  • Able to be purchased as a full body modification or in individual pieces:
    • Torso Plating
    • Arm Plating
    • Leg Plating
    • Crotch Plating
    • Neck Plating
    • Hand Plating
    • Foot Plating
    • Head Plating
    • Hair Implantation
  • Microscopically porous, allowing the skin underneath to breath as it would ordinarily.
  • Nerve relays ensure maximum wearer comfort, rendering body plating indistinguishable from real skin to the wearer.
  • Modularly designed plate anchors enable Fukashi doctors to easily remove, add or replace body plating to the customer.
  • Temperature control modulators keep YK body plating at the same temperature as the biological skin of the wearer.
  • Grips built into the wearer's hand and feet plates make sure that they can still grab, hold and maintain their balance as well as they normally could.
  • Micro LEDs built into the top layer of the armor allow the wearer to choose the color of their skin, or simply replicate their own with pinpoint accuracy. No one will know you have body plating with this.

  • Flexible: With each plate connected to the other by sold polynoreltin joints and the armor composites themselves being interlaced with the light, flexible material. Yoroi-Kikō Body Plating retains the agility and stretchiness of the original biological skin. Ensuring that the wearer is not inconvenienced or restricted in their movements anymore than they would be normally.
  • Blaster Resistant: Imagine your very skin was capable of receiving direct blaster shots? Well with YK Body Plating that concept is no longer imprisoned in the realm of imagination alone. Protected by an outer layer of mixed duraplate-plastifold composite armor, anything from blaster pistols to even blaster rifles (At a distance) will be unable to damage the wearer. Although the stopping power of these weapons is still capable of knocking the wearer to the ground.
  • Artificial Superiority: Lacking any of the natural ills that plague biological skin, YK Body Plating largely protects the wearer from the most mundane inconveniences such as sunburn all the way to flesh-eating bacteria, toxic or acidic materials and contagious physically-spread viruses. Fukashi recommends wearers cover their eyes, mouth, ears and other non YK-covered openings however.
  • Kinetic Resistant: Watch in awe as a blunt weapon snaps after it has been used against you, or as a vibroblade crumples after a would-be assailant has attempted to stab you. Both of these things and more become a reality with Yoroi-Kikō Body Plates. Made from duraplate-plastifold composite armor, the same kind used in heavy armor during the Galactic War, most kinetic weapons will have a tough time getting through your superhuman skin.
  • Camouflage Capable: Utilizing the Yoroi-Kikō's in-built micro lights, not only can the wearer change their skin color at a whim, or replicate their own skin in-order to hide their body plating. But wearers can with some tech expertise develop their own prints to be used, some of these can include camouflage patterns, which could in theory allow them to use their body plating as a ghillie suit of some kind. Of course this would mean the wearer would have to be 'naked' in-order for it to work.

  • Maintenance: In some ways like biological skin, Yoroi-Kikō Body Plates do require infrequent maintenance by their owner. Fukashi-brand body-plate chemical preservers and protection coating can be purchased to wipe down one's skin, Fukashi Electric recommends that everyday users clean their body plating once per month. While users whom expect to see a lot of 'use' (IE damage inflicted) out of their body plates are recommended to clean it once every two weeks and to check up with their nearest Fukashi doctors to ensure the armor's integrity is not compromised.
  • L.E.D. Vulnerable: Although the armor itself is not vulnerable to electromagnetic pulses or any other kind of anti-electronic weaponry or devices as it holds not electronic components. The micro LED light system which covers the top layer of the armor and which is responsible for enabling the user to hide their armor and make it appear to be their ordinary biological skin is vulnerable. In the event of an EMP, these lights will no longer function and the user's body plating will become viewable. Or their camouflage will fail.

Yoroi-Kikō Body Plates, commonly referred to as YK Body Plates, or simply as body plating is a series of dermal body modification armor developed and manufactured by Fukashi Electric, a subsidiary of GalactiCom. The end result of dozens of implantable body armor designs previously designed and released by the company, but which were all separate and unrelated pieces of armor. The idea to create a single related series of individual but connected pieces of dermal body plating came about in 855ABY and the first prototype of the full body of armor was presented by the team who worked on it to the Fukashi board meeting four years later. Released to the civilian market in 861ABY, Yoroi-Kikō body plating is popular among those in hazardous occupations both ordinary and combated related, extreme sports and simply as a fashion or wealth statement.

Implanted by specialized Fukashi professionals in any one of corporation's many cybernetics facilities across the galaxy, YK body plates work by layering extremely thin but incredibly densely packed layers of armor over and then anchoring them into the wearer's skin. In cases where mulitple body plates are installed, joints will be inserted into strategic locations where the typical flexible movement of muscles is ordinarily conducted to ensure that the user is not restricted in their movement. While a series of nerve relays within the armor connect to the wearer's neural and nerve networks via the anchors in-order for all sensations to be transmitted from the body plates to the user's brain. Allowing them to feel the same sensations they would feel as if the body plating was their original skin, including pain, although pain dampeners can be purchased for YK body plates, enabling the user to switch their ability to feel pain on or off.
