Zero Hour (Open)

The chiss was standing there, looking at things while she wanted to contribute but she wasn't a fighter, she wasn't much of anything. Preferring to travel around and work on her diplomacy skills and she was a dedicated and skilled master of form ero. With no lightsaber on her hip and modified robes she was able to go around as her massive mane of purple hair went with her blue skin. Red eyes looking at everything around her in the room when she left it open for those who dind't want to always use their saber and to try and work on a few things she had learned about facing problems in the galaxy.

Jairdain unsure of what exactly this open class was going to be about, decided to indulge in her curiosity and walked into the room.

She still had yet to get a lightsaber of her own and couldn't even use the vibrosword she had or any of the training sabers. In her short life, Jairdain had yet to discover any real darkness, but knew it was there.

Smiling at the Jedi, she took a seat in one of the offered chairs.

"I am Jairdain."

The chiss was looking at her with a look at the padawan entered the room with a grin on her face seeing someone had come to join her here. She was not certain about all of the things that they had to do. "Hello I am Serenna one of the diplomats here at the temple." She said it while sitting there and would give a chance for others to join them so that they could learn hopefully how to search for different ways to handle and diffuse a situation that might be cropping up. "Welcome to what will hopefully be a good lesson everyone can learn."

Jairdain listened and tilted her head slightly as [member="Serenna"] spoke.

"I think you are the first diplomat Jedi I've met."

Though they were all supposed to strive for peace, it quite often ended up in a fight of some sort. She wanted to learn how best to avoid confrontations when possible. With the careful use of words it should be possible, but to also be able to use the Force to aid in negotiations would be a great benefit.

Well that wa sa compliment and something disheartening in many cases where she was looking at them. To really work on it and to really see some of the bigger parts that the jedi might have to work on. "Well there are others who work aas diplomats but I chose to dedicate my talents to it fully." She stood there and turned around showing she dind't have a lightsaber with her normal equipment that was mostly food and translater lexicon that had been made. "I prefer to talk and it goes a long way in some cases but I will admit that the wanting to fight from others instead of meeting at the table is strong in the galaxy. That is why some of the other skills to use are learning how to make your aura with the force calming, your voice soothing and to always research people and species."

All of this interested Jairdain greatly, since physical fighting was a weakness of hers. Her face showed this clearly and [member="Serenna"] would be able to read that easily.

"My aura?'

This was a word Jairdain had never heard before or knew what it was. Research shouldn't be an issue and she had a device that read to her since she couldn't read the words of papers or other written words.

"So far nobody here has treated me differently for being blind, but do you think that would effect negotiations?"

She was looking at her. "Sometimes, if the species relies on visual cues or things you have to see then there can be issues." There wasn't a lot of others, mental abilities and if they did it correctly could be handled. Maybe if the species only spoke with hand signals it could be another issue or coloration of their skin.... That might be rare and far between. "As for your aura, it is what the force makes around you. It shimmers and glows normally and as you do things it can change, adjust and move out as you use it. Some jedi know how to wrap it around themselves and make a barrier, others can use it like in the ancient times to influence planets."

Jairdain was relieved to hear her blindness was unlikely to cause any issues. She actually let out a sigh on hearing this. Tilting her head to the side she understood what an aura was. Even though she had never heard the word before, she had seen auras before. Instead of only being around people, it was around everything.

"How does one control their own aura?"

She had yet to need a use for a barrier, but wonders how it would work.

"Training a lot of practice and never thinking you know everything." She said it with a small grin on her face while she was going over it in her mind and since they were by themselves it meant they were only needing to rely on a few different things. "A good jedi knows you can never stop learning or practicing only those without a wanting to test themselves believe they can master a skill and stop." She moved around and adjusted her purple hair so the long ponytail was there. "Though some of the most important skills for this and to avoid conflict is how to maintain your head."

Jairdain nodded in full understanding, learning was an ongoing process and one that never ended.

"Life is all about learning, Master @Serenna. If a day goes by where I don't learn something new then that's the day I wake up dead."

She said this with a bit of humor to her voice and a slight smile on her face.

"Of all the students in my class, I was one of the most cool headed, though if needed to I could come down with an iron fist. Not in a bad way or anything, or lashing out with emotion. But to calm a situation, somebody needed to step in and take control."
