Auction Worlds Like Gems -- Maps and Coordinates Auction

The hyperspace explorer Jorus Merrill has constructed hyperlanes, made first contact with lost civilizations, and discovered a wide variety of star systems. Many of these systems have never been publicized, or their locations have been suppressed by one party or another. No bidding character will win more than one lot two lots, meaning everyone has a chance. All maps include navicomputer-compatible data. Non-monetary bids accepted.

Welcome to Worlds Like Gems, the Maps and Coordinates Auction. Bidding closes 4/28, 2100 EST.

Lot A: The location of Echoy'la, the Primeval's source of Beskar.
Lot B: The location of Dasid Anya, an Unknown Regions trade nexus, with exclusive customs permit.
Lot C: A set of maps to the Kathol Outback, with notes on local hazards and communicating with the Aing-Tii Monks.
Lot D: Comprehensive maps charting the Vagrant Fleet's secret routes through the Cloak of the Sith.
Lot E: Very good maps of the Deep Core, with nav data allowing short-range jumps that bypass existing routes.
Lot F: Very good maps of the Centrality, with nav data allowing short-range jumps that bypass existing routes.
Lot G: Very good maps of the Corporate Sector, with nav data allowing short-range jumps that bypass existing routes.
Lot H: Decent (but publicly unmatched) maps of the Rishi Maze.
Lot I: Very good maps of the Maw (OOC note: Abeloth's planet not included), with nav data allowing short-range jumps that bypass existing routes.
Lot J: Maps identifying former Rakata worlds.
Lot K: Very good maps of the Tapani Sector, with nav data allowing short-range jumps that bypass existing routes.
Lot L: Very good maps of the Tion Cluster, with nav data allowing short-range jumps that bypass existing routes.
Lot M: Very good maps of the Blood Trail, a half-completed hyperlane through the Unknown Regions, comprising Muunilinst->Kalee->Kad V->Esfandia->Sharb->Solovarna->Nemexia->Serpena->Dasid Anya->244Core->Annaj->Verkuyl->Skye->Rakata Beta

Warren looked over the auction, and realized something. Having access to the planets and what not could provide him a distinct advantage, especially when he began building some of the finer battle droids. Having a source of Beskar would prove to his advantage anyway, later down the line. "400,000 for Lots A, and Lots B. 10,000 for each of the rest."

Auction. That was good. Marek was able to see what was up for sale, certain things he wanted, but mainly things he needed. The one that grabbed his attention was Lot L, of course. No use having that fall into Jedi hands again. Putting in a bed of 25,000 credits, he figured, start small. Heil.

(25,000, Lot L)

When someone else put in a bid for Lot L, Warren then thought about how much he could spend. "30 Grand, and also you will be allowed to keep a copy of all but Lot A." Lot A was the most important, because with it Warren would soon have the means to acquire Beskar and make rounds out of it so he could be prepared should he have to hunt a Force User. "The rest of my bids remain the same."

Warren then said. "As a boost on Lot C, I'll throw in the designs of a Wasp Fighter. For a boost on Lot M, I'll throw in the Crystal Core Technology designs, and you'll be allowed to reproduce it, but I'll get a 10% commission on every crystal core sold. "

Marek shrugged at the bid. Figure, why not expand the race. After all, if the rest of the Hegemony saw that a map to their backyard was up for bids, they'd probably help the bidding war. But why not be a bother here?

50,000 Lot L
50,000 Lot J

History and tourism and cruises could go hand-in-hand.

"70,000 for Lot L, and 55,000 for Lot J. All the other lots remain as previously entered." This was spoken by Warren, because he was not one to simply waste credits. Owning the maps and coordinates, all of them would benefit him to a tee, because he'd have what he needed.

"All bids withdrawn, except Lots A, and Lots B. I'm further boosting Lots A and, Lots B with the promise of a Wasp Fighter design, The Crystal Core, schematics to all Suvian Sciences Battle Droids, and an additional 100,000 credits on both of them."

Gerion scowled at the continued bidding of the Simian Sciences associate. He lodged a complaint with the auction house staff requesting that the man's likely abysmal credit be checked. Then perhaps defenestrated as soon as conveniently possible. More pertinently, however, he contributed cr10,000 to Starchaser's bid on Lot L and then placed his own on Lot E.

  • Lot L: cr60,000 ([member="Marek Starchaser"])
  • Lot E: cr27,000

This was.. interesting. There were several coordinates that had direct and immediate impact on some of the Twi'leks carefully laid plans. She wrinkled her nose slightly at the note that no one would be allowed to win more than one bid. That was inconvenient. Of course there was nothing saying she couldn't buy the information off whoever did win.. Or do things the hard way as she'd been intending to. Some bids were currently being led by allies, and it would be ruse to outbid them.. Besides, there was still time left in the auction. Best not to tip her hand as to what she was really after yet..

With an internal shrug she keyed in a bid.

  • Lot C: 75,000 credits
