to her by Rashae Rashae were working wonderfully, and the pain that Alwine still suffered due to the torture by SIth Empire hands did not bother her most of her waking hours. The nights were still horrible though.

Alwine gave her prettiest smile and moved away after the clicking had ended, giving Bella and approving nod. "You are doing good work," the Head of Speakers commented to the girl, "In space as well as on the ground."

Both of her hands were free, courtesy of not needing her walking cane, at least for the next few hours.

Today was a big day. So many Twi'leks had risen in light of Alwine's plea when they left the system to escape the Siskeenie forces and go take care of the damage done at home. She had hoped that would be the result, but the levels of success had taken even the petite Lupine by surprise. Ryloth had spoken. Ryloth wanted to be free.

Their work was far from over. There was little doubt in Alwine's mind that the Confederacy would make the attempt to take the planet over again as soon as they got their logistics about it figured out. The only thing they could do to try to keep that from happening was strike again - and plans were already being set in place.

Another problem was that the people of the galaxy had reacted positively to the Agents of Chaos' attempt to not harm civilians. Alwine was, of course, always for that, but she was a minority in a crowd of very violent people that didn't really care about collateral damage. It had taken her hours to convince enough people for a vote that they would have to operate in a similar manner next time they went against the Confederacy, or public opinion would be swayed against them.

Many had said they did not care for the public opinion. Even before Ryloth and Siskeen, the Agents of Chaos had been branded as terrorists by other forces. It was pathetic, truly, but it had never kept them from going after their goal - liberating as many planets as possible from those who would seek to occupy them. That said though, it was always to get support, credits, and help, when people were on your side.

And the Galaxy was, at least for the moment, definitely on their side.

As people began the crowd around Alwine as well, she smiled towards them at all.

"People of Ryloth," she said, knowing she was being recorded by more than enough people that it would hit all the social media in no time, "I… We, are incredibly proud to stand here today, on your Freedom Day, and know that Ryloth has taken its future into its very own hands. Nearby, Siskeen has joined you. Some people have titled it as going dark. I call it, taking back what is yours by right!

But have no doubt. The war is far from over. Ryloth and Siskeen's freedom will not last long before the Confederate Empire returns to your shores and attempts to reclaim you. Even now, their Mandragora remain on the planet, and they will no doubt try to use them for that purpose. But you have shown both the Confederacy and the galaxy at large - you demand your freedom! You have the right to your freedom! WE WILL FIGHT TO KEEP RYLOTH AND SISKEEN FREE!"

As the cheers ran, Alwine paused, giving them a little bit to calm down.

"And as such, one of the ways through which we can keep Ryloth and Siskeen free, is to resume what we have been doing," brown eyes looked for the biggest and most professional looking camera, one that would undoubtedly have been sent by a holostation or something of the sort. "And so we say, to the people of Rodia and Talay," she smirked, "The Confederacy has shown what it thinks of murdering innocents and using the people they occupy while lying that they care about them. Let none lie to you and say they did not know we were coming. For the retribution of the murder of millions of refugees, we have decided on Rodia and Talay for our next attack. And while we will not conceal our desire to harm the Confederacy itself, we have no interest in coming for those who simply did not have the privilege to move elsewhere. There are ships available to evacuate you to the nearby and neutral world of Vlemoth Port. As with the people of Ryloth, your safe journey there and back again is assured. We will also be opening a few safety centers for those who cannot reach our evac ships or make it off-planet on their own. We will not harm a single one of you who temporarily leaves or moves to those centers. However, we cannot promise the safety to those who remain.

We are the Agents of Chaos.

And we are coming to liberate your planets from the Confederate Empire. Next Centaxday."

The message would go forth and be spread, she knew. Pamphlets, holonet messages, text messages, reruns… The people of Rodia and Talay would know.

And by the Force, if things happened the way they were meant to, then not too long from now, a similar celebration would take place on those two nearby worlds.

Alwine motioned for the people around her to go back to their activities, and returned to Bella. "You have been working very hard today," she smiled, "Would you like to take a break and come eat something?"

Nearby Domino had been attracted first by the flashing lights of cameras surrounding a fighter of some sort and then the declaration being sent out by her new acquaintance. That woman certainly did move fast. Good. A quality like that meant that she was backing a winner so long as that compassion didn't ruin things. The pilot taking the pictures wasn't someone she knew though it seemed a great deal of other people were excited to meet them. Some Agent ace?

Someone that she'd taken to be part of the crowd must have clocked her earlier interest in the glamour cast before her as a recruiter approached her. "Being a pilot is a quick way to being famous, who knows, if you're good enough we may even be able to get you in Bella's squadron. I can see it now," He waved a hand across the space between them as if reading a billboard "the Famous Femme Fatale Duo! Or, if piloting's not your speed we could definitely use more mechanics." That was said with an eye towards what Domino had dubbed her 'maintenance clothes,' the smudged and oil-stained gear she wore when working on her ship and gear.
"Oh I don't think I'm that good," she replied back with a light chuckle, she didn't want to hurt the man's feelings just for doing his job with her usual bluntness. See? She was learning even if it had taken her near a decade. "Besides, I'm already a member so to speak." And that was it, personable smile unabated, he was off to find another person to charm on the recruit shuttle.

Domino still wanted to go over and meet the pair but it looked like they were already talking again, and while she was sure that Alwine would at least welcome her, she didn't want to risk intruding. Fortunately, as they were force users she didn't have to. Instead she gave Alwine a gentle mental nudge of curiosity, just enough to draw the woman's attention without demanding it.
