- The Stryder's Electrotendrils function much like low-end Force Pikes - they are able to stun or kill and their vibro-edged tips are well-suited for exploiting gaps in armour or even outright penetrating light armour plating; the tendrils are not lightsaber resistant, however. Thanks to a bit of clever engineering, they double as slicing tools, though they lack the capacity to brute force advanced systems.
- Stryders are outfitted with rocket boosters that allow them to boost their jumps, briefly fly, and be airdropped into battle.
- Murderous Agility: Fast, agile, and unburdened by fear or trembling hands, Stryders are capable of remarkable lethality when used wisely.
- Perfectly Expendable: While hardly as cheap as, say, B1s, Stryders are cheaper/less controversially expendable than organic soldiers.
- Compactly Durable: Stryders can function in virtually any environment and can fold themselves into a ball for compact storage.
- Electronic: Above-average resistance notwithstanding, even low-yield EMP/Ion weapons are able to weaken Stryders.
- Simplistic: Built for killing, keeping watch, and not much else, Stryders have very few uses outside combat scenarios.
Inhuman fast, eerily accurate, and utterly inexorable, Globex's Stryders are a specialised tool of warfare, dedicated solely to the completion of their objectives within acceptable parameters. Outside any ethical restrictions, no hint of mercy or hesitation can be found. Basing themselves heavily on designs acquired from TriTech, the Robotics Division nonetheless made certain improvements, notably in armaments and miniaturisation.
Their ability to fold themselves into ultra-compact spheres for storage and transportation proving to be a significant advantage, Stryders are often deployed from cramped gunships or kept in purpose-built storage compartments; ships or facilities designed to rely on them for security may include "Stryder Shafts", purpose-built tunnels through which the droids blast away using their boosters, swiftly reinforcing any vulnerable positions.
*As is Globex's modus operandi, these droids can freely be manufactured by external parties in exchange for a per-droid licensing fee.
