Jorus Merrill

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
[*]Total Length: 1983m
[*]Notable Characters: Jorus and Mara Merrill occasionally take an advisory role, as might senior Judges such as [member="Dax Fyre"] or [member="Bryce Bantam"], or longtime Undergrounders like [member="Flint Michigan"].
[*]Ports of Call: Zonju V, Zonju IV (hot, sparsely populated), Terminus, Cantros, Elysian, Imynusoph, Kinooine
COMBAT INFORMATION
[*]Weaknesses:
[*]Description: The Zonju Defense Force was instituted as part of the Coalition's monitoring and defense efforts on its spinward border. Its patchwork composition reflects diverse origins. The Underground stole the 'Grave Wind' from the Lords of the Fringe many years ago; the Pimbrellan League and Qektoth Confederation, both members of the Coalition, provided one ship apiece; the Peregrine-class light carrier was inherited from the Levantine Sanctum by way of the Underground; the RebelX is a modern Underground vessel; and the scout ship 'Black Dagger' was a recent creation composed largely of salvage. The Zonju Defense Force has options, but few of them are straightforward, and Captain Conor - an Undergrounder of Kal'Shebbol origin - must exercise a good deal of creative flexibility.

COMBAT INFORMATION
- Strengths:
The Zonju Defense Force is weird. Several of its ships and weapons were designed tens of thousands of light-years away from galactic standard civilization. It tends to do well against enemies that haven't run into such things before.
[*]Weaknesses:
- This task force is a hodgepodge of various technologies. Apart from the supply line and repair issues, the major problem is that each ship has a vastly different mission profile. For example, the Grave Wind excels at extreme-range combat, while the Qektoth and Pimbrellan ships and RebelX gunships require close range for maximum effectiveness. A canny commander has options, but marching this task force up to your average slugging match as if it's any other fleet will produce poor results.
