SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Protective Weave
STRENGTHS
  • Protective Weave: Zeyd-Weave provides a surprisingly decent protective capability in a fairly unassuming package. Spacers Leather supported by Zersium fibers and Flexisteel bindings all encased in Zeyd-Cloth give the wearer a solid defensive material to rival the more common Armorweave. The material is light and comfortable, able to be used outright as armor itself or as padding for more traditional armor. As well as defensive or stylish clothing of course.
WEAKNESSES
  • Layering: While the Zeyd-Weave's defensive capability is respectable enough on its own, for it to rival medium or heavier armor materials in any factor it requires multiple layers of padding. As such it is largely limited to lighter armors and clothing or potentially medium armor at best. Additionally it is somewhat less defensible against lightsabers compared to Armorweave.
DESCRIPTION
Zeyd-Cloth has been a traditional and iconic Sith material for thousands of years and the Order of Wonosa would very much put the traditional material to use themselves. From ceremonial and priestly garb to less ornate attire such as common robes or even soldier's clothing, Zeyd-Cloth would quickly become a staple material of the cult. When it came to their Sith and armed forces however, often times the traditional cloth would have to be replaced or set aside in favor of more protective fabrics such as Armorweave.

This wouldn't be too much of an issue but many would lament having to forgo their favored cloth in exchange for extra protection, predominantly by priests in combat roles or attached to armed forces and the Sith of the cult as a whole. Manufacturing Zeyd-Cloth and Armorweave by this point wasn't too much of an issue so availability wasn't a factor, rather simplicity was. Armorweave, while not too challenging to produce, did require a few additional materials that the cult was forced to import or scavenge which did slightly impact production ease at times. An Armorweave alternative was posed several times but not until recently did the Order dedicate any real resources to the project.

While slightly less defensible than its counterpart, the Zeyd-Weave that the engineers of Wonosa would craft did prove to be somewhat lighter than traditional Armorweave while offering almost the same level of protection. The moral boost of being able to wear their treasured Zeyd-Cloth at all times would also be noted by their engineers as another advantage of the new material. Zeyd-Weave is cheaper to produce although does require similar manufacturing time overall and as such is more an alternative to Armorweave than a true competitor, making it less than ideal to sell as a product to the wider galaxy. It has been introduced to Sith markets however and plans to incorporate into future armors produced by Wonosa have already been made, with some denizens of the Outer Rim coming to label it with the nickname of "Sith Cloth" as a result.
