You Are Who You Hang Out With

Seth Huze

Wolfboy Extraordinaire Tresure Hunter
The things Seth did for credits ranged anywhere from treasure hunting to smuggling, he was never one for flying ship's seeing how all the buttons looked the same to the teen. Of course he learned a bit about a ship's inner mechanics to help smugglers keep their ship running. He sighed as he stretched his arms. He was on Tatooine, the heat was almost unbearable to the teen, he was glad he left his wolf back on Alderaan with his family.

The teen unbuttoned his white collared shirt. It was way too hot. Sweat dropped off the Wolf-boy's forehead, he instantly wiped it off as he continued throughout the market. Walking by a vendor, the teen would snatch a fruit from the cart. He ignored the man that began yelling and continued to make his way to some cantina. Apparently someone needed help on a job. He walked into said cantina with a sigh of relief. It was a bit cooler in the building than outside. Seth instantly smiled. There were many shady people in the cantina not necessarily Seth's type of people.

As Seth made his way to an empty booth, he realised how out of place he looked. People were starting to give him dirty looks. The teen was far from scared, he practiced a lot in fighting hand to hand, he found it a better alternative to using a blaster. He took a seat and waited.

[member="Myles Vylumnar"]

"Hey, you." called out a voice from the corner of the bar.

"Button up your shirt man, have some decency. No one wants to see your tits." said a young man as he took a shot. By the looks of it, he was somewhere near Seth's age. His clothing and equipment gave off the impression that he was some sort of bounty hunter or scoundrel. Bad business either way. He stood up from his seat, walking over to the wolf-boy.

"You lost? Yeah, you look lost. You're lost, aren't you?" he said with a sort of bubbly, stoic-ish tone. The guy's voice was obviously not that of an experienced veteran, but a young thrill-seeker who had the freedom to do what he wanted. The man leaned his arm on the bar table, facing the wolf-boy with a snicker. It seemed like he was slightly genuinely concerned, but also making fun of the half-dressed teen at the same time.

A voice called to him and the teen instantly looked it was owned by someone who wasn't much older than the Wolfboy. The first thing the man said was to button up his shirt followed by an insult. Seth tilted his head and flashed a smile as he looked the scoundrel over.

"Umm I just spent the day out in the blazing sun...Plus I think a few people love to see my Tits" he'd say with a chuckle. The teen called the bartender over and asked for a glass of water. He turned back to the stranger.

The man asked if he was lost...A couple of times. Seth wasn't lost, but now that he thought about it, he didn't know much about Tatooine. The Wolfboy began to sip his water. He cleared his throat as he looked at the pilot. He hadn't really paid much attention to details so he wouldn't understand that the scoundrel was teasing him.

"Lost...Yup, I'm just a lost boy..." He would say as he ran his hand through his hair, something he did often... Sort of a habit.

"The question is...Why do you care Scaver?" He'd ask with a out of character stern tone.

[member="Myles Vylumnar"]

sorry bout the short post

"Scaver... huh. That's a new one." he said. Initially, Myles was slightly taken back by the wolf-boy's tone, but he forgot about it within seconds as he downed another shot... He didn't usually drink, so it was sort of out of character for him. Drinking often turned him into a completely different person... A person he didn't like.

"Well... I don't. You just don't look like the type who belongs here, so I was just gonna warn you about the kind of place you're in..." he'd trail off. Taking a closer look at the place, one might notice the kinds of people that hung out there. These were not your run of the mill lowborns; These were thugs, criminals, murderers, and all kinds of unspeakables. These were the sort of cutthroats that'd kill their own family for a quick credit... Not that Myles was that type. In fact, the only thing Myles was interested in doing was ridding the entire room of deplorables.

"I think you'd better think twice about the kind of tone you use to talk to people... Especially in these parts." he would say in a non-threatening manner. It would come off more as a warning than a threat, but one might take it either way.

Seth began to sip at his water as [member="Myles Vylumnar"] spoke about how scaver was a title he hadn't heard before. The truth was... Seth had never really been good at reading people often going by his keen sense of smell. He couldn't get a good reading on the man near him but it was obvious that he wasn't like most of the people in the cantina.

Seth smiled as the man said he didn't care that Seth was lost, just that Seth didn't look like he was the type to be in a rundown cantina. Seth smiled, it was true he was just tired of being in the heat. The water helped him cool off. he drank until the glass was half full. The man spoke about how Seth had better watch his tone when talking to people especially around 'these parts' what were those parts Seth would wonder. The teen stifled a laugh as he poke about how he should watch his tone, was that supposed to be a threat or was it a friendly warning.

Seth shrugged it off, he had been in enough trouble to know how to handle himself. He had gotten real good at fighting people in hand to hand combat. He had been in many fights with his brother...never won, but still put up a good fight.

"Does the flawless hair and the nice body give me away?...Ya I'm not the type to be here, it's just that the heat was starting to get to me. don't worry about me having to hold my own, those scumbags wouldn't stand a chance against me." Seth would say. He then flexed and shot the man a grin.

"The force is with be broski." He laughed as he wiped the wrink;es out of his shirt.

"Heh, don't flatter yourself, guy. I don't roll like that." he'd scoff. Myles slammed down his shot glass. Around them, a rather mean-looking brute with a scarred face started giving the two the eye. Myles would notice such, his eyes trading looks with the brute before keeping back to himself. It was as if this meant something, but [member="Seth Huze"] probably wouldn't understand.

"Yeah, well, let's hope you don't get ripped to shreds in half a second." he'd say after hearing Seth talk about being able to hold his own in a fight. That didn't really matter in a place where people didn't give a second thought about blasting someone through the eye from across the room. Myles cleared his throat.

"So... The heat, huh? Yeah, I'm not buying it. Why are you here?" he asked. It was clear that Myles realized that Seth came from off-world. Though not a local himself, Myles grew accustomed to life on Tatooine when he was younger. At this point, his new acquaintance was the only interesting thing going on at the moment, so he figured he'd at least make conversation until his contact arrived. Little did he know, his contact got caught by some Tuskan Raiders and eaten over a spitroast. Go figure.

Seth laughed, most people didn't roll the way that's why Seth liked both guys and girl...he figured more options right. Seth never let it affect his friendships with people. Seth watched as [member="Myles Vylumnar"] looked at a man with scars. He had no clue why the scary looking man was keeping his eyes on them but if the teen kept his cool, so would Seth.

"Don't worry, you like who you like dude."

The man next to Seth gave a comment about how he'd hope Seth wouldn't get torn to shreds in a moment. Seth dint understand and would give a coy look. Myles switched topics rather quickly. He asked why Seth was really on Tatooine. Seth would continue to give a coy look hoping he could get away with being optimistic any longer.

Seth sighed as he spun his glass. The wolfboy looked down at the bar then to the teen. He wasn't one for admitting he needed a steady job. He was getting tired of getting just enough credits to get by. Tired of never having a steady group of friends.

"Guess you caught me...I'm actually looking for long term employment..." Seth would say as he put his hands up in mock defeat/

Myles raised a brow at the guy's comment. Employment? It reminded Myles of himself in a way; Always looking for another job, to get paid... To make his mark. As soon as [member="Seth Huze"] mentioned he was looking for a job, quite a few people in the cantina turned their heads around to mad-dog him, even the bartender. While most of the place kept about it's business, it'd be enough to at least intimidate Seth. Myles had noticed this as well. He looked around and almost began to feel nervous, but he kept his cool.

"Employment, huh? What sort of employment...?" he'd ask slowly. Initially, Myles was surprised by Seth's sudden change of mood. Throughout their whole conversation, it almost seemed like this guy could be optimistic about anything.

Myles fidgeted in his seat, itching to put a hand on his gun. He knew it was almost time to leave, but his contact still hadn't shown up...

Seth began to feel tension grow around him. He attempted to keep up his happy go lucky attitude up yet failed miserably everyone was staring at the duo. A wave of nervousness washed over the teen. Myles began to speak oh so slowly asking what kind of employment Seth was looking for.

Seth scratched his head. He hadn't really thought of what kind of job he was looking for. He sipped at his water again. "I'm looking for a group to call home, I've been low on funds...and while I don't actually care about having credits I kind of need them to survive. plus I'm lacking friends at the moment." Seth would say as he finished off his water.

He would run his hands through his hair one more time before adding "I know a bit about how to make a ship run as well as a bit of piloting...though I'm not the best. And as I have said before, I know how to fight pretty well."

[member="Myles Vylumnar"]

While some of the cantina eventually lost interest, others simply chuckled to themselves after hearing [member="Seth Huze"]'s mention of having no real friends.

"... You want a job? Come with me." he'd say. Myles stood from his seat, walking out the cantina. The scarred man from earlier watched them with intent as the two left and turned a corner. The heat outside would be burning, yet normal for Tatooine. The town bustled with markets and civilians. Off in the distance would be moisture farmers while the two suns floated above behind them.

"If you're looking for a job in a place like this I'm guessing you're willing to get your hands dirty..." he said. Myles leaned his back against the wall of the cantina. His ship would be visible just outside the town; A medium freighter, not much in looks but its performance was rather surprising. Other than that, the atmosphere was unusually quiet...

Seth Huze

Seth looked up at [member="Myles Vylumnar"] with a hopeful look, the wolfboy could scarcely believe it. Seth stood up from his seat and began to follow Myles out of the cantina. As soon as they neared the door, a wave of heat would instantly hit them Seth groaned. He hated the heat he began to flap his shirt seeing if he could get some cooler air on him yet to no avail.

They exited and the sound of the bustling market was heard instantly. He watched as Myles leaned up against a wall, Seth couldn't help but think of the guys from the holoflicks who tried to act cool by leaning against a wall. All the teen needed was a toothpick or a cigarette. The older teen noted that the were on Tatooine so Seth was likely willing to get his hands dirty.

Seth would sigh. It had gotten to that point. He would give a grin along with a stale chuckle. "As long as I'm not killing someone I know...or killing without a purpose I would be willing to do most anything." Seth would say as he crossed his arms behind his head.

"Okay... good. I guess you'll have no problem with Tusken Raiders, then. There's a nearby encampment that's been terrorizing this town and passing travelers. The people are starting to get restless, and the mayor won't do shite. That's where we come in." he said. To [member="Seth Huze"]'s surprise, the job would actually seem quite... decent. Despite Myles' scruffy look and all-around bad-boy vibes, his objectives were just. He didn't seem like the type to really help people if ever.

"I had a contact that was supposed to help me with this, but they haven't shown up... So it's your lucky day. Name's Myles, by the way. Just Myles."

He reached his hand out to shake, seeming a lot friendlier from when they first encountered just a minute ago. Suddenly, the two would be interrupted by a loud bang! A hulking figure lumbered through the cantina doors... It was the same man from earlier giving the two kids the stink-eye. Behind him followed two other figures- Though muscular, not as big as the 6'10 beast. They turned to look at Myles and Seth with a dastardly look in their eyes.

The big guy furrowed his eyebrows, looking between the two. Eventually, his eyes would set on Seth. He growled as an angry and sinister look drew across his face...

Seth Huze

Seth listened quietly as the one who referred to himself as Myles spoke. He said that Seth would have no problem handling the Tusken Raiders that have been terrorizing the town. the young wolfboy nodded. he wasn't very familiar with the Tusken Raiders, but he knew that they were pretty aggressive. Seth smiled, the all around sketchy look of the older boy was obviously mistaken. He seemed to have a caring heart underneath all that bad-boy attitude.

Seth would nod to [member="Myles Vylumnar"]. "No problem at all, I hope your contact is alright..." Seth would pause as Myles said his name and stuck out his hand. Seth would reach out and accept the handshake. "My name is Seth Huze...most people call me Seth..." The wolf-boy's voice trailed off as the scarred man exited the cantina. Following him were two other mean looking people. Seth was short compared to the near seven foot tall monster in front of him.

The beast was quiet, his Gaze directly at Seth. Seth would clear his throat. The tension that was in the bar escalated into a harsh pressure. Seth felt sweat drip off his forehead. He would stare down the behemoth and slowly slip off his unbuttoned shirt. He would toss it to the side before looking back to the scarfaced man.

"You've obviously been staring me down since I entered that Cantina...got a problem? cuz I'm sure we can solve it right now." Seth said as he continued to stare down the man. He began to stretch his arms out and shake out his hands,

"Put... Shirt... On... Pretty-boy." growled the man. The gang started to approach the two kids. While they didn't seem armed, they still looked dangerous. They stomped forward, only seeming to be annoyed at [member="Seth Huze"]'s comments.

"We don' like you, nones'a yous, huh huh..." said one of the smaller men. Their voices seemed both drunk and stupid, a deadly combination. Before anyone could say anything more, a blaster bolt suddenly flew out of nowhere, hitting the smaller guy in front of Seth right in the dome. He stood for a moment, eyes wide. Eventually, his body would collapse as a hole burned between his eyes.

"RRRAAA!!!"

The hulk charged forward, bashing Seth aside. The blow would have surely knocked the wind out of him as Seth would be flung onto the dirt. As Myles began backing up, he fired his gun at the beat-man. Two bolts struck his chest, which he shrugged off and only seemed to anger him even more. He fired a couple more shots, this time at the smaller thug beside him, who fell to the ground after a couple bolts pierced his stomach and groin. However, it wasn't enough to stop the drug-fueled, crazed maniac. He bashed Myles with his forearm, sending him flying against the wall of the cantina. The wall behind him cracked as he slid to the ground.

His K-16 Bryar pistol was knocked out of his hand, sliding over to just in Seth's reach...

Telling Seth to put a shirt on, who did this guy thing he was? Seth continued to stare down the three. One of the man's goons said that they don't like either of the two. Seth tilted his head, they sounded drunk. This is why Seth hated going to cantinas.

"I don't take orders from drunken brutes." He barely had time to finish his sentence. A bolt from a blaster hit one of the thugs right between the eyes. He fell to the ground. Seth sat there wide eyed for a second before he was bulled over and thrown to the ground. He let out a groan as he hit the sand.

Myles was able to take down the other thug before being smashed into the cantina's wall. The elder teen's blaster was flung in Seth's direction. Seth scrambled to get it and as soon as he felt the grip, he stood up. He would then aim to the thug's torso. Seth fired a couple bolts hoping to get the man's attention.

"Hey spicehead!" Seth said as he fired a few more bolts.

[member="Myles Vylumnar"]

The blaster fire coming from [member="Seth Huze"] was just enough to get the beast's attention. He growled, veering his ugly head as he began stomping toward Seth. Once Myles regained his senses, he unsheathed his vibroknife. Scrambling to his feet, he jumped up onto the back and shoulders of their giant assailant, sending multiple stabs to his shoulder and collar. The giant bellowed and groaned in pain, grabbing Myles by the back and pulling him off. Before he could be thrown over, Myles jammed his vibroknife into the giant's throat. It resulted in Myles falling to the ground and the beast just barely balancing on his feet.

For a brief moment, things were quiet in the arid desert as villagers watched the ensuing fight. Myles propped himself up on his arms and knees. Before he knew it, a giant body began leaning towards him. He scrambled forward, trying to escape being crushed. As the large corpse fell, the knife was pushed through his skull, blood and brain splattering into the sand.

*CRACK!*

"Gaaahh!!" cried Myles. His left leg got caught under the giant, a painful-sounding crunch followed by a scream of pain...

Seth watched as the boots from the blaster hit the man, it seemed to annoy him and the big man turned. Seth watched as Myles took out a vibroknife. The older teen would jump on the behemoth's back and proceed to stab the giant in the shoulder and neck. Myles was nearly thrown down, but he stabbed the man in the neck one last time before he fell to the ground. The man seemed to have withstanded the attack but only for a second. Because a second later the man fell.

Seth watched as Myles tried to scramble away from the beast, he almost got away from the man but his leg was caught. A crunch would be heard. Followed by the scream echoing from Myles mouth.

Seth instantly ran towards the older teen. Crouching down he would look to the teen.

"Myles, you okay?" He would ask as he grabbed Myles by the collar of his jacket. He would then start to pull him out from under the man.

[member="Myles Vylumnar"]

"Agh- Dammit! Of course I'm not karking okay!"

Myles winced and grabbed his leg as he was pulled out from under the heavy thug, grabbing his leg in agony. While it didn't seem completely broken, it was probably fractured. After a couple failed attempts to stand, it was clear that the teen would not be able to walk or even get up on his legs properly... That'd be a huge problem.

"Chit... I- You're gonna have to drag me... Landspeeder's just by the ship." he'd say, pulling his knife out from under the corpse's skull. Myles pointed in the direction of his ship: The Stargazer. While she wasn't quite the beaut, she was a hard-wired and functional machine. She could reach decent speeds and left nothing in the way of defense. Almost like a pack mule with strong legs; She could take a beating and dish one out.

Myles held his hand out to [member="Seth Huze"], grabbing onto his own leg.

Seth Huze

Wolfboy Extraordinaire Tresure Hunter
Seth jumped back as he heard [member="Myles Vylumnar"]'s tone, It was Seth's fault for asking a stupid question. Seth didn't let it get to him though, He showed a nervous smile when Myles told Seth to drag him to the speeder next to his ship.

Seth tucked Myles' blaster into his belt. He then looked at the teen's outreached hand.

Seth grabbed it. "Might want to keep pressure off that leg for now." Without warning Seth would pull Myles up and bring his arm over his shoulder.

He looked to Myles and laughed, dragging him across the hot sand to his speeder wasn't going to happen, that sand was way too hot.

The wolfboy would then begin to walk with Myles in the direction of his speeder.

"Cute" Seth would comment about the elder teen's ship. It was meant to be a compliment but the way Seth said it made it seem sarcastic.

The duo would reach the pilot's speeder, the ship casted a shadow over it. It truly was nice.

Myles grumbled to himself, thinking [member="Seth Huze"]'s comment was meant to be derogatory. He pushed it aside for now, having confidence in his ship and his own skills as a pilot. He grunted slightly as he was picked up and brought over to his ship. As the pair reached his V1-L1 Landspeeder, Myles managed to free himself of Seth's hold and supported himself against the speeder. He reached into the rear cargo trunk, pulling out an old spare pipe from a gang of others which looked like spare parts for repairing the ship. He'd also pull out an old seatbelt which was torn from the seat, using the two objects to create a makeshift splint around his left leg. It'd have to do for now.

Myles hopped into the driver's seat, revving up the low-tech speeder's engines.

"I'll take my gun back after we're done, by the way. Doesn't look like you came prepared yourself..." he'd say as he drove the speeder off into the desert.
