- Non-Lethal: Zappy can be used as an alternative to the Chill-Out Rifle, as it fires off a non-lethal shock to disable organic and droids that are not EMP/electrical resistant
- Easy to reload: With each shot being charged by a separate power cell, it is easy to reload the Zappy and with handy dandy colour association, it's easy to see which cells are empty and which aren't!
- Sneaky Weapon: Zappy was designed around being able to be concealed, focusing on a smaller profile for the weapon alongside making sure that the noise from firing it wouldn't be too loud.
- Sneaky but useless: Whilst concealed, Zappy is more than likely unloaded, as the power cells used to fire the taser add a bit more bulk and size to the profile, possibly making it harder to keep hidden.
- No range: As it is designed as a very, very close ranged weapon, Zappy isn't suited to being used in long ranged firefights. It is best used as an ambush weapon at close range.
- "Gimme a second to fire again!": The Zappy requires the mechanism at the back of the weapon to be pulled back with every shot, meaning that the fire rate is quite poor most of the time.
Some rebellion work is meant to be stealthy at the end of the day right? Super secret agent work, dealing with the shadows which meant having stealthy and quiet weapons! That is why Kiwa came up with the idea of the Zappy! A simple hand-held stun gun with enough kick to knock out a wookie! At least, that's how she was advertising it. If it could actually take out a wookie, she didn't know. She hadn't even came across a Wookie in person.
Either way, making the stun gun was much easier than the rest of her weapons she'd find. Of course, there was a fair amount of recoil for such a smaller thing but what did you expect where you were firing off quite powerful blasts of electricity? Plus if you were using it the way it was intended, you shouldn't have to worry about the amount of recoil anyway! If it was used as intended, you'd just have to sneak up on your taget, pull out the Zappy, load it and fire away! Hm...Perhaps Kiwa would be able to build a longer ranged version of the stun gun, but for now the TAC would have to use the hand-held version taht she had made.
