- Multi purpose scope - The gun is equipped with a hybrid scope the main part of it is a x4 scope that has the option for night vision, On the top is a x2 Holographic sight while on the side at an angle is a normal holographic sight.
- Bi pod - Adds stability when placed on a surface.
- Side Grip - Allows the user to better handle the heavy weapon.
- Fast fire rate - The X-15A Duel Heavy Rifle hurls shots at a fast rate of fire. This was done at the sacrifice of range making this weapon good for mid to short ranges on the battlefield.
- Two round types - The weapon can shoot Particle beam energy from its top barrel while the lower barrel can shoot out Ion. Making this weapon good against opponents that use shields or rely a lot on electronics. It also offers some benefit against vehicles when targeting repulsor or engine parts.
- Heavy - The weapon is rather weighty meaning that it can slow the user down some.
- High Recoil - When not on the Bi pod the user is recommended to make use of the side grip and fire medium bursts due to the amount of recoil the weapon has. While a bi-pod can help stability the backwards recoil is still strong but allows the user to more accurately shoot for a full clip with minimal relining.
- Double the Power cells - With the two fire types it means the weapon has to be loaded with two Power cells for each barrel. One pack for each side.
The X-15A Duel Heavy Rifle was designed for its uses against enemies on the field that make use of shield technology. Due to the burden of having to carry a second weapon or dedicate a team just for dealing with personal shield or shield generators the R&D at Moonvails Mega Factory decided to combine both into one weapon. Admittedly it came out heavier than expected with the amount of components being used and the fact that there was no way around having to use two different types of power cells. Due to the weight and recoil the weapon was outfitted with both a bipod and a side grip to better manage the weapon on the battlefield. Though it does not negate either it certainly helps. Another issue that the weapon came into was choosing fire rate or range. With a vote it came close to sacrifice the range as dealing with a shield user faster is more beneficial for ones self and allies on the field.
