Tall, pale, and red headed, Yekaterina is often considered a beauty, albeit a harsh one. She is tall and athletic with shoulder length hair and a well toned build. By Neznakomtsyan standards, she is only slightly taller than the average womens' height, meaning that she's approximately the same height as the average human male.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Chestolyubiye, one of the moons of the Rayskikh mirov system, to Aleksei and Lizaveta Zolnerowich she was practically raised her entire life in the military. Both of her parents were commissioned officers in the Rayskikh mirov system military and, while Yekaterina was not left with family or under state care, she was brought on stations and bases to live with her parents as she grew up. Within this atmosphere, Yekaterina - called "Kat" or the dimunitive "Katyusha" by her parents and family friends - reached adulthood and, when she was of age, she joined the military as well.
Despite her parents' efforts to steer her towards a more prestigious and potentially safer occupation within the armed forces, Yekaterina opted for infantry training to lead the footsoldiers of the system, much as her father and grandfather had done. She passed her training with flying colors and was assigned to her first duty station on Okhranyayemyy where she made up the officer cadre of one of the rifleman units there. After a year or two of service, she was shifted to Khaos to lead the security detachment within one of the bases there. Later, she was promoted and placed on Putanitsa to maintain planetary security.
It was during a routine patrol there that the system was rediscovered by the galaxy as a whole. Raiders and slavers appeared in system and attacked. The fleet was scrambled and quickly wiped the hostile ships out, but not before small bands of raiders made it onto Putanitsa. Zolnerowich quickly rallied her patrol and engaged a force far larger than hers with only the small arms they had with them.
The fight dragged on for over an hour, but in the end she and her troops fought, held, and ultimately crippled a force almost five times their size with only a few injuries. In light of her prowess and combat ability along with her aggressiveness and ability to adapt to the changing battlefield, she was promoted to Kapitan and decorated for her service.
Currently, she is waiting reassignment to a command of her own in lieu of the recent reconnection with the rest of the galaxy.
