Carrier Ren in a photoshoot made in an attempt to get her featured in Knights of Ren recruiting materials

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To provide an antagonist in naval combat operations by planting false intelligence
  • Role: She is someone that causes headaches to light-siders' naval planning
  • Links: N/A
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 31
  • Force Sensitivity: Knight-level (dark-side)
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: Due to the corruption of the dark side, she has amber eyes; also she wears some Chalactan-style black circular tattoos on her face's centerline and also near her eyes. She wears some black armorweave robes with some stripes cut into them to facilitate her ability to let off bodily heat or sweat thanks to the requirements of her fast metabolism, which makes it difficult for her to keep weight on, as well as bracers to protect her vulnerable wrists. She stands at an unremarkable 1.70m, and otherwise has a rather plain silhouette for her size, at 60 kg.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Publicly: Zathura Novala, also known as Carrier Ren, Naval Scarecrow (but uses a lot of different fake names in missions, or in documents she plants, including, but not limited to, Knights of Ren, FOSB or First Order naval personnel)
  • Loyalties: Independent (but will lean towards Imperial factions, especially the First Order)
  • Wealth: About 50,000 credits
  • Notable Possessions: A red lightsaber, a set of black robes
  • Skills:
    Lightsaber forms:
    Shien (Acolyte-level)
  • Juyo (Knight-level)

[*]Force-powers:
  • Force-lightning (Knight-level)
  • Telekinesis (Knight-level)
  • Force-sense (Knight-level)
  • Force-speed/jump (Acolyte-level)
  • Force-cloak (Acolyte-level)
  • Pyrokinesis (Acolyte-level)
  • Drain Knowledge (Acolyte-level)
  • Mind trick (Knight-level)
  • Force-horror (Knight-level)
  • Precognition (Knight-level)
  • Instinctive Astrogation (Knight-level)

[*]Personality: Should anybody meet with her face-to-face and the topic of naval warfare is approached, she will show her obsession with carrier tactics, and how to make sneaky use of escorts in naval engagements, including but not limited to, microjumps, EWAR and ELINT. Also included in her usual topics related to naval warfare, is the design of carriers and attack craft as required to make the best use of carrier tactics, as well as her support for dual-role carriers and how should one go about designing dual-role carriers. She seemed to have a grandiose opinion of herself as far as carrier tactics are concerned, but whether that is substantiated remains to be seen. Outside of a naval warfare context, she tries to maintain a dignified appearance, and is deeply loyal to the First Order and its allies while, at the same time, keeping to herself and toiling in obscurity, often unseen by her targets or their allies. However, when she is caught in anger, she can enter a near-feral state which can be a daunting force multiplier in battle but can be a liability if she gets angry where stealth is of the essence. Also, she makes regular uses of false identities in missions. In missions she believes in law and order but she prefers it to be enforced with controlled applications of force: sometimes it's easier to hold people in check by being ruthless but discreet than to be mindlessly brutal.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Red lightsaber and the Force
  • Combat Function: She would be mostly good at close-quarters, thanks to her use of Juyo and Shien to a lesser extent; however, when faced with mentalists, she can also attempt using Force-horror against them so that she can stick in enemies' minds. Her reliance on agility can be a strength when there is some room for maneuvering, even limited, but when pinned down against stronger or numerous enemies, she becomes a liability and her bones can easily break in this situation.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Born to a family of naval officers in Finalizer City, Zathura was, as a child, known for her mischievous behavior, using her intellect to pull pranks and deceive other people as a con artist; because of this, she attracted attention in a lot of different ways. However, it was found that she was quickly embroiled into the dynamics of gang warfare, where she was mostly used for stealth missions by her gang, and yet she was somehow caught by the local police, alongside the rest of her gang, as well as a rival gang, while attempting to make arson to a rival gang's hideout, during which attempt her fellow gang members got into a brawl with their rivals as a diversion for her group to move in and set the rival hideout on fire. During the trial process, it was found that she was Force-sensitive.

At the onset of her stay in a re-education camp, she was a little indisciplined, but she later came to learn discipline and respect, and more importantly, law and order and how to refine her methods. Nevertheless, given her background as a Force-sensitive, she was given Force-training, being ultimately released in the leadup to the Mustafar campaign, at the end of which her power in the Force became comparable to a fully-fledged Knight of Ren, working as a con artist on Barkhesh afterward. During the Skor campaign, she didn't like what she saw from the First Order's naval tactics that were used there and distanced herself from the First Order navy. It was around that point where she started to specialize as a con artist.

After that, she became more of a shadowy figure, planning her next move and she used the life of a more shadowy con artist to draw up preliminary carrier concepts, such as an interdictor carrier, or shielded attack craft, as well as planting false intelligence detailing campaign plans to throw enemy intelligence agencies off tangent. Factions that make use of the false intel will tend to plan based on suspicions of a particular commander showing up, which may or may not actually come, effectively making her an effective tool under the hands of a proponent of the fleet-in-being doctrine. Nevertheless, she regularly makes use of her own carrier or attack craft schematics as decoys for enemy intelligence.

Since you are using Galactic Alliance tags and this is a First Order-related NPC I would like to ask under what circumstances and operations you plan to use this NPC. There are some parts of this that irks me, and I'd rather find out whether or not you plan on using this for threads such as invasions before I go on.

All in all, I have major reservations about this. Ideally the NPC can be reworked into a non-FO NPC to avoid any and all issues that may -- and will -- arise from the NPC in its current state.

[member="Kaili Talith"] Even though her backstory contains a lot of First Order elements, I did remove her being associated to the First Order in an official capacity.

As for exactly how I intend to use her: Zathura will be mostly be there to serve as a source of false naval intelligence in battle, such as dominions with rogue Imperials as antagonists or in invasions with Imperial faction involvement, of which the GA or other known enemies of Imperial factions will be on the receiving end. Beyond that, I do not plan on any further use beyond the planting of false naval intelligence.

False intel can be a source of headaches for a protagonist, but she is more of a shadowy figure that will not attempt to enter direct combat until forced to.

Okay, now we're on track. :D

Small thing,

It was also there where she was bewildered by the First Order's inferiority in the areas of attack craft and carriers, and those feelings of inferiority haunted her since. Those feelings became even worse in the aftermath of Skor, where her worst fears pertaining to naval warfare, as fought by the First Order, came true.
You might want to rewrite or at least rephrase this part. It might come across as more of a slight at the First Order's writers than a statement that she quite simply didn't like what she saw in their tactics and therefore left.
