"We will meet again." Darth Veles said and turned around, going back to the Temple the same way he had gotten there. He knew exactly what to take and do. Not even looking at the guards, the Mon Calamari strode past them and moved straight to his temporary quarters where he took off his casual clothing, orderly placing everything onto the bed, and removed the cybernetic eye again, connecting the large orb to his datapad that lied on his tunic. Transferring the blueprints into the personal device, he checked if they could be opened in the datapad and upon finding they truly could, he sent everything to [member="Darth Banshee"] over the HoloNet, though not before scannig it with a security program.
He wished his favorite student to have access to everything he had gathered on the rogue group of Jedi in case he would not come back. Just to make sure she understood him, he also wrote a short message explaining where he went and asked her not to after him, as he was more than capable of rescuing himself if necessary. With that done, the amphibian placed both eye and datapad on the bed next to him and knelt down on the metal floor, devoting several minutes to a quiet meditation.
He realized what he intended to do was incredibly risky, suicidal even. But did he have a choice? His apprentice suffered at hands of his foes and he believed it to be his duty to attempt to rescue her, to prove he was worthy of the fresh title of a Sith Master. The large amber eye closed, letting the amphibian meditate in peace, surrounded by the Dark Side that radiated from the planet.
"Powerful Dark Side, patron of Sith, executioner's blade, righteous vengeance,
Open to the heart of thy warrior messenger, grant power to thy servant.
Me, thy faithful follower, recall.
Provide my strike with thy destructive might.
Blood and nerve from my foes' sinews, yield.
Guide the tip of my blade, my target - slay."
By no means had Veles considered himself to be religious, quite the opposite. Religion was for fools. The impending danger simply caused him to do the insane, pray to the Dark Side for more power than he ever possessed. His body remained motionless, though he could feel the energy pouring in, corrupting his soul and granting him incredible power in return. Finally allowing the Dark Side to fully flow in his veins, the Mon Calamari assassin remained in this state for dozens of minutes as time lost all importance in that moment. It felt so intimate, like embracing a long lost lover, the Dark Side's intoxicating influence whispering promises of power into his ear. For the first time in his life, Veles listened.
One last exhale and it ended. When his eye opened again, it appeared much yellowish tone than the usual orange. Getting up from his kneeling position, the Sith Master reattached the cybernetic eye and moved to get dressed, not into his Sith robes though, equipping the Imperial armor instead, including the helmed shaped specifically for his large domed head. After being fully dressed, he simply took the belt and attached it around his waist. It included a medpac and twin lightsabers. Satisfied, Veles put on the cloak out of Terentatek hide and went to the armory as well, having some special items in mind.
As expected, the large room contained every weapon he could ever imagine. Rifles hung on the walls, pistols rested in cases, there were even several boxes in the back that hid explosives. Veles did not go that far though, he stopped soon after walking through the door and immediately moved to his left; melee weapons. Webbed hands lovingly ran over the sharp blades before he picked two small daggers and planted one into each boot. As if he was about to turn around, his eyes caught a glimpse of a very small, razor sharp blade. Taking it, he cut through thy synthflesh covering his cybernetic hand and inserted it in. Then he slowly backed out of the room filled with weapons and went to the exit, his armored boots clicking on the ground.
Once outside, he slowly descended the stairs and looked behind, the yellow colored eyes watching the Temple. It was time to meet [member="Xander Carrick"].
