SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Serves as a chronometer for divers
  • Serves to show depth, salinity, and pressure.
  • Monitors blood oxygen, and nitrogen levels through biometric readings of the wearer
  • Bands come in a variety of fun colors
STRENGTHS
  • Life safety device for explorers in submerged aquatic exploration situations
  • Uses Biometrics to monitor the diver, but in the event skin contact is loss, the archaic backup system utilizing several inputs monitors depth and dive time to provide a rough-guestimate of your next surface interval
WEAKNESSES
  • Basically an expensive watch and no other purpose
  • If biometric lock (skin contact) with the DivePad is broken the system will use preset surface interval times based on user input data and the last dive. This can prevent getting back into the water as fast as the body is ready to, lessening the experience of the diver as they may be wasting valuable fives of minutes at the surface
DESCRIPTION
Named for a famed, or mythical, whichever is more true, Oceanographer, the Zissou DivePad is a wrist top datapad with a very clear mission. Protecting the wearer from their own excitement and tunnel vision. At Galaxy Frontiers LTD, we are all explorers at heart, and understand the joys and challenges of seeing a new place for the first time. Or the hundredth time. Life is better, down where its wetter, and we want to make sure that our clients are able to continue visiting for years to come. The Zissou DivePad is a platform that serves to monitor time of day, dive time and depth (submerged time), and creating a personal minimum surface time for the wearer. Nitrogen Narcosis is no joke, and while the DivePad cannot enforce your time on the surface, it will make your next dive filled with a high pitched beep should you bring the Pad in on your dive before your recommended time on the surface.

And how does the DivePad do this? Based on your species, age, weight, compressed air type, dive time, and depth, and the DivePad's own biometric monitoring system, the gas-mixture in the wearer's blood is monitored at depth and at the surface to ensure proper gas management.
