+ Artificial Connection: Through Sith alchemy and science, Zhanna has a connection to the Force. A rare trait for her kind, albeit one that is entirely unnatural.
+ Fighting Dirty: Years spent moving between the Underground Dueling Rings has embedded the notion of not fighting fairly. To Zhanna honour is not a high priority, survival is. It has made her unpredictable to her opponents, and aided her in her attempts to rise above her fellow acolytes.
- Tailless: Aside from the societal scorn, the lack of a tail has made things physically difficult for Zhanna. Where certain things were usually second nature to her kind, they are now unreachable for her. Not to mention the heightened difficulty in learning her native way of fighting. And even to this day, there are moments where she spontaneously loses balance, sometimes in dire situations.
- Diseased: Like any other Komodi, Zhanna has her fair share of ailments that are common amongst them. Although she is still young; and yet to discover more, Zhanna is already dealing with both ingrown and atypical horns. It's a slow process each time, but when they do get long enough it's nothing but immeasurable pain. Immobilizing her for a time after they're cut.

Snippets of a Tailless Life:
- Born on Tatooine in a moderately sized clan. Childhood filled with scorn and ridicule due to her lack of a tail.
- Was disowned from the clan after a incident, a violent fight against one of her siblings.
- Explored the galaxy a little, then winded up falling into the Underworld's Dueling Rings.
- Learned how to fight and survive, visited several of the more...undesirable planets along the way. Nar Shaddaa, Nal Hutta, etc.
- Climbed the dueling ranks, only to mysteriously disappear just before her first appearance in the big leagues.
- Kidnapped and experimented on by an unknown Sith. Had a Ruusan crystal surgically embedded into her body.
- Woke up in a Sith Academy, apparently admitted into as a student.
- Met a particular Sith, one that was looking for like-minded individuals amongst their ranks.
