Zakaria is a beast of a man, standing tall above most others around him with piercing dark eyes and equally dark hair. Size and muscular figure aside, he has a well-groomed moustache and adorned with battle scars from across his military career from his service in the Sith Empire's Imperial Legion and throughout his career within the New Imperial Order. The most notable of his scars was obtained when he was pierced through the upper chest near his shoulder with a spear created via Darkshear after he had disarmed a Sith of their lightsaber during Operation Kyber Dark.

Zakaria is a man of pride and conviction who is also filled with remorse for his past actions. During his time as a soldier of the Sith Empire, Zakaria was drilled into the belief that those who opposed the Sith were mere beasts to be tamed, and if they were to rise up and defy the Emperor they were meant to be put down. While he always disapproved of their methods and orders, there was nothing to be done as he was a mere soldier following orders.
During the time of the split within the Sith Empire, Zakaria chose to follow Irveric Tavlar, both because he believed in what the Imperator was creating and because it was his opportunity to make up for the atrocities he committed as a Sith Imperial Legionnaire. Since then Zakaria has proven to be a loyal supporter of the New Imperial Order, making his way through the ranks to become a charismatic leader to his troops, and to be the shield that defended against the Sith threat within the galaxy to atone.
Zakaria, like many other higher-ranked commanders of the New Imperial Order prefers to take to the front lines, leading by example as the first to charge into battle and fight alongside his men. Zakaria is a seasoned veteran of the battlefield, adept in both the use of weaponry and hand to hand combat. His ability to command the battlefield after numerous engagements has improved and given the opportunity of being promoted above his current station at the time of defection and service within the New Imperial Order has resulted in him making great strides. He is a competent leader and an admirable soldier that many look up to.

Zakaria's time within the elite Imperial Legionnaire ranks has given him an extensive edge as far as military training goes. This combined with many campaigns and operations he has participated in has only honed his combat ability, compounded on top of his already impressive natural strength and aptitude. Each engagement has only added to his skill and understanding of the battlefield, improving his ability to lead and command alongside the troops that entrust their safety to him.

Zakaria's weakness when it comes to being a general is his concern and empathy for those caught in the crossfire. More often times than not he will divert resources and personnel to the defense of those unable to escape from the combat zone, thus more often than not putting him in perilous positions when it comes to the larger scale of the battle.

Zakaria's presence and command are reassuring to those who serve under him. He is a steadfast leader who never loses his cool, nor does he flinch in the face of overwhelming odds. He holds his ground even if he must be the first to engage the enemy. Though he does not bear the presence of a Jedi or Sith leading their troops, his charisma and presence as a Non-Force Sensitive are just as impressive.

Zakaria's skill is in the here and now, rather than looking at the greater picture. This is one of his shortcomings as a General, only able to view things from what is present in front of him and focused on the enemy he can see rather than the threats that loom in the shadows.
