Intent: To provide Zenithian Imperium with a set of visors for the visually impared.
Development Thread: If Necessary
Manufacturer: Sasha Tank
Model: OPT-VV1 ( "Optics: Visor Version 1" )
Affiliation: The Zenithian Imperium

Modularity: No
Production: Limited
Material: Duraplast, visor components.

Strengths:
- Sight: Blind Users can see in infrared & EM signals.
- Zoom: The visor can zoom in x3 further than human sight.
- Message Relay: The visor can transmit a feed from nearby Zenithian monitors, on ships or not.
- Recovery: Can last for a week without charging.

Weaknesses:
- Chronic Pain: The visors are first model, and imperfect. They sent a continuous flow of neural signals to the brain, allowing sight at the cost of chronic headaches.

- EM Malfunction: The visors, like many forms of technology, are weak to EM Pulses. If weak, the visor's readings become blurry and unclear. If strong, the visor will down right stop working.

Description: Sasha Tank, an upcoming blind medic in the Imperium found herself living without the luxury so many possessed around her: Sight. She was cast off from her father as weak, and feeble. The Imperium offered their hand toward the female at a young age, not allowing her to battle, but devise a way to thwart the weaknesses of blindness. She began with familiarizing herself with the touch of tools, screws, and other equipment. The experience eventually leading to the invention of a visor, with the help of the Imperium. The Visor would latch onto neural implants placed onto the left and right side of her eyes, these implants allowing her to transmit neural signals from EM and Infrared pulses into something similar to sight. The visor would simply read whatever she looked at and convert it into EM and infrared signals for her brain to comprehend. Despite the slight tolerance built up over the years, she constantly underwent changes and improvements, constant check-ups and diagnostic checks. The visor was imperfect. It subjected her to chronic pain, be it a headache or eye irritation. This caused by the consistent and rapid rate of signals being accepted by the brain. However, it beat blindness. Sitting on a medical bed alongside a power-armor wearing individual in desperate condition, she saw past his minor like no normal pair of eyes could, reading his infrared signals and locating where the precise location of his wound was. She informed the doctor, and a much quicker journey to recovery was granted to the wounded individual. The doctor spoke to Sasha afterward, offering to teach her vital information in the medical field in exchange for her use of the visor to pinpoint wounds when soldiers were brought in from battle. The years continued, trial and error, remodel upon remodel yet the visor still managed to short out when exposed to EM Pulses. On the battlefield, the visor helped her locate downed men, even from x3 further away than a normal pair of eyes could see. With help from the engineering staff, she made the visor combat-resistant. Sturdy enough to survive a concussive blast nearby without hindering performance. Fragile enough to snap if wacked with a chain sword, however. The visor's development caught word, and she was allowed to design visors for others in the Imperium. This, however, is only version 1.
