Zephyr Cor
Age: 25
Species: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Human
Gender: male
Height: 1.8m
Weight: 104kg
Force-Sensitive: Yes
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Zephyr is a human man of average height with broad shoulders, a muscular build, and short hair with red eyes. He wears dark black robes with light armor plating on his shins, four arms, and chest. He has a resting face of smugness, a bad habit of staring.
INVENTORY
Robes with light armor plating. Green double-bladed Lightsaber. General repair kit. Standard survival kit and tool belt. A bag of heavy Durasteel balls X4.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Zephyr has a strong moral code that, while rooted in Jedi philosophy, has been warped and tainted by his pride and self-righteousness. Despising the inaction of his former Jedi superiors, he would rush to the defense of those he considers less than himself.
Zephyr also has a rather backwards view on non-Force Sensitives and Droids. Believing the former is inherently inferior to himself, and therefore his obligation to defend and guide to a better future, and the latter not being people at all, either property he needs to safeguard or collateral damage.
Zephyr is well on his way to falling to the Dark Side; his violence and cruelty disguised as altruism would be much more in line with a Sith Warrior than a Jedi Knight. But for now, his strict martial discipline and sense of duty have prevented him from devolving beyond the sad mockery of Jedi ideals that he currently is. Only time will tell if that will be enough.
STRENGTHS
As a former Padawan of the Jedi Order, Zephyr would be trained in basic Force abilities. Enhanced senses, reflexes, slightly better speed and endurance, and light Force Push. Enough to give him the edge against most non-Force Sensitives.
Zephyr had shown an early aptitude for Telekinetic Combat, carrying around heavy Durasteel balls to use in combat. His self-righteous arrogance makes him less susceptible to mental control.
He is trained in Form II Makashi and Form III Soresu, being more skilled with the second than the former.
He has enough engineering skills to keep a ship together and a droid functioning, but complex repairs are beyond him.
WEAKNESSES
Zephyr didn't finish his training as a Jedi, so while being intimidating to the common folk of the galaxy, a well-trained Force User would be a challenge for him to overcome. Knights and Sith Lords are well and truly beyond his skills. For now.
His arrogance and self-important world view leaves him open to manipulation. Anyone playing into his hero fantasy would have an easier time convincing him than someone who challenges him on his self-declared superiority.
Despite having genuine potential in both his Force Abilities and Saber Combat, his impatience and frustration with anything that does not come naturally to him have stunted his development. Traits that are slowly dragging him down into fully falling to the Dark Side.
HISTORY
Zephyr Cor was orphaned at a young age, never knowing his birth world or family before being taken in by the Jedi. Being trained in an age where the Jedi were recovering from a previous conflict with Dark Siders, his Master, a Twi'Lek woman named Nadona, tried to instill a sense of noble pride in what the Jedi were and what they will be in his generation in Zephyr.
This backfired in the worst possible way. Zephyr grew to be a forward and brash young man, convinced that he, and this new wave of Jedi, would re-tame the galaxy. Often butting heads with Nadona about the limits of Jedi authority, his Master taking the position that Jedi should only help where they are wanted. Counter to this, Zephyr insisted that those systems where the people suffer because their leaders don't want Jedi help should be forced into compliance.
All of this came to a head when Zephyr found out that he would not be allowed to take his Jedi Trials, instead reassigned to one of the Jedi Service Corps. He would get into one last heated argument with Nadona in her room, hurling insults and accusations, feeling hurt and betrayed. Ending when he used the Force in an outburst, accidentally sending her out the window. Shocked at what he had done, guilty for killing the woman he considered a mother, he grabbed what he could and fled.
His pride convinced him that he marched into the lawless Outer Rime Territories and Wild Space to do what the Jedi couldn't, bringing order and civilization to the galaxy. The cruel truth is that he was just running, that he's still running. Burying his grief and depression in combat and heroic delusions.
But unknown to him, Master Nadona survived. It will take years for her to recover, even with extensive cybernetics. But when she goes to look for her lost Padawan, what kind of monster she will find in his place has yet to be seen.
