Yuuzhan Vong and the Techno Union

We shouldn't split our attention. We have a more immediate threat. Keep an eye on them, sure, but we don't need to move against them until either they've proved themselves a threat (rather than an irritant) or we've finished off our current prey.

...I mean...concluded the interesting storyline with the Rebels!

...Yeah. That's what I meant.

Tsavong brought up something interesting that I hadn't considered until now. It has been eight centuries since the Yuuzhan Vong first invaded the galaxy. A mere one hundred years from first contact, they were working with technological societies in order to rebuild the damage they caused.

To be frank, if we hadn't been killing them consistently, we might have had an interesting little ally there on Rodia. Even now, though, we can make this work if we want to give it a shot. As long as we don't harm our diplomatic relations with the new Vong faction any more, they could be a serious asset and ally if we work together.

Or at least a very dangerous buffer between us and those who actually have cause to be our enemies.

Could even be waved off that the Vong uprising on Rodia was an older generation who was resistent to change, any change, and even saw the uprising at the Core as a new generation to be purged.

Different ways to be diplomatic if that's the way we want to go. Overall though, I agree with Char. Keep an eye on them, but don't mobilise (at least until we crush the Rebellion and leave them scurrying back into the corners of the galaxy from which they crept).

...I think I went a bit Tarkin there... oops.

Corey's OOC

And where were the spiders
My one thought is that the Vong are doing their best to tear apart another corporation, and there will always be the extremists, ones that follow the old ways and hate technology.

Speaking from my POV, and not for the Union, because we have people here who have opinions and I want the free-flow share of opinions.

They're terrifying space savages who are Luddites.

If Titan wants to move here, we let Titan move here.

What we don't allow is them to set up any Yuuzhan-Vong settlements. Those need to be dispersed throughout Techno Union space. If the Vong are as pleasant as [member="Charlotte"] says, they'll have no problems integrating into other societies and living among them rather than separately.

Whatever Yuuzhan-Vong biotechnology Titan wants to manufacture, they do so at closely monitored, pre-approved locations.

I am completely anti-Vong by all means, technology and otherwise.

Which is probably why alot of what I try to come up with - targets whatever weakness I see or read of. *shrugs* I am updating the product catalog to include Technology that somehow was...missing.

http://starwarsrp.net/topic/24972-espada-class-stealth-transport- An example (Joint and noted, regardless still listed in product catalog before I took it down when the Drunkenwell incident occurred.)

I was going to come in here and clarify something like "I didn't say friendlly, just that we shouldn't create enemies by assuming people are our enemies before they reveal their intentions."

Then I saw a Vong in a suit.

If I was more awake I'd know how to react to this.
