STANDARD FEATURES

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Multitasker: This droid has a multitude of Proton Auxiliary droid brains to assist the main ATHENA DCOS with properly maintaining control over several functions, also allow it to either act as a control unit for a large number of droids (the smaller and more primitive the droid, the more the QB can control), as such it can have both civilian as well as military applications. EX. It could control several larger construction droids in tandem, effectively increasing efficiency and speed at which the job gets done.
  • Enslavement process: This droid is considered very capable at slicing, capable of processing and altering lines of code at a frightening speed, allowing it to infiltrate systems and dominate them should this be required.
  • Portable: Relatively small in size, this droid can be carried along by light vehicles and even a couple of people, making them easy to transport and stow away when they are not coupled to other droids or drones.
STRENGTHS
  • Excellent defenses: This droid has all the basic shield systems in place bar for the reactor to fully optimize the three systems like the SIXTUS pack would do, but thanks to these three types of shielding, the QB is more or less defended against the majority, if not all standard types of weaponry.
  • OmniSpatial Travel: While these QB models do not fall in the category of droid starfighter, they do have the capacity to maneuvre in both air, water and space thanks to their solid build and uniformly resistant build against pressure and the lack thereoff, granted excellent movement for their lightweight package thanks to the MAM jet maneuvring gear and the RAS missile propulsion system.
  • Control a full workforce: The QB can effectively take control of droids and drones and act as a core to a swarm of drones or a control unit for a small detachment of droids, allowing for a company or other entity to easily operate on a much larger scale without the added operational effort.
WEAKNESSES
  • Limited enslavement: While the ZMDIII QB is technically capable to enslave and dominate any type of droid, they have more issues with those with higher built in resistences and those of a semi unique and unique nature due to the fact that those are always much higher quality in both coding and defenses against slicing. Therefor it is usually advised to solely rely on ZMD's when utilizing the QB to its fullest extend.
  • It's not a starfighter: While the droid is certainly faster than any human or biological being in the air and in space, it does not compare to a starfighter of the highest order and does lack any form of hyperdrive.
DESCRIPTION

The NZ ZMDIII QB is the result from a desire within the company to allow for a control unit to be used in regions were oversight by biological personel is hard and has to be limited. AT least, that was the original intent when creating the QB or "Queen Bee" control unit, but over time, the company realized that it had some additional benefits to create such a compact and multifunctional control unit: namely it could be used not only in civil applications such as mining and construction, but could also have military applications in the form of effectively controlling a detachment of security or combat droids, but also a large number of drones to further aid in aerial, subnautical or spatial defense and offense.

With the permission of the HPI and the FAE companies, the N&Z EnSol had decided to once again rely mainly on the two aforementioned companies to optimize the QB's electrical and cybernetic loadout, though adding as much of the N&Z's known additionas and upgrades to avoid it relying too much on outside technology that it could be corrupted by those who know the layout and specifications of the FAE and HPI systems. As such designers did decide to use the SSTC soft slicer technoilogy couplers to not only link the Proton cores to the ATHENA DCOS, but also in order to up the internal protection against outside interference by putting the coding on loop and adding scramblers.

To propel itself, the QB is loaded with both the MAM mkII jet maneuvring system and the RAS missile propulsion system to act as both primary and secondary thrusters, all the while employing a magnetic field in conjunction with repulsor lifts for hovering and lateral movement without the outright need for fuel consumption or the excess heat that comes from the thrusters.

While heavily protected by three types of standard shields and the added force shield courtesy of First AStral Engineering in case of the QB/L type, when these shields are depleted, its sturdy build and material choice may still see it as one tough nut to crack in combat, though well aimed lightsaber thrusts and heavy caliber energy bolts such as from an antimaterial rifle or heavy laser canon could shut down the QB.
