Zombie Apocalypse! (Come dance with me in the end of days)

News Flash! Tycho City has been declared a no man's land! Neighboring governments on the planet Radeon are falling into disarray and CHAOS as the infection spreads unfettered. The undead roam, caring not for borders. A plan has been put into motion to stop and even turn back the tide of decimation, but Radeon is in need of outside help. The Z-Com Protocol has been activated. Who will take up the mantles of Z-Com and purge the menace before all is lost?

So, that was a cool intro...ish...at least, I think so.

Anyway, who wants to do a zombie survival/war thread? It can be as long or as short as you want (along with a myriad of other details), but we need to figure it out here.

Symptoms of hyper salivation, insomnia, and fever were the first signs of trouble. Poly and Autophagia were soon followed by cannibalism and psychosis. Tycho City, being the capital of a country renowned for its most advanced medical expertise resisted outside help, thinking in vain that they could handle it. However, the virus mutated fast and didn't affect animals. So, they couldn't use animals for testing and the virus became increasingly different/complex. By the time they had made leeway, the majority of the city had been infected.

Riots broke out and Acute Encephalitis & Anaerobic Resuscitation started dropping the populace in droves. Cytopathic Reanimation took effect and the dead were turned into zombies. Variation of zombies allowed for genetic freedom to develop in different ways. Some are very strong and can bite through clothing. Some excel during the day while others at night. Some can spit out projectile acidic saliva. Some can explode due to a build-up hydrogen sulfide and methane gases.

All are dangerous. All are unpredictable. Watch yourselves out there. Your characters will be aware that there is rioting and mass chaos enveloping the city. The safest foothold for you to set up shop and see how you can help the city will be a hospital. Getting to the hospital will have taken you well past the point of no return. You arrive at the hospital to find that no one is there and that the situation on the planet is much worse. The first few top floors are empty, but there will be a scaling zombie presence the farther down you go based on how long you are there and what exactly you do.

Though voodoo and magic zombies are my personal preference (Check out the movie White Zombie from 1932. It's a great movie.) this sounds bad ass. I'm still up for it and it sounds interesting.

Oh, and you all have the choice of deciding whether or not you want this thread to be considered canon or non-canon for your character. If you want your character to go through MAJOR development, then you may consider this canon. If you wish to have some zombie fun, but not worry about long term consequences like disfiguring/horrifying injuries or death, than you may view this as non-canon.

I will begin work now and I will link this OOC thread to the initial post for late comers to catch up on the gist of it.
