Would-be Mandalorian seeks adoptive parent(s)

A recent binge-watch of Series 3 and 4 of Rebels has given me the overwhelming inclination to create a Mandalorian character.

And in keeping with Mandalorian culture, I am keen on the idea of Zelen being adopted. My plan is to have a back-story (or even thread) of her being found as some sort of war orphan — some ten years in the past — and being feisty enough for a Mandalorian warrior (either gender) to adopt her and name her.

So, as part of the name and soul ritual, she would be renamed to reflect her adoptive parents (hence why the character has no surname).

Let me know if this would work with you, tell me about your clan, Faction...anything to help me decide the best place to start Zelen's story.

Adopt an orphan? Definitely something Gray would do. Plus if Gray adopts her then she would get a big family to go with him.

There is always Clan Akaata. The Pirate clan of the Mandalorian Empire we have two quotes Vi chakur meg vi copad teh te werda (We steal what we want from the shadows) and Aliit Ori'shya Tal'din (Family is more than Blood). We serve as the border guard and procurers of items the ME wants.
