A cheap and dirty blaster pistol popular with criminals for its affordability and impressive rate of fire. Arakyd marketed the Z-14’s as discrete and rapid firepower for bodyguards and other security personnel for its ability to be hidden under a suit jacket in a shoulder rig before deploying to fend off threats. Naturally every pirate, gangster, and 2-bit thug immediately saw the possibilities offered by such a weapon and almost overnight the design lost any pretense at being made for respectable means thanks to a series of high profile murders.
The Z-14 features two firing modes, full auto and a 3-round burst that helps to extend the life of the smaller power packs that come as standard on these pistols. Part of why they’re so inexpensive, the rechargeable blaster packs only last for a dozen or so seconds under sustained auto fire. Using the burst fire in conjunction with the stock and foregrip, the recoil is much more manageable and accuracy improves.
