STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Strength:
- Quick learner for engineering and mechanics. Zel studied Engineering and Mechanics all his life, and has worked for an engineering company for an extensive period of time. Zel has a natural affinity for working within electrical components, and can pick up new systems and processes quickly and efficiently.
- Droid specialist. Zel has specialised in fixing, maintaining, and designing droids for 15 years as he worked for an engineering company.
- Logistician. Having started his own company with no help except from his own droids, Zel had to master the logistics for his entire chain of procurement, design, production, marketing, and delivery.
Weaknesses:
- Non-combatant. Zel carries a blast pistol with him all the time but couldn’t barely hit a rampaging wampa. He carries a vibrosword as well at all times, but this is for show and will more than likely his own arm off than the enemy.
- Fixated and obsessive. Zel is fixated on creating the biggest, strongest, and most deadly droids, always trying to design something bigger and better than before.
- Scatterbrained. Zel’s mind is constantly moving and working on things, and his attention switches between the variety of things on his mind. This can make having a conversation with Zel incredibly frustrating.
APPEARANCE:
Zel was a relatively tall by Falleen standards, standing at 5”3. Slim and narrow of build, with a narrow, oval face. Zel has a topknot going up and behind his head, dropping down to just below his shoulders. His skin tone is typically light blue tone, with darker shadings where small scales overlap. Typically Zel will be found in brown leathers covered in dirt, grime or oil from the incessant fiddling with prototype designs and modifications.
BIOGRAPHY:
Zel was always interested from an early age in the mechanics behind electronics, be it engines, droids, speeders, tanks, or eventually spaceships. The nuts and bolts behind it fascinated him. From an early age, he would fiddle about with the electronics in his house, until the age of 9 when his parents bought him a scrap droid for a couple of credits from a scrap yard. It took Zel 5 months of constant fiddling about, but he eventually managed to get the droid turned on, and able to talk. There was a limit to what even Zel could do with such a piece of scrap however, so this particular droid never got any further, but it did showcase his desire and natural affinity.
Taking his interest to heart, his parents purchased a broken but fixable basic protocol droid to help with their importing business. After fiddling and working on the droid for a mere 3 months, Zel had figured out how to fix the protocol droid, and even added further modules to enable it to translate over 500 languages, though he could never get Wookie to translate correctly for the droid.
Studying through highschool and university, Zel completed them all with flying grades in Engineering, Mechanics, and Maths. Following his studies he was snapped up by a local mechanic firm, and worked for 6 years fixing all sorts of electronics from consumer pieces of equipment, to vehicles and the odd fighter, light freighter, and dropship.
A waste of his talents, Zel left at the age of 28, and relocated to the planet Druckenwell after getting a job at a major engineering design corporation. This was where he began to truly shine, and worked on numerous projects designing and creating prototype engines, and then being part of a retrofitting team to update over 10,000 fighters to their new and improved engines.
This however wasn’t scratching that itch of designing, creating, and modifying his own Droid creations, and so at the age of 32, Zel took his savings, a loan from 2 different banks, and set up his own production corporation. Buying an old broken down production facility on Christophsis, Zel spent 5 months purchasing equipment, designing bespoke equipment, and buying the first little freighter, and a distribution center in Galactic Alliance capital Sullust.
