• Slide Switch: The lightsaber's hilt has a slide switch instead of the traditional activation stud. The slide switch allows for the blade to be drawn out more quickly, with just a glance from her thumb.
• Modified Pressure Grip: The modified grip has two functions. The first, the grip is form fitted to her hands, making it rest naturally and comfortably in her palm. The second is the pressure grip itself, which allows for the blade to automatically shut off when the pressure upon the grip is released.
• Deflection Emitter: The emitter allows for the blade to easily deflect incoming blast bolts.
• Enhanced Discharge Energy Cell: The enhancement of the cell allows for double the output of powerful attacks than the original style of the discharged energy cell.
• Modified Adegan Lens: The Adegan lens already provides the lightsaber to be much more powerful, however, now with a modification to the lens, the plasma blade also runs much hotter and stronger, allowing for the blade to cut through most materials easier, and has a minimal effect against it from cortois.
• Ghostfire Crystal: When added to the hilt of her lightsaber, the blade possesses a translucent, dim like appearance making it difficult for others to detect, which also produced no sound from the blade. As a bonus, the blade carried an illusionary effect of afterimages from the blade through motions by her, the wielder, and thus, it also disguised the true position of the blade, thus adding further confusion and disorientation to her opponents.
• Shien Reverse Grip: The customized grip allows her to utilize her fighting style, Form V, in a more efficiency way since she holds her hilt in a reverse style.
• Modified Blade Emitter: There is a small, flat switch that lays plush against the hilt. Once the switch is activated, the plasma blade no longer holds its beam form but instead becomes a whip; as in a lightwhip. However, in this form, the whip has struggles deflecting blast bolts.

• Illusionary Blade: With the addition of the Ghostfire crystal, the blade is hard for her opponents to not only see the blade, track the blade, but to determine the location of the blade is at all times.
• Hot Plasma: The blade of the lightsaber runs hotter than traditional style blades, thus adding to the blade's cutting power and strength.

• Overheating: With the modified Adegan lens, the blade has a potential to overheat and flickering in and out due to the heat output caused by the lens.
• Transformation: When the beam transforms to the whip form, the plasma from the whip is weakened for two reasons. The first reason is that it cannot, in theory, deflect blaster bolts. The second, the blade is no longer a solid beam but coiled plasma and thus, it loses it strength to compensate for the flexibility of the plasma whip. It is uncertain why this occurs.

Having no knowledge of lightsaber construction, Zanami needed to be resourceful in her quest to fabricate a weapon that was befitting to her and the style she employed. Because she utilized an unorthodox style of holding her hilt, she needed to find an accessory to accommodate that, along with what other information she could obtain; and so, she began her quest by hacking into one of the Sith Temple's computers.

She spent hours scanning through the several blueprints and designs of a lightsaber, taking note on what she wanted and what she did not require from the several items of information at her disposal. As she moved along in her pursuits, she began to understand that this lightsaber was going to require some modifications, and she was going to need to seek out someone to assist her. The only roadblock she foresaw now was obtaining a crystal to utilize in her forthcoming weapon, for the one she grew fond of was located in the Outer Rims, with no specific planet attached to the description of the crystal.

So, first, having everything she needed at her disposal from what the Temple offered up, she went to one of the Sith scientists to pick their brains about modifying the four components. After speaking with the scientist, he was able to help her. So, whilst he went to work on adding the modifications to the lightsaber components, she left Jutrand in pursuit of her crystal.

On her search, she visited the planets of Bith, Elrood, Tantra, and Dagobah. It was there, on Dagobah, that she found the crystal she was looking for. However, the crystal clusters were close to what she could only decipher as a makeshift village in habited by a species, Daemonium, she had never seen before. Waiting until nightfall, she snuck through the swampy waters and vine-like foliage's as quietly as possible toward her prize. The beasts, she referred to them as, where much taller and bigger than she was, and they owned the numbers game, so she couldn't afford to get drawn into a fight she could not possibly win, so stealth would need to rule the night.

Unfortunately, the young Sithspawn was not the only predator out that night. As she slowly moved toward the crystal formations, another predator was stalking her, a Dragonsnake. Just as she plucked a crystal from the cluster, the mighty beast roared as it crashed upward from beneath the surface of the water; its jaws poised to eat the young girl. The disturbance by the mighty beast echoed through the swampy forest, alerting the Daemonium, who saw the beast as a threat to their village; and not yet seeing the girl who the beast was interested in eating. Slowly the mighty creatures moved to engage the lone dragonsnake, who now decided that it was outnumbered, and thus, retreated back into the muddy waters rather than fight for its meal. With the collected attention on the fleeing predator, Zanami snuck quickly through the near abandoned village back to her waiting ship; and upon arriving, departed back to Jutrand.

When she arrived, having already set the crystal to align with her on the return trip home, the scientist had completed the agreed upon modifications, explaining what he did and how the modifications would work, and gladly handed them back to Zanami. With everything she needed placed on a workbench, Zanami began to meticulously construct the hilt of her future lightsaber, and using caution, set the crystal firmly in its housing, completing the process.
