- Concealed - The design is that of a full cuff style bracelet which can be painted, topically altered with affixed gems or other pieces to make the concealed blaster seem innocuous.
- Targeting Laser - The built in targeting laser assists the wielder by providing a point of reference for their aim when the blaster port is open.
- Rechargeable - The weapon does not need additional power cells in lieu of using the Diatium power cell and having a built in governor to allow for constant energy recycling.
- When the weapon system is not active, the blaster port is covered and the power cell continues to recharge the coils.
- By way of dual trigger cables, typically inlaid into a glove or set into another piece of attached jewelry, the blaster port opens and firing mechanism becomes active when the wrist is rotated forward and down out of the firing path.
- The most common setup for these cables is to have the activation trigger placed around the index finder, while the firing cable is worked with another cable connected to the thumb.
- Alternate setups require minimal alteration, typically adding or removing a pinned cable, as some optional setup styles are built in to allow the most suitable preference.
- Sneaky - Given that the whole design is centered around a seemingly innocuous bracelet, at the very least the first shot will catch most anyone off guard.
- Decent Punch - Comparable to a standard blaster pistol in a much smaller package.
- Light - Using lightweight materials, and limiting the built in systems, a small weapons package with incredibly light weight was achieved.
- Limited Rate of Fire - To avoid overheating and potentially cooking the user's wrist and/or hand, a governor was put into place to remove the chance of such an incident.
- Shot Your Shot - If haste takes precedence in a firefight, the recharge time of the wrist blaster after successive discharge will bite the wielder in a pinch situation.
- Close Range - This weapon is not going to be sniping across the battlefield, nor across anything more than a parking block.
Developed as a sneaky backup weapon, the wrist blaster is designed to be incognito. While for the most part, it can pass as a high end watch or piece of jewelry, to the discerning eye it will likely come under scrutiny. The design is ergonomic, meant to move with the flow of the body, all the while only keying to particular motions designated by the user. A connection can be made using the guide rings of the trigger cables to complete a circuit of the firing sequence, or simply kept at sharp movements of the wrist and fingers.
Customization was paramount in the design, and keeping the components of the wrist blaster as small as possible required sacrifices in shot capacity and range. Even with these caveats, the output remained comparable to a standard blaster pistol thanks to the upgraded power cell. While some individuals may not enjoy the governor in place to limit the magazine, with careful reconstruction, the governor can be removed at the severe risk of heat issues without countermeasures to both the persons skin, and the device.
While the field testing of this device was somewhat limited, it was able to be tested by different organizations within the Agents of Chaos to best test its durability, and flexibility.
