Kira Vaal
D E S T I N E D
Shortly after the Underground briefing...
“I need to pay the tab.”
“What?” The round face of Nawha popped up from behind the bar with a sense of urgency. “You’re leaving?” The small creature was around and stood by Kira in a flash, small hands wiping grime from each of it’s long spindly fingers as it gazed up at her with big eyes. “This is not expected, I was promised a longer stay.”
“Things came up.” Kira sighed as she gave a thought to the plans that had just been put out in front of her and the rest of the Underground. It was more then simple ‘things’. “I have to get off world sooner rather then later, so I figured I’d be honest and throw you the creds for the tab.”
Nawha’s head shook violently. “No it is too soon. It is too soon.” While the conversation was clearly with Kira the topic of the small creature’s words were clearly not for her, instead big eyes focused on the blank space to Kira’s left. “You said we had time, more then enough time. She is not ready for this.”
“Um, ready for what exactly?” Kira said with a reproachful look on her face. “I’ve been flying around this galaxy for longer then you think…” A long finger was risen towards Kira silencing her briefly.
“If now is the time then now is the time.” Newha took her hand. “Come and be casual.”
“Be casual?”
“Best not to attract eyes that aren’t meant for looking.”
