Commodore Helix
Disintegrations done dirt cheap.
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Designed as a longer range but somewhat less-destructive alternative to the Beacon, the "Cumulus" rocket is another weapon designed to dig out the hardiest of targets.
Essentially a hollow rocket containing a tiny conventional explosive charge within a sizeable payload, the Cumulus is nothing more than a delivery system for horror and panic. Containing white phosphorus munitions, Helix also added in some of the radioactive incendiary fuel mix used in the Beacon to create so-called "Blue Phosphorus".
The resultant explosion subjects everything within a small (approximately 20 meter) kill radius to temperatures in excess of 1700 degrees Celsius, enough to cause flesh (and many metals) to run like water. Outside this radius, third or even fourth-degree burns are likely, as the brilliant blue flames can rapidly eat down to the bone, and usually don't stop there. Vehicles can be damaged as well as the chemical chews through metal as eagerly as meat, though some more resilient materials, such as Phrik or Beskar, can resist this long enough for their wearers to escape the radius. As with the Beacon, anything unfortunate enough to survive this will frequently develop serious health complications both from the intense radiation/toxicity, and equally intense heat of the blast, unless it is well shielded against both thermal and radiation weaponry.
A cruel weapon even for Helix, and frequently deemed overkill against most targets, these rockets are a somewhat uncommon sight, being brought out when Helix needs to render terrain uninhabitable at longer ranges than a flamethrower will allow. When they are deployed, it is typically in large barrages to attempt to compensate for their relatively small kill radius.

- Model: X44 "Cumulus" Blue Phosphorus Missile
- Modularity: No
- Production: Limited
- Material: Durasteel, rocket components, inactive white phosphorus, "Beacon" mixture
- Classification: Missile
- Size: Average
- Weight: Average
- Explosive Type: Incendiary, Chemical, Radiotoxic
- Delivery Method: Self-Propelled
- Effective Range: Long
- Area Of Effect: Personal
- Damage Output: Very High
- Profoundly toxic and radioactive internal mixture
- Burns at high temperatures
- Hard Rain: The Cumulus rocket is a delivery system for the same pernicious chemical mix as the Beacon flamethrower, but mixed with white phosphorus. As such, it can be fired into a bunker or room to hastily slay or eject the inhabitants, or at a vehicle to severely degrade most metal hulls and damage instruments.
- Destroyer: As the weapon can wreak horrendous havoc on the surrounding environment, it is unsuited for use in areas the user wishes to occupy or repopulate with organic troops.
