Alright ladies and gents, this is going to be our OOC where we are going to be kept up to pace with whats going on from everything to do with the Squadron.

Additionally - any members of said squadron will have to be (obviously) members of the Galactic Republic Military. At present, members of the Jedi Order are permitted to serve in military units in non-command roles (with very limited exception) subject to the approval of the GM (who I know doesn't...much care one way or the other). People that are, say, part of organizations with the stated purpose of being a purely criminal organization...probably won't be accepted into the military if they're accepted into the Republic at all.

Along with that, the squadron will be assigned to a tactical-level unit of the Republic Military.

Squadron write-up is HERE, along with the current roster. Options for any new PCs in the squadron involve a few possibilities -

• Adopt a squadron NPC. I've done this half-and-half of PCs and NPCs before and it's worked out quite well, with NPCs being adopted by other writers, after a time, to be made into PCs.
• A squadron NPC can be transferred to another squadron, to make a space for you.
• A squadron NPC can die, though this is not preferable so early on.
• One of our PCs might die! Hey, anything can happen, right? Fighter pilot deaths are a terrible statistic.

That being said, I do hope we all enjoy ourselves here, and if some of y'all don't have an ounce of swagger to your name, I will be disappointed. You're supposed to be pilots, for feth sakes.

On the matter of callsigns -

Note that there is always a story behind the callsign, and the callsign is never decided on by the pilot himself... usually, it's something your squadmates end up pinning on you...

...and usually these stories are some source of hilarity or embarrassment. On the odd occasion, they speak to deed or skill or are derived from your name. So there had better be a good story behind your callsign, or the squadron will find a good one for you.

I might tell you the story of mine, sometime. Maybe.

- so I don't want to see you guys picking something just because you think it's rad and cool. You better be able to back that callsign up. Or, you know, we'll find one for you. :devil:

We (myself and Rion) are running under the premise that all or most of you have recently went through and graduated from the academy at Carida. You're at the nightclub, to celebrate, and Rion and I are there to furtively check you all out at your drunken worst... and likely see you the next day, all hung over at the final selection.
