Your Hair's as red as my Flames (Ventasia)

Lexa stood behind the man, just a few inches from him. He had attempted to jump her and run. He had no idea that she was onto him. She lit a flame on one of her fingers. Very discreetly, she lit his clothes on fire, When the man screamed, she acted as surprised as everyone else. As they gathered around him, she slipped away. Correlia was most active at this time of day. It was easy to lose yourself in the crowd.

Boring. Extremely boring. That was the only way to describe how her days were becoming. Thing were simply too quiet for her liking, especially on Corerelia. Ventasia loved her home, but was beginning to enjoy being there less and less. She contemplated her options for entertainment as she strolled through the crowded streets, arms crossed and eyes gazing at the ground. It wasn't like she had many choices. After all, she had to somewhat behave while she was in Protectorate territory, considering she'd become decently well known. Though, on this day, her eyes caught sight of something she'd never seen before.

As her feet shuffled along the streets, her head rose just in time to see a male seemingly burst into flames. People quickly gathered around the man, attempting to douse the fire that engulfed his body. It was what you'd expect to see at such a scene; panic, disarray, confusion. But one thing made this moment different, something she nearly missed. From the corner of her eye, she could see a woman subtly, yet quickly distancing herself from the scene. Ventasia didn't find such a thing odd as much as she found it interesting. "Now, why would someone try to escape such a scene, while everyone else attempts to help?..", she muttered to herself. She glanced once more towards the flaming male before stepping off, following in the same path the woman had taken. "Well, maybe things will get interesting..." Her lips curled into a coy grin as she tailed the woman, keeping her distance just enough to not seem suspicious.

Lexa made her way down a series of alleyways, making sure none of the civilians were following her. As she weaved her way through the twisted back lanes of the city, she could sense someone following her. Someone who was in touch with the Force. She rounded the corner. When the person behind her would round the corner, they would find that Lexa had vanished.....

Her footsteps light as to not draw attention, she continued on behind the girl. While Ventasia couldn't put her finger on it, something was different about this girl And she was eager to find out who she was. Her head tilted sideways as she saw her target duck off into an alleyway. But she had no intention of letting the girl escape. She turned down the same alley, only to just catch a glance of the girl head down a different alley. I feel like this is gonna get old, very quickly..., she thought to herself as her pace quickened to catch up. Ventasia would continue down the alleys, ducking in and out of each one she saw the girl head down. Finally, as she rounded a corner, her feet came to a sudden halt. There were two alleyways that went in separate directions, yet no sign of which one the girl took.

Her eyes danced back and forth from one alley to the other as she thought to herself. The way she'd seemingly disappeared was far too convenient. She hadn't been that far behind, so there was no way for the girl to put that much distance without her noticing. Something just wasn't right. She's gone? No, not gone. She's here. But where?...

When Lexa's stalker showed herself, Lexa jumped down from the fire escape of the building directly behind the woman. " Is there a reason why you're following me?" She asked cautiously, her lightsaber on her side if needed.

A slight sigh escaped her lips as she stood there, pondering the options the woman would've had. Which were few and none. Before she could come to grips on which move to make for herself, she could sense something approaching. Though it wasn't from a conventional direction.

Her suspicions were confirmed as she heard a pair of feet suddenly make contact with the ground behind her. Well, that makes a bit more sense. Ventasia turned her head slightly, just enough to see the woman from the corner of her eye. For a few moments, she simply stood there, staring eye to eye with her. To most, this would seem like a tense moment, but that wasn't the case at least not to her. A coy grin came over her lips as she let out a slight chuckle, her eyes never leaving those of the woman behind her. "After that little show, I hardly think your in any position to be asking questions or demanding answers. What do you think?" She had to get her to talk, or make a move. One couldn't stay ahead of another without someone making the first move.

Lexa looked at her suspiciously. "What are you talking about?" She had been extremely subtle with the man. Only someone with extremely acute senses could've seen her. Force senses........

Check. Having gotten the girl's attention with such a simple line, the chances she would try and do Ventasia harm were considerably lower. A sight chuckle escaped her person as she turned fully about to face the woman, still wearing the same grin. She simply stood there, eyeing examining the girl once again. "You should take the time to see who's around you before you set someone ablaze. Or am I still not ringing any bells?" She sighed lightly as she began to methodically pace around the woman in circles. She had her attention. She had her mind. Now, she only needed to figure out exactly what she was thinking. "Not only that, but your pretty brazen. Doing such a thing in broad daylight. Or did you simply think of this on a whim?"

Lexa eyed the woman as she walked around her. "I don't tolerate those who do me wrong," She replied. She used the Force to cloud her mind, making sure that this women didn't try anything funny...

Her feet came to a stop as she rounded behind her, a small sigh escaping her lips. "Do you wrong? Aren't you the one who's going around lighting people on fire? Which, while it is a neat trick, is a nice way to draw attention to yourself. Now, wouldn't you agree?"

Honestly, Ventasia didn't know if the girl was simply trying to play dumb, or actually thought that she had gone unseen.

Lexa smirked. "I only do it when they deserve to burn. And besides, I knew that the others would not suspect me. They don't have the ability, you see. They aren't trained in the Force. Not like you and me..." Lexa turned and faced the woman. "Only someone who felt the Force could've seen my actions and actually come after me. Am I wrong?" She cocked a brow.

A simple shake of her head was the initial response as she listened to the girl. It was always interesting to see someone who believed that the force was a be all end all. But one could not completely rely on the force alone. After all, in the long run, that would handicap someone. No, the best idea was always to use the force amplify one's own abilities. A lesson that this girl hadn't learned yet, obviously. "I didn't use the force or any special tricks. Anyone with a keen eye and half-decent deductive reasoning would have believed you had something to do with that. Hell, you'd have have looked less obvious if you ran away screaming. But you didn't. Instead, all you did was make yourself a suspect."

Lexa narrowed her eyes. "Are you going to try and turn me in to the authorities? Or are you going to be even more blunt and take justice into your own hands? Either way, I won't come quietly." She warned. This woman could not be trusted, of that Lexa was certain. She could sense deception around her even now.

She scoffed at the mere thought of what the girl said. "Justice? Authorities? Please. I have absolutely no interest in such a thing. After all, it's not as if I care anything for that man. Or even know him for that matter. I simply found the situation...interesting." Ventasia laughed at the thought that she would turn anyone in. After some of the things she'd done in her past, trying to bring anyone to 'justice' would be incredibly hypocritical of her. "But you know, I probably saved you from dealing with questioning. So you can at least tell me who you are, and what your doing here."

Lexa relaxed slightly. "My name is Lexa. My business here is no real business at all. I'm here because I'm here. End of story." She shrugged at the end of her sentence. It was true. She only came here because it was where the cargo shuttle from Bespin had taken her. she had only been on Bespin because that's were the cargo shuttle from Coruscant had taken her. That was her usual means of transportation, seeing as how she couldn't afford a ship.

She blinked a few times, looking the girl over as they stood before one another. Things were beginning to get much more clear now. "Lexa, huh? Hmm...you wouldn't happen to be a runaway, would you? You know, from the jedi. Maybe you stowed away on cargo ships to get from there to here undetected? Stop me when I'm finally wrong."

Of course, she knew better. Ventasia was aware that the girl was more than likely running from the Jedi. For what reason, she would of course find out in time. But for now, that simply wasn't important. What did interest her, was who had influence over the girl. It was unlikely that she simply up and left on her own, as Ventasia had done. Someone had talked the girl into leaving, but who? And for what reason?

Lexa shook her head. "I never was a jedi. But I'm not a sith, either. I don't follow either of their codes, or their morals. My path is my own." She looked at the woman. Perhaps that was not what she was expecting.
