SPECIAL FEATURES
[+] The illusive Defel Wraith is invisible in normal light and can only be seen in ultraviolet. This trait has been strengthened and enforced in this cloak, allowing the wearer to become a mere shadow no matter what light is shone on it by a simple command applied mentally.
[-] Ultraviolet scopes and visors can still detect the wearer. The cloak lights up like a Christmas tree of colors in such a situation. A Defel Wraith can obviously also detect a cloak wearer.
[+] An experienced user of Force Inertia will notice that while wearing this cloak they have a far easier time controlling their inertia while moving around.
[-] Fairly heavy. It takes a lot of practice and getting used to, before you are able to use the cloak to move about without trouble and silently.
[-/+] While wearing the cloak and when it's "engaged" the wearer no longer sees any colors, but can see in the dark with the ease of a Sithspawn.
[-] It's very, very light protection. A vibro-knife might have some difficulty getting through and a stray blaster shot might just leave a burn, but a lightsaber or anything as powerful as that will cut straight through the cloak with no issues.

DESCRIPTION

A woman who enjoys her anonymity and privacy Ceri saw a lot of potential in the Defel Wraith's ability to absorb any and all sort of light, effectively making them invisible to the naked eye unless watching them through an ultraviolet visor.

After acquiring a particularly suitable specimen she got to work on the skin, alchemizing and treating it with various techniques to make it more effective in the ways she deemed fit. She choose against making it lightsaber-proof as that would make it needlessly more heavy, opting to keep the cloak relatively compact and mobile. After all the entire purpose of the cloak was to remain unseen, someone waving a lightsaber around at the wearer was probably a situation where that same purpose was already defeated.

A lightsaber will cut straight through the various folds and strips of the cloak, a blaster will be partially rebuffed but thermal energy transfer is a thing and will probably leave some burns. Vibroknifes will have a harder time to find purchase, but with enough hits there is enough chance of puncturing. Though with the way the cloak is constructed - not one complete fabric, but rather many strands lashed together - there isn't complete coverage for the body anyway and there are enough places to slip through.

There was sadly only enough leather left for a few cloaks, but with cloning a viable option Ceri is already looking into creating a version of the cloak for mercantile purposes.

Changed it from bruises to burns.

I did something comparable with Sardun's armor at some point, where it was alchemized for increased mobility in the air, lighter falls et cetera. But this time I didn't really want to give out a blanket 'if you wear this cloak, you can do this x' and instead added a caveat that with sufficient training and experience you would be able to use an existing power in a better way.

If that makes sense?

I remember that armor, but that was a Master working with an entirely different material. Still, this is minor enough that it's not really an issue even if it's handwaved. Enjoy.
