Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
The Demon's Reach mining facility was up and running again, Arakyd Industries colossal mining droids made runs to the hotbox and back and the small facility was producing enough phrik from the mountain ranges of Demonsgate to pull down some serious contracts, but first thing was first it was getting phrik to who it was promised to and right now that was a winner of one of the phrik auctions that was recently held.

Blonde's writer wasn't going to get any sleep so they might as knock it out now before they get lazy. So to the tune of David Bowie's Moonage Daydream Miss Blonde sat in her office inside the facility and began to oversee the process of grabbing enough Phrik to place the order.

Booting up her terminal she was able to get real time information on everything and at the moment they had just sent two ships inbound for [member="Taeli Raaf"] and [member="Isley Verd"] they had net a pretty penny with the phrik and now it was time to go and make some more money.

"WALDO!!" blonde shrieked out down the hall calling for her assistant.

"Yes Miss Blonde?" a small man with glasses peaked his head into the door and pushed up his spectacles.

"Coffee, two sugars and lots of cream." She said waiting for her table to completely sync with other devices.

"Yes, ma'am." Waldo said in response and quickly left.

Turning her attention back to the table she let out a sigh and got to work. Step one was getting the mining droid to the hot box, so they ran through a systems scan of the droid to ensure it was fully operational. Once the all clear was given Patricia pressed a button on her console and the mechanical behemoth discharged from its station.

"Let's get you walking." she said pressing another button.

Smiling as she did so the Walker began to move outward and walk out of its charging port. Blonde wasn't a huge fan of running this side of her criminal enterprise but when it paid in millions of credits, devices, ships, and tech she had to admit that this of course was a pretty good set up. So for now she waited for the Walker to move its way out towards the fire and flames of the outside world.

"Put your ray gun to my head~" the radio in the office sang away and Blonde was soothed by its magic.

"Get going to the hot box." Blonde said pressing another button.

The Walker now on the outside of the facility began to march into the hot volcanic environment that was Demonsgate, the trail of lights synced and loaded its path and each lumbering step the massive droid would get closer and closer to the mountain range where their precious product lay. Thankfully this site really hadn't been used all that much by the Ravens so the mountain range had plenty of the ore left in it.

Hell they had gotten lucky by discovering this place and setting up after the Moross Crusade had faded out of existence, and to be honest she was happy to have to deal with the black rose than those old maniacs. She looked out over to her door as Waldo came in with a cup of coffee and a pastry.

"Coffee and Danish, I know you love boysenberry so I got you that." he said as he put the cup down.

"Thank you Waldo, you may go now." She said as she picked up the coffee.

The man nodded, smiled then turned his heel to get up and walk out. Blonde got back to work to check on the droid, by the looks of things everything was going well and she could enjoy her coffee for a bit while it finished up the run to the mountain.

Taking her coffee the woman sipped at it and sighed with relief letting the sugary warm substance hit her tongue. It felt good, and she needed the caffeine to get her through the night. Relaxing back in her chair she lifted the pastry to her mouth and took a bite of its frosting and jam covered goodness, honestly after three kids her figure was never going to go back to tight hot nineteen year old Patricia so F it.

"So good." She said to herself with a groan afterwards.

There was a beep and it seemed that the Walker had made its way to hot box and was ready to go, well almost ready. She had to charge the drill on the behemoth and get that going to break through the tough rock that was the mountainside. They had found a pretty good sweet spot on the mountain and it was filled with the pure phrik ore that would soon be refined and sent off to Braith.

"Drill right here CMD-32" she said highlighting the area on the holo map and pressing forward on the controls.

"I'm a space invader!" The radio sounded and Miss Blonde mouthed the words as she sat down still looking over the holo table.

The mining droid now in position with its drill nice and warmed up began to break into the mountain and pull pure phrik ore out of the site, it was a simply beautiful sight that added up to credit symbols in the woman's eyes. They had been making a killing and now in exchange for this shipment she'd be getting a line of cruisers for the black ties. It was crazy what people would do for this stuff and when you had a mine the galaxy was your oyster.

She'd have to start setting up on other planets as well, maybe go to enigma prime and get that Stygium mine up and running to auction off to the masses. But back to the mining at hand the colossal droid was breaking apart ore and the rubble of phrik was rolling it's way towards the collection zone at the bottom of the mountain.

"Stop when you hit a thousand pounds. We need to be exact and I don't want any extra going to these people, it's a rare material for a reason." the woman said with a hard tone to the droid then took a sip of her coffee.

The sounds of a scuffle disrupted the relative quiet outside the office of [member="Miss Blonde"]. There were a few shouts of protest before the woman's door opened without invitation. A man, Waldo it seemed, continued to protest the unwelcome guest, "Ma'am you can't go in there. I'm calling security!"

The Zabrak ignored the man, her blood red leather duster sweeping about her as she shut the door. "Patricia darling. Your man simply refuses to listen. He acts as though I'm a stranger." Zenva lowered herself into a chair opposite the blonde crime lord's. "No respect for what Red Ravens means these days. Albeit we aren't Ravens anymore are we?"

A shark toothed smile split the crimson skinned woman's lips.

The droid hit what it calculated at a thousand pounds worth of phrik, and when you were digging out of a mountain full of the stuff that was a drop in a bucket of what it could provide. The woman scratched her head then took another bite of her Danish, honestly she could of hired anyone to do this but she was on station and well these were big name customers they were selling to. Raaf, Verd, Braith, really it was something you didn't want to mess up and she had no intention of doing so.

"Collect the ore and bring it back to the base Thirty Six." blonde then took a another sip of her coffee.

The droid began to crawl it's way down from the mountain and down to the collection area where the phrik ore had broken up and rolled down to. She smiled and watched on the droid's camera feed as it stood atop the ore. The droid's underbelly opened up and began to pull the phrik ore inside of its guy to store. This process proceeded for a few minutes as the droid picked up each piece and placed it inside of it.

"Come on back." she said then took another long sip of her coffee.

The sounds and shouts of Waldo's protest called out to her and Miss Blonde chuckled a bit as she heard the distinct footsteps of her old friend tapping against the tile of the mining facility. Now Miss Blonde and Zenva went way back since the red Ravens were a thing and she was one of three people who knew her true identity since the facial reconstruction surgery, and well that was because she trusted the woman with her life. So there was no need to speak in her current voice and she could revert back to her natural tone.

"Not since I last checked." Patricia said with a smile as she looked up to see her friend.

"Waldo be a dear and fetch Zenva a coffee." Waldo sighed in response.

"Yes Miss Blonde." Waldo said with a little mock salute.

The woman chuckled and set the droid to return to base, it would take short moment which gave the two a little time to talk.

While Miss Blonde and her friend chatted the mining droid was going to keep pushing forward through the ash and fire of Demonsgate, you had to admire the amount of engineering put into it by Arakyd, they were built to last and built tough, ford eat your heart out.

As volcanic winds whipped across the droid's body it didn't waiver or flinch, it just kept on chugging towards the base and was gaining ground with each heavy step towards the building. The beauty of the situation was that they only had to sell the ore to the customer, this place had a refinery and since this place was so small it would unfortunately take all week to smelt and refine phrik into a form where it could be sold for higher prices.

But really when selling raw phrik ore to the customer they didn't want to disturb their smelting and refining process, who knew what sorcery or techniques they had and honestly Patricia didn't want to get in the way of all that. So the beast just kelp lumbering forward growing closer to the facility.

The droid had finished its run to the facility and was lowering itself to the ground, crawling towards the loading bay it stalled and paused over the drop site. Parts whirled and the droid dumped off one thousands pounds of phrik ore, it was an impressive sight but it wasn't going to end there. The ore would be taken by smaller droids and carried over to a ship where they would be loaded up and be escorted by the ships given to them by Isley.

It was just about ready to go and now all they had to do was load up the ore. This was pretty much the easiest job a person could have and while Patricia wasn't there to oversee it, everyone knew their jobs and all the droids had been programmed to handle the situation and take care of everything that needed to be met.

Zenva Vrotoa

Zenva turned her sharp smile on this Waldo man, "Black. No sugar please mister Waldo."

Her attention turned back to her crime lord compatriot, "An oversight on my part Patricia. It can be so difficult to keep track of all the aliases running around these days." One hand waved through the air, dismissing her own concern. "You look well. I like what you've done with yourself darling. Very, mature. I'm getting ahead of myself. Don't mistake my intrusion dear, I am, after all, glad to see my sister in law. Naturally I want to hear all about the wedding and have an answer to the rumors of children I have been hearing."

She paused briefly to give the woman a mock scowl, "I was rather disappointed to have missed out on these things dear. But business, business, business. You understand I'm sure."

The Zabrak folded one long leg atop the other, adjusted her miniskirt and continued in a more serious tone, "I'll cut to the marrow Patricia. I've opened a droid facility recently. Outside I have men unloading several of my prototypes. I would like to test them here. Of course I will turn over a percentage of any ore they mine to you. I wouldn't want to take advantage of family."

She fell silent as Waldo returned with her coffee, taking her time to sip some while Patricia thought over what she had said.

"Zenva, you know you don't owe a dime to me. Jarven and I had a very small wedding and my sister was our witness, I'm talking extremely small. And I am horribly sorry that you weren't there, we were meaning to hold a larger one for everyone but then that whole Chiasa being an nerf herder thing reared its head and I'm sure you know how that ended." Patricia said waiving her hand as she spoke.

"But any phrik you want for your droids is on me, I wouldn't charge family." Patricia said holding a fake smile.

Really inside the woman was crying because Zenva had mentioned the kids, she hadn't seen them in months and she honestly hated not being around her babies. She hated not being able to hold them and rock little Jarven junior to sleep at night. So she let out a tired sigh and put her hands in her palms while her elbows lay against the table.

"Recently Jarven Junior was born, well we haven't officially named him. Don't know why, but it's just. After what happened to the republic and Gen betraying me I'm stupid levels of wanted yo. And I have to keep the kids in hiding or else something might happen to them and if something did I just couldn't forgive myself. So until this blows over they are staying with my sister." Patricia sank back in her seat and pressed a button on the table to launch the shuttle of phrik off to Braith, however she did make sure a little stayed behind to get refined for her sister in law's project.

Zenva raised a hand to wave off Patricia's comment regarding terms. "I insist. I have my honor Patricia. My men will oversee a handful of droids and you will accept a portion of the results. They have already been instructed to portion out any ore we recover. I'm not going to run out there just to tell them otherwise."

A sadness filled her smile. "I should have come to you sooner. I had heard what was happening but I did nothing. I'm compelled to make amends dear. Let me help your family. Please." That was uncharacteristic of the Zabrak and libel to grab the crime lord's attention. Zenva didn't say please for just anyone. In fact she had likely never uttered the word in Patricia's company. "You're connection to me is vague by galactic standards. Jarven is my brother by an oath of honor not by law. Let me safeguard your children. I have men loyal to me worthy of trust. A dozen of my elites are worth a division of Republic marines. I could have men assigned to protect your child and sister. Your son will never even know they are there."

Outside, true to her word six massive droids, not much more than modernised Isotope 5 droids, were being overseen by some thirty warriors and technicians. After only a few minutes the droids were brought online, technicians scrambling over them to perform last minute diagnostic checks. In short order the six droids began up the mountain side.

"I'd have to talk to Jarven about that, but believe me I know they would be safe with you." Patricia said with a slight pause.

"I'm trying to do the whole be a better wife thing." Patricia gave a weak smile then stood up.

Grabbing her coffee off of the table she took a sip then sat down on the top of her desk. It was best to move on to a different subject since the current would need to be discussed as a family, you know what was best for the kids and how their safety was paramount in this situation.

"How about we pop into the refinery and pick you up some phrik? On me of course." Patricia said with a smile before standing back up.

"Please, I insist." she said rather politely.

Zenva Vrotoa

The Crimson Devil of Nal Hutta
Zenva bowed her head slightly, consenting to the pattiet crime lord. She knew what Jarven's answer would be as much as Patricia did. The Gank known as Tin Man and risked life and limb to protect Zenva's niece for no reason beyond the girl was in danger. It was how she had met her adopted brother and why she called him such. The Zabrak laughed dryly, "Jarven knew what he was getting into when he married you darling. Don't fret over the little fights as long as he stands with you during the big ones."

The Zabrak flowed out her seat with long practiced grace and smiled down at Patricia. "Alright. I'll not argue with you over the Phrik but only because I know you'll convince Jarven to do what is best for your family." She stepped aside to let the smaller woman take the lead.

On the mountain side one of Zenva's prototypes had already failed with faulty drive servos in one leg. The remaining five having pressed onward into the mine itself. The process of actually excavating the ore was slow going as the technicians began testing one droid at a time in the event another failed.
