Dev Thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/40901-designing-a-wrath
Affiliation: One Sith
Manufacturer: Krayt Industries
Model: KI-X03 Wrath
Modularity: None
Production: Mass-production
Materials: Mullimine, duranium, transparisteel
Classification: Elite Starfighter
Length: 18 meters
Height: 8 meters
Width (with wingspan): 4 meters
Armament:
Two nose mounted heavy laser cannons
Four smaller laser cannons evenly spaced along the wings
Two torpedo launchers (one on each tip of a wing, six torpedo magazine)
Front edge of wings have a mullimine blade edge for a last ditch ramming attack
Squadron Count: Twelve fighters
Maneuverability Rating: 3
Speed Rating: 3 (1,500 km/h in atmosphere)
Hyperdrive: Class 1
Strengths:
Fast, agile fighter with plenty of weapons
Weaknesses:
Armoring is not the strongest, meaning the ship will be destroyed by one or two good shots from an enemy
Communications array is weaker than normal, only allowing squadron communications and with the local garrison forces/nearby fleet
Description:
The Wrath-class Starfighter is designed to both be an improvement and alternative to the Blade Starfighter, also developed by Krayt Industries. The Wrath is based upon the design of the Fury-class Starfighter from the first incarnation of the One Sith under Darth Krayt, but a fourth engine was added to allow the engines to be even spaced on either side of the cockpit.
Both wings sport a mullimine edge, similar to the Blade, which is tapered down to the torpedo launcher on each wing, with reinforced duranium to allow the ship to better survive a ramming. Other armaments the fighter boasts are two nose-mounted heavy laser cannons, four smaller laser cannons spaced evenly along the wings, and one torpedo launcher at each wing tip. Each launcher has a magazine of six torpedoes that are stored in a shielded compartment within the wing that feeds directly into the launcher.
The cockpit is reinforced with shock-absorbers and dampeners to lessen the reverberations from a ramming, if the ship survives. Standard shields and life support systems are in place, with an ionized solar reactor providing power to all systems. The fighter's communications array is weaker than normal, only allowing squadron communications and transmissions from local garrison forces or the fighter's home fleet. To send longer range transmissions, the fighter requires a signal booster. The ship's armoring is also not as strong, only surviving a few laser blasts if the shields fail.
