Anyone who has been following the Council thread on the open boards will have seen this coming, but if you haven’t had a chance to read it then here’s the executive summary…
In a story arc, the Jedi Order have take the loss of so many Republic planets to heart. They aren’t going into hiding, but they’re licking their wounds and re-grouping.
The Jedi Order still supports the Republic but will discuss with the Prime Minister its role going forward — and highlight some changes to policy that have disturbed the Jedi of late — for example the shoot on sight to kill policy.
So expect some great storylines over the coming few months.
What you will also see is The Jedi Order as a Minor Faction. This has also been discussed OOC with the Council. We’ll maintain a nominal presence here — most Jedi will most definitely want to continue to interact with the Republic — but the day to day Jedi matters will be carried out on the Minor Faction site — which can be found here.
So, if you’re a Jedi of The Jedi Order, head over there and sign-up. You don’t need to leave the Republic or change any tags. We’ll be transitioning some threads over there in the coming days — although the pages you’d expect to see are already there.
So this is most definitely not a good-bye to the Republic. But instead of living in the spare room, we’ve moved in next door.
