I'm Sorry Dave
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
A bizarre, shieldless design purpose-built to take advantage of poorly-understood and difficult-to-replicate 'phase technology', the Wraith is able to shunt itself into different dimensions to avoid detection or escape risky confrontations. Skilled commanders may be able to disguise their phasing as cloaking and vice versa, further confusing the enemy - the importance of misdirection cannot be overstated when piloting a glass cannon.
Naturally, all these rare technologies in one experimental package come at a hefty price; as such, Wraiths are not meant to operate as part of your average fleet. Instead, they serve as a weapon of terror, striking at shipyards, mercantile convoys, and population centres to erode the resistance of the enemy; they function especially well in the hands of commanders willing to disregard laws and morality alike in pursuit of victory.
Apex naturally does not care less what they are used for, so long they receive a hefty influx of new research funding.

- Everything you'd expect.
- The Wraith is equipped with a cloaking device and a slew of complementary systems designed to all but eliminate its sensor profile.
- The Wraith is designed around a prototype 'phase device' able to 'temporarily shunt it beyond conventional space-time'. The exact details of this process are incomprehensible to most organic minds, but it is known that time passes somewhat faster for a phased Wraith and that it can neither perceive nor be perceived from Realspace; for obvious reasons, long phase-shifts in crowded areas is inadvisable.
- The Wraith is powered by specially-designed Voidsiphons supremely well-suited for its focus on hit-and-run tactics. In conjunction with its supplementary capacitor banks, Wraiths can output a frightening amount of punishment in a short timeframe; unfortunately, its endurance is subpar, especially when the limited number of munitions is taken into account. This can be alleviated by replacing the torpedo launchers with Starhammer Launchers, but doing so reduces its 'burst potential' - few commanders are eager to accept this trade-off.
- Grim Reaper: The Wraith is purpose-built to penetrate high-security areas in order to deliver its deadly payload, most often Baradium-357 torpedoes potent enough to tear apart an unshielded Star Destroyer or high-yield thermonuclear warheads to clear out population centres.
- Glass Cannon: The Wraith's exotic systems are incompatible with conventional shielding and its hull is built for stealth over resilience.
- Reverse Telefrag: Should a Wraith exit phase inside another object, the overlapping parts of the bomber would be [REDACTED]. While the exact details are unknown with the exception of [REDACTED], the displaced matter is for all intents and purposes irretrievably lost. Death due to the extreme conditions of the displacement is considered vastly preferable to the alternative, for crew located in the affected sections.
