OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The Yōsei Operating System 2.10.09 is a primary software and operating system that powers the digital minds of the Yōsei. The development of fully organic digital minds initially began as an independent project, which was soon directly integrated into the research and development of the Yōsei. As such, the software was developed concurrently with the organic hardware it was intended to support. Unfortunately, the development of the software was plagued with budgeting issues and failures to meet specified deadlines. However, when Chora Asichi took over as the lead director of the project, a breakthrough was made under her management which led to the first successful implementation of the software in the digital mind of a Yōsei subject. A year later, development on the final version of the software was completed just before the Yōsei entered limited production and sale.
Intent: To create the primary operating system for the Yōsei organic quantum computerized mind.

The Yōsei OS 2.10.09 is a black box software. The operation is instinctual to the end user (Yōsei). No research or information on the software exists in the public sector.
Data (memories) is stored in a decentralized file system beneath several layers of redundancies and encryption protocols. All forms of data are extremely difficult, if not impossible to delete from the system.
Software can perceive and project wireless transmissions from up to 500 miles away with maximum resources dedicated to the task. Under standard conditions, the software can perceive and project transmissions that are a little over 100 miles away. All transmissions are encrypted by default. With certain programs, the software can also “piggyback” off of more powerful transmission devices/frequencies to extend this range. It is theoretically possible for the software to transmit messages across the galaxy, provided the transmission device that supports it has the necessary range to do so.
System can run various types of compatible programs, including select HoloNet browsers, virtual reality inducers, simulations, video players, and more.
Software can maintain efficient operation even when subject to damage. Moreover, it has the ability to adapt to damage or changes in hardware and self-heal to an extent.
Software can wirelessly connect with many types of neural interface devices. This allows the end user to establish a direct connection with the host hardware, thereby eliminating input lag and drastically reducing reaction time.
Fully Organic: The Yōsei OS is a specialized software designed to work in fully organic hardware (the brain of a Yōsei). As such, along with the hardware it is intended to work with, it is incredibly resistant to ionite or EMP pulses.
Software Compatibility Issues: The end users of the software may encounter issues in interacting with programs that are not designed to function with organic hardware. To remedy this, Biogenesis Laboratories installed a number of compatibility patches and auto-configuration systems, which are intended to automatically or manually correct compatibility issues. However, these two solutions are not all-encompassing and the software may still face issues with running more obscure programs which were originally intended to be run on non-organic hardware.
Hardware Exclusivity: The operating system is designed only to be hosted in the mind of a Yōsei. As such, it does not work when installed in any other host platforms, such as droids, starships, computers, and other non-Yōsei systems. However, the software can interface with foreign hardware and run many types of programs originating from non-organic and non-Yōsei sources.
