PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Zanesa is a woman of short and slim build with copper skin, bright green eyes, and dark, shoulder length hair usually tied up in a braid or bun. With her antennapalps retracted she can pass for a human, but generally prefers to have them out on display.
As an SIA agent Zanesa's wardrobe can vary wildly from a standard DipServ suit to elaborate dresses to grimy streetwear, whatever is needed to blend in with her surroundings.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Zanesa is a woman of principles and drive who believes in doing the right thing, if not necessarily in the 'right' way. She combines elements of a rough upbringing, a fine education, and a strong sense of empathy to great effect in her work. This gives her a natural talent for people, not just reading and understanding them but playing to them as well, what motivates them or keeps them up at night. And, despite her generally pleasant demeanor, she can be quite cool and calculating when the situation calls for it. However, she has yet to be properly tested in the field, and while she isn't naive about the demands sometimes placed on SIA operatives, nobody really knows what they'll do when the chips are down and blasters are drawn until the moment arrives.
STRENGTHS
- Balosar Blood: Zanesa's retractable antennapalps grant an almost Force-esque sensitivity to sound, emotion, and movement around her, as well as having a natural resistance to toxins.
- The Negotiator: Zanesa is an natural in all the important DipServ fields, social observation, situational analysis, political communication, xenolinguistics, and especially deception.
- Durasteely Disposition: While not exactly a seasoned spy, Zanesa has been evaluated as a highly motivated with remarkable mental fortitude and a knack for remaining calm under pressure.
WEAKNESSES
- Training Day: Zanesa is a young SIA agent who's career so far, while successful, hasn't been too noteworthy either, leaving her at the bottom of the proverbial pyramid.
- Charmer, Not Harmer: Zanesa's skills are best suited to social situations, she's only partially trained for direct, combative field work and lacks and physical advantages in a fight.
- Don't Blink at the Abyss: Zanesa has remained relatively untested so far in her career, there's no telling what might happen when she's forced to make her first truly difficult call
HISTORY
Zanesa was to escape the pollution and rampant crime of Balosar, only to wind up becoming factory workers in Balmorra, which was only a slight improvement in both regards. Still, Mr. and Mrs. Losar worked themselves to the bone to give their daughter the opportunity for a better life, and little Zanesa refused to waste it.
Zanesa spent her childhood dodging street gangs and excelling in school, eventually earning a full ride to Balmorra Academy where she specialized in xenolinguistics and political science. At first Zanesa took a position with the local Balmorran diplomatic corps, but as the state of the galaxy got darker she began looking for a better way to utilize her skills.
Eventually she transfered up from local planetary service to the Galactic Alliance level, joining the Strategic Intelligence Agency as a junior agent. From there, she was assigned to the Diplomatic Services division, and has been working her way up through training and trials to become a fully fledged field agent.
SKILLS AND POWERS
Zanesa has been broadly trained in many of the basics of SIA field work including stealth, disguise, slicing, mechanics, markswomanship, and hand-to-hand combat. But her speciality is social interaction, Zanesa has a talent for reading people and using that information to manipulate them. She can maintain a cover with the best of them, and that's before taking into account the extra information she can glean from her antennapalps (which can also retract to help her pass for human). She is also a remarkable polyglot, able to speak a broad range of languages at near-native level.
