TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Artifact
  • Size: Handheld
  • Length: 2cm
  • Width: 3cm
  • Height: 7cm
  • Weight: Heavier than it should be.
CONTENTS
  • At its heart the artifact does one thing- assisting with the corruption of living and non-living tissue by proximity.
  • Its origins allows it to influence the Tsil.
Strengths:
  • It corrupts.
  • It is for the most part indestructible.
  • It's influence is insidious and difficult to spot.
Weaknesses:
  • It cannot function without someone channeling it.
  • It can only be used in short periods and successions. Too much and it might shatter.
  • A Force-Null field such as one projected by an ysalamir or Voidstone will either make the crystal inert or weaken it the closer it gets.
  • Prolonged exposure to Force Light or other strong Lightside powers will shatter it as well.
  • The artifact cannot be bolstered by Force powers like Taint or other trinkets that increase corruption. In fact, the various residual energies would interfere with one another and slow down the efforts substantially.

DESCRIPTION
One cannot always be nearby a potent nexus of the Darkside or have their forge with them.

But this limits the amount of experimentation one could accomplish in the field and it is for this reason that Cerbera created the Yemidan. A small hand-sized crystal usually worn around her neck the artifact was made for one purpose: to assist with the creation of Sithspawn. When Cerbera channels the Force through it the artifact its insidious effect becomes pronounced, it begins to radiate an aura of corruption and decay - similar to what one could accomplish from utilizing the Dark Forge to corrupt and create monsters of the Darkside.

Of course its effect is limited by time and effort.

Whereas the Dark Forge needs little in the way of channeling and can be used indefinitely the Yemidan is smaller in scope. It can only be used for a short period of time, before it needs to 'recharge', otherwise it might shatter under the pressure. Furthermore the corrupting effect of the Yemidan only functions when its creator, Cerbera, focuses the Force through it and thereby 'activates' the artifact's function.

The Yemidan was created from a shard of a corrupted Guardian Tsil. It still retains some of the Guardian's influence, allowing the wielder to wield that influence against smaller Tsil.

Say you have a trinket that helps you corrupt items. Then you have taint, a force power that can be used to corrupt and taint items. Then you have this artifact that also corrupts items.

Does this effect stack, IE corrupt more on top of the other items if used at the same time?
