Family and Honor: Raised into the Chikafusa Clan, Yamada has a strong sense of family and honor. Duty to the Atrisian people, his clan, his heritage, but still bound to the strong desire to do justice as a noble warrior.
Naval Mastery: Being the heir of the Clan, he was trained since his youth in different fields to serve the clan. One of his specialities is the command of naval vessels, space tactics and warfare, and still, he is no stranger to starfighter piloting and tactics that make him be quite versatil in space.
Knight Samurai: The Chikafusa Clan comes from ancient times when the Atrisian Empire support centuries ago the then Galactic Empire. With the inclusion of the NIO into the GA, the Damyio was sent to the Imperial Knights in order to be trained in the ways of the Force at the service of his clan and the NIO.

Pragmatic: His time with the Imperial Knights was devoted to the use of the Force in things he already knows and how to increase his own skills in the fields taught within the Chikafusa clan. Eventhough he is potentially able to use the Force to greater levels, he doesn't have the time to it.
Conflict of Interest: The service to his Clan goes above everything, this causes a great conflict of interest since his Clan is devoted to the restoration of the Atrisian Empire and that is why he serves The Kiliea Command Forces. This even goes above his service to the NIO and the Imperial Knights along with the support the NIO provides to the GA.
