+Naturally dexterous with incredible reflexes.
+Skilled combatant. Having learned several styles of martial arts, Yoru prefers to keep things intimate with his opponents. He's an all-arounder with a keen mind for fighting. Exceptionally skilled with a knife. He's a slow starter and needs a warmup or something similar in nature to reach his peak in a fistfight.
+Gunslinging. With his dexterity and reflexes, handling small firearms came naturally to Yoru. He's quick on the draw and accurate under pressure. Yet, despite this, he's an unremarkable marksman at range.
+He's a bit lucky.
-Volatile temperament. While normally aloof and rather easygoing, Yoru's mood balances on a sensitive switch. He is very prone to spontaneous outbursts that range from mild tantrums to fits of blind rage.
-Personal vendetta. Possessed by the single-minded obsession to kill his former teacher and only father figure, Yoru won't let anything get in the way of his revenge and will go to any length to see it through.
-Emotionally vulnerable. The betrayal he suffered left more than physical scars. Deep down, Yoru seeks approval from a mentor-like figure, and to gain that approval, he will find himself bending his morals to please whoever is in that position. These people easily sway him.
-Paranoid. Constantly thinks that people he cozies up to will eventually betray him. Makes it hard to form deep relationships and keeps people at an emotional arms-length.
-Smoking. A habit picked up from a former crewmate. To the outsider, he appears to be a helpless addict, but as is the manner for these things, there's much to uncover.
BIOGRAPHY
Born to nothing, to parents he never knew, Yoru's survival was a miracle. He was taken in by slavers and raised to be an expendable laborer. Thieving and lying to survive each day became second nature to an adolescent Yoru, but one day he met his match in the freelancer Van Vasteel, who saw potential in Yoru and took him under his wing. Over the years, the two amassed a crew and became a successful group of drifting mercenaries, selling their services to the highest bidder while also carrying out plans of their own. Their endeavors naturally earned them all hefty bounties.
Yoru's life of merry spacefaring came to an abrupt end as the same man that plucked him from a life of slavery turned on him and his crew, claiming all but Yoru's bounties and disappearing into the far reaches of the galaxy with his small fortune. Having amassed a wealth of skills, Yoru set off on his own path for the first time. He seeks neither justice nor answers. The only thing that will sate his thirst for revenge is blood.
