The Republic Shield Class Medical Frigate Singer of Peace exited hyperspace in system after a uneventful, but tense, journey.

They were not dropping into a combat zone, at least as far as they were aware. After all, the battle was supposed to be already over by the time they arrived there. The Medical Frigate had been called in by a distress signal from a wrecked civilian freighter, its crew putting out a call for any nearby passersby to rescue them and save their injured. Apparently having befallen a pirate attack, their freighter had had its engines crippled and hyperdrive damaged in the attack before the ship itself was boarded the pirates rampaged aboard it to steal the cargo along with any other valuables they could locate.

Several crew members were already dead, and those who were left could not provide a clear indication of whether or not the pirates were still in the vicinity. With as few guns as the Shield class bore, the medical frigate was mainly intending to get by with the hope the pirate forces had left local space after taking their prize. . . . . . . well, that hope and Wraith Squadron who was packed aboard in the Hanger, Republic X-Wings and Rendili Starfighters at their disposal should the medical frigate come under attack.

The Captain aboard the vessel, Camellia Swift, would take to the comm unit and begin a broadcast down to the pilots down in their ships prepping for launch. "Attention Wraiths, the Singer of Peace will be making its approach to the disabled freighter in a moment. You are to deploy now and get in formation around a perimeter for the medical frigate. We don't have many details of the attack from the survivors, and for all we know its a pirate ambush for our teams going on board. However, that's not your problem, you all need to watch your sensors and keep an ear on this channel in case the pirate forces return to try and take the Medical Frigate as well. Should they attempt to do so it'll be up to you to turn them into debris while our medical teams evacuate the survivors from the freighter. Get going and may the force be with you."

Tugoro had been within the hangar for the entire trip, undergoing many procedures that would guarantee his safety in space. Equipped in his sleek looking Wraith Vapor Armor, the boy would it's helmet down temporarily, continuing to inspect and root out any faults that may have been present on the exterior of his personal fighter. It was a rather rare and powerful model, thus causing the youth to be extremely paranoid about it's safety. Walking out from beneath it's hull, the young Jedi would jump lightly into the air, gripping the ledge of the Aleph super fighter. He would pull himself up and open the craft's hatch, depositing himself within it's cockpit shortly after. With attentive ears, the teen would listen to the instructions that were being broadcast, by [member="Camellia Swift"] herself.

Many frowned upon Tugoro for even considering to use the craft, for the intent of its creation was to destroy the enemies of the Sith. Even so, Tugoro hoped to utilize the advanced fighter in favor of the Republic, to destroy the Sith and other foes. Perhaps he could even get it repainted. The Aleph would begin to hover, it's engine firing up as it lifted off and out of the shields that separated them from the cold vacuum of space. But now, Tugoro was surrounded by the endless void, a rather intimidating and ominous situation to find oneself in. The pressure that had been put upon his shoulders was immense, being named the squadron's leader. He had talked to many officials about the situation, letting them know that he was open to a more experienced pilot leading the team. Seeing as no one had done so, the burden fell upon Tugoro, who began to close his eyes and calm his mind. The feelings of doubt and nervousness would begin to fade as his thoughts scattered, allowing him to focus on the situation at hand. His fighter would glide quickly through the air, it's advanced sensors picking up the disabled frigate ahead. He would fly in it's direction, trying to examine it from his view-port.

Kyber was in the Hangar bay patching up his helmet's heat sensor function in one of the X-Wing's cockpits, making sure he wouldn't be caught In any situations where he needed it and he was without it....again. Kyber finished the patch-up job right as the loudspeaker patched on and started giving out orders in a woman's voice.

Kyber sighed as he put on his helmet and opened the cockpit before jumping out of the X-Wing and looking about as the rest of the squad got prepared. Kyber got on the squad's com channel and the familiar sound of the soft static of his mic patching through as he did so. Kyber started speaking, the mic distorting his voice into a deeper, more robotic tone. "Unless I'm needed I'll be staying in the Hangar to keep the crew working efficiently. If any ships get damaged I'll be here to do quick patch up jobs. If things get too hectic or if you need me to repair anything on the freighter I'll be on standby."

Kyber flipped off his mic and sighed as a crewmember called him over, apparently one of the X-Wing's engines wouldn't fire up....

<((I was really looking forward to 'Wraith Squadron', but it seems the people that joined up have lost interest, which is a shame. I still think we should continue on with it even if it is just us three, though. Then it feels like more of small elite squad then a full squadron, which isn't so bad. We can't really do big missions like this with 2 pilots and a mechanic but we could still do small escort missions for diplomats and such as well as recon missions. I just don't want to see this die off, because it'd be a waste to have the group ruin it for the few that actually want to do it.))>

((The Republic is just dead right now, I can post for this again though in the next few days if it gets no new responses. Also use PMs to avoid clutter))

Kiyron stood from where he'd been sitting and walked over to the fighter. He nodded to the techs checking it over and clambered up into the cockpit. Strange how far he had moved through the ranks and positions. Unranked volunteer to a special operations company executive officer to a small strike team as a lieutenant, now to another small strike team except now as a captain and in a starfighter. What was next? Member of the Jedi council? He chuckled at the thought and but quickly grew more serious.

He activated the engines and and it drifted upwards, and then he sent it cruising forward out into space. His stomach flipped, and he took a deep breath, closing his eyes, to adjust. He hated space. Well, not space. Being in space. Having nothing solid below him made him nauseous.

The pilots of Wraith Squadron began deploying, except for a few of its members who apparently were holding back. In all honesty Camellia could give a damn about what another member could do to keep the crew efficient. As such she didn't hesitate to include her opinion in her response as she kept the channel to the Squadron open as the Medical Frigate approached the disabled craft. "Alright Wraiths we're not picking up anything yet, we'll be initiating docking procedures soon. Unless the pirates welded the docking panels shut it shouldn't take long to transfer the medical team over. Also I'd prefer it if we got everyone out there, I read Flight Leader Taidarious has launched along with 3/4 of the Squadron and I heard that comment. Unless you're taking part in the boarding or injured I'd prefer you launch. Crew efficiency is my concern for now, I can launch even if needed, but I'd rather not lose sight of the overall situation if I can help it."

She wasn't trying to step on toes, but the Wraiths were commandos and pilots, they ought to be in the air unless their ships were damaged or they were assigned to escort the medical team, but ship security could handle that if albeit less reliably. Nonetheless she didn't care, so long as the elite unit wasn't wasting their efforts on laymen work.

Kyber sighed as he finished patching up the X-Wing's engine, thinking that whoever he sees drinking a stimcaf near an open engine again was getting knocked out. Kyber stood up to hear the Woman's voice patch through his speaker again and basically tell him that he needed to get out there, too. Kyber climbed up the X-Wing quickly before opening up the hatch and sliding inside. He tried firing up the engines, and they went off without a hitch. Kyber couldn't help but smirk under the security of his helmet.

Kyber made sure to remember to clear all take-off procedures before heading out of the Docking Bay and into the blackness of space. He adjusted the gyro to make sure he was on the same plane as the carrier before adjusting approach to the facility and increasing speed. Kyber wasn't the best of pilots but he knew how to fly. It was when a combat scenario hit that things got a little dicey for him, but supposedly the pirates had left already, so all he needed to worry about was the inevitable mess of wires waiting for him at the station. Something Kyber was very excited about handling.

The dim red light that illuminated the cockpit of his star fighter would shine down on his control panels, allowing him to quickly gaze over a few small screens and switches. Reaching forward, the boy would begin to press a few buttons, powering down his weapons system, before activating the craft's advanced shields. They would hum invisibly around his fighter, guaranteeing the boy safety from most attacks. At least, anything a pirate could muster up, unless they had gotten some high tech. Increasing his fighters speed, Tugoro would hold the flight controls firmly, guiding the Aleph through space and towards the frigate, which was just dead ahead.

Taking a hand off of the controls, the Jedi would press a button, opening a channel to [member="Kyber Salurra"]. "Stick with me, Wraith," The Padawan would say, hoping that the pilot would converge on his position quickly. He didn't want the group to be separated if attacked, even so he would begin to think of some strategies to use in such a situation. "Watch your sensors." He advised, concluding what he had to say. The channel would cut, allowing the man to focus on his flying. Surely they would be able to set up a perimeter soon enough.

Oh they would be able to have a perimeter up soon of course.

Just not soon enough.

Because very soon the Medical Frigate began its docking procedures, lining itself up with the heavily damaged freighter in order to extend a docking tube to connect with the freighter's own, and at the same time several new ships would emerge from hyperspace, almost parallel from where the Republic Shield Class Vessel and Wraith Squadron had appeared from. Among the new arrivals included some very classically known classes of pirate frigates, about three in total, along with a pair of their own fighter squadrons supporting them. Now of course this had to happen now of all times, but all the same Camellia wondered why there wasn't even a brief change of pace as she heard her bridge officers rattle off warnings and reports of the incoming ships.

Why couldn't bad things even delay themselves from occurring for a minute? Just to give the impression they wouldn't happen?

Well whatever the case was with the lack of deviation from cliche patterns, Camellia didn't waste time mulling over it as she ordered the crew to stay focused on the task at hand and get the teams on the freighter to retrieve the injured and whatever cargo was still recoverable if necessary. At the same time she had the channel to Wraith Squadron reopened. "Listen up Wraiths! We got three unidentified vessels who are not responding to our hails. All of them are old model, modified, Action IV Transports back from Corellia's history. In addition we register some heavy fighters on our sensors. The Medical Frigate outguns two of the frigates combined, but all three could give it trouble, especially with fighter support. Their fighters appear to be rushing ahead towards us, wipe them out and then focus in on one of the enemy craft, and slow the others if we can't get the freighter's crew out quick enough. Captain Swift out."

The dim red light that illuminated the boy's cockpit would begin to flash only briefly, prompting the Jedi to look towards his radar. Several crafts were approaching, some stragglers and some that seemed more eager for confrontation. Reaching forward with a gloved hand, Tugoro would begin to tamper with some buttons and switches, firing up his targeting computer which would move into position slowly. Along with that, the young Jedi would begin to power up his weapons system, the two heavy laser cannons mounted upon his Aleph getting ready to fire at will. Keeping one hand on his flight controls, Tugoro would hammer down on the throttle, causing his engines to glow brightly as his super fighter burst forward with sudden speed. "This is where the fun begins," the young Padawan would mutter to himself, looking out the view port towards the many star fighters that were coming straight at him.

Tugoro's finger would press down on a single button, causing a channel to open to [member="Kyber Salurra"]. "Distract those frigates from the freighter, Wraith," the young Jedi began, sounding unsure of himself at first. There was a lot to take in at the moment, and Tugoro wanted to make sure he got everything done. He would have to get rid of the fighters, and survey the perimeter at the same time. [member="Camellia Swift"] had put him in charge, and he surely did not want to let her down. "I'll keep fighters off you," he would conclude, nodding his head solemnly. The squadron of fighters ahead would continue to advance on the Jedi's position, as his own super fighter's speed propelled him through the dark vacuum of space. Closing his eyes, the youth would begin to breathe in, focusing his body and mind, letting them drift away in the force's current. All tension and uncertainty that Tugoro had possessed previously was gone, overcome by confidence bestowed upon him through the force. The incredible maneuverability of the Aleph would prove itself as Tugoro pulled and twisted the controls, causing the sleek fighter to rotate and dodge around the enemy's fire, as if it were spinning around the inside of a tunnel.

Instead of engaging the fighters and striking at them, the boy would push forward on his controls at the last second, causing his craft to lower into a ninety degree angle nosedive. Several fighters in the front of the squadron would continue on their path, probably shocked by the display of recklessness. The others guarding the back would most likely break off, eager to chase down the Republic dog that had dared to embarrass them. Tugoro planned to have every single fighter on his tail, hoping that it would give the other Wraiths enough time to get their jobs done.
