BIOGRAPHY:
Z'Zharen was born on the Whipid home world of Toola. He was part of a small tribe, most of whom were blood relatives. In Whipid culture it was common to migrate with and then leave one tribe for another. Familial ties in Whipid culture were not like most species, they were more of a loose group of individuals. Even from childhood, Z'zharen felt a stronger bond to his family which set him apart from his kind. This was often looked at as an obsessive and "clingy" nature.

Z'zharen was an average hunter, though his true talent was fighting. It is to be noted Whipids do not wage war or raids with their own kind. Usually its a personal disagreement or dislike between two individuals that could end in a violent display of one on one combat. Zhar would spar or "play fight" with his kin and the occasional visitor from another tribe. Even full adult males could not defeat Zhar in these spar matches. At the very best they could tie with Zhar to a point the two would fall tired.

When Zhar was an adolescent his tribe had come across a small island in the spring time which they briefly colonized. The nature of Whipids is to be in constant motion, however another difference Zhar displayed was his compulsion to stay in one area. He truly believed the island should remain the permanent home of the tribe. The Spear Master and elder of the tribe was concerned that Zhar was trying to disrupt the most instinctive ways of their culture. She and Zhar went for a long swim in the frigid sea, the young Whipid was rebellious to her consul saying he felt differently. In Whipid culture when a young one would not listen to their elder's consul for the long walks or in this case swim, they did not return to the tribe.

Zhar knew if he returned to his tribe he could still travel with them, but he would be shunned. Heartbroken and worried other tribes would treat him the same, Zhar travelled on his own for a year until he reached a trading post. He offered to trade work for passage off world. In a few months of mostly lifting and transporting crates he made his way to Kashyyyk. The Wookiees were surprisingly kind to Zhar, offering to show him parts of their world, the local fauna and in a way adopted him into their culture. This comfort and happiness was short lived within the few months of time he spent on Kashyyyk, Zhar and his hunting party encountered other hunters, but instead Zhar and his companions were the prey.

Slavers had captured Zhar's Wookiee friends and were able to over power and stun Zhar to capture him as well. When Zhar awoke he was no longer on the lush forest world, but instead a filthy metalic city planet. Nar Shadda. Zhar was sold to a Muun on the dreary Smuggler's Moon. His new master was very cold and greedy, he purchased Zhar to fight in his private underground arena tournaments. Counting on the stereotypes of Whipids being savages and ruthless warriors, the Muun speculated he could make quite the profit if Zhar could at least last through the end of one tournament.
In the first few weeks Zhar was reluctant to fight anyone the Muun ordered him to. As punishment, the Whipid was isolated in a cell and was barely fed one quarter portion of his required diet for a week. The Muun expected this would break the Whipid and unleash his feral nature. When Zhar was released into the pit, he did give in to anger and beat his opponents brutally. However he never killed, he held back just enough to deliver a knock out strike. Crowds wanted to see the loser's final defeat more than the actual fight. The crowds began to shrink and Zhar hoped this would ruin the Muun's fighting pit reputation and his credit accounts.

As time went on, Zhar would continue to win his matches, but refused to kill taking punishment each time. The Muun would still gain from bets, but was loosing viewers over the years. The Muun would continue to punish Zhar by withholding food, rest and time to heal from matches or ordered beatings. 3 years later...Zhar endured, he was undefeated in the pits, but it was a personal embarrassment to the Muun.
During these dreadful years, Zhar had only found one source of happiness. An elderly Paun healer, an employee of his Muun master. She would not just tend to Zhar's battle wounds, but also speak to him. She showed compassion and for that he would be eternally greatful. One night during a medical checkup, the old healer had told Zhar she planned on leaving Nar Shadda. She wished she could buy Zhar's freedom, but she had only enough to barely get herself off world and fine a new home to retire. She did give Zhar one parting gift. A chance at freedom. On her last day working for the Muun, she paid a visit to the main power unit of the Muun's estate and sub level prison cells. The old woman had sabatoged the circuitry and brought the power grid down within the estate. Zhar's shielded cell, dissapaited and he did not hesitate. He ran through the darkened halls, dodging and fighting security droids.

In time he broke free of the under ground estate, though he was still in the under city. He found a shuttle that was about to take off for the higher levels, he took a leap of faith and gripped the haul for deal life as it raised fast and high to the upper levels of Nar Shadda.

Zhar had jumped from the shuttle and relished in his escape behind a dumpster in an alley. Breathing heavily, he made the misstake thinking he had time to re-cooperate. The Muun had sent one of his elite body guard droid to take down Zhar. It revealed it's self by diving down from the rooftops that over looked Zhar and his dumpster haven. He wieled an electro-staff, twirling and swinging as it crashed down on the dumpster. Zhar was desprate, angry and tired. He would not surrened, he would not die a slave. With perhaps too much confidence, instead of dodging the electro-staff he seized it with one hand, the pain was sharp and burned. Zhar shoved the staff into the chest plate of the droid and endured to hold on as both he and the droid were electrcuted, but the droid short circuited. Now injured and lost, a wounded Zhar made his ways onto the streets of Nar Shadda. Trying to hide his massive prescence under a wraggy cloak he found near the dumpster, the young Whipid endured on in search for safety and possibly a way off world.
