and her wife Ishana, Xarielle spent the early part of her childhood in the political heart of the Sith Empire. The second of five children, Xarielle is younger than her sister
Xariah Pavanos
by two minutes. Fascinated with the History of the Force and its practitioners, Xarielle from an early age found herself studying in Sith Libraries and Temples. When the family later relocated to Ishana's homeworld of Balmorra, Xarielle did what she could to study Jedi teachings. Often surrounded by the renewed and lush Balmorran coastlines or rolling hills. She preferred the quiet while reading or studying, however; this did not stop her parents from teaching both her and her sister how to defend themselves, and more importantly. How to make use of their abilities.
Kaalia wanted to ensure that Xarielle and Xariah could use their abilities, but she also wanted them to make their own choices. Ishana taught the girls the art of brawling, making use of improvised weapons, and of course how to pilot just about anything. They were also taught how to use a blaster, grenades, and other combat techniques. All of this is somewhere between school, recitals, games, and family dinners. The family was often emphasized, both the Voldarens and Pavanos lived together on large estates, each family sets having their own housing and gardens.
All in all, Xarielle had a happy childhood and a stable home. If anything was wrong neither she nor her sister noticed. Her mother's role as Darth Avacyn did little to impact her, something Kaalia went to great lengths to ensure. Something else that Kaalia imparted was defiance, to resist, to challenge the status quo. Stick to your guts and do what you feel is right and stand by your beliefs. As Xarielle turned seventeen and was ready to embark on her own journey in the galaxy, it would be this piece of advice that she would hold onto most. Feeling that everyone should have the right to choose their fate for themselves, for better or worse.
