- Acts as a form of psychic attack, filling the crew of an enemy ship with fear and doubt and paranoia.
- If used in a hex map where 10 hexes is standard engagement range, has a range of 5 hexes.
- Can be negated if the ship has a Force user performing battle meditation on board the target or close by.
- Can only be used every 3rd post/round.
- The effects dissipate quickly, lasting only a single post or round, but the chaos might take longer to fix.
- Fear. The Wraith channels the Dark Side of the Force to summon fears, uncertainties and paranoia on the target. The crew is swept with these negative emotions, causing the ship to potentially become disrupted.
- Mental. As this is a Force psychic attack it is not affected by shields, armour or other mundane defences.
- Counter. A ship containing a Force user with the skill of battle meditation can shield a ship. This protection can also be used on any ship within half standard engagement range (5 hexes if a map is used).
- Cooldown. The Wraith has a long cooldown of 15 minutes (every 3rd post).
- Organics. The Wraith can only affect organic crew. It has no effect on droids.
Built to resemble a pyramid, the Wraith Projector acts as an amplifier and focuser of Force energy. Controlling it is a Force sensitive Shard who directs its power.
This psychic energy can be directed against a single enemy ship to cause essentially a reverse battle meditation effect. A ship so targeted is vulnerable to becoming disorganised and perhaps even dangerous as the crew are afflicted by their worst fears and doubts.
The Wraith has weaknesses due to a long time to recharge its power, it’s inability to affect droids and the fact it can be countered by battle meditation.
